Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.
We have a guest book. Take a look. If you haven't taken a look yet, be sure and do so. ^_^

V day. The day love to be shared by those whose hearts intertwine, feelings and emotions to be filled by the heart, the day that Akai would let his thoughts think of, indulge in, revel in her. He had just opened the door to room, room 10 - 4th floor. Upon entering, the back pack was tossed to the side at the next to the closet door - entering deep into the den and there was a chair awaiting to be sit upon.
Exhausted - a deep exhale freed itself, rushing from the lungs as the air was forced out with that same reckless abandon that was apart of his core character, finger tips grip at the arm of the chair as he pulled himself forward to look back towards the door to spot something upon the floor.
"Interesting. . ."He didn't figure he was one to receive secret Valentines - yet, why else would a strange envelope be sitting upon the threshold of his room. He moved with ease, slipping from the chair with a virtual glide, doe like grace and fluidity as the envelope was sweft up from the floor. Walking over to the computer desk, the letter opener was grabbed, implemented,
the contents then spilling into his fingers. . . where he would start to read
Re: St. V(alentine)'s Day (attention, you!)
The door to Knives's dorm room opened, and the dog boy stepped inside. All of his day's classes, errands, and other duties had been completed, and he had nothing to do for the moment, so what else could he do but spend some time in his own room? As his blue eyes wandered about the room for the first time since that morning, and as the smells and scents that he and his roommate had left behind filled his nose, Knives thought to himself for a moment, a slight smile on his face.
"Guess Jun isn't around." It was true; Jun's smell was definitely in this room from the time the other student had been in there, but it was a rather old scent, obviously from earlier. Jun was nowhere to be seen; which wasn't unusual. In fact, since his roommate had returned, Knives had only actually seen him once; neither of them were ever really around the room, and they had completely different sleeping schedules. Jun was basically Knives's roommate and acquaintance, and nothing more. So all Knives did was shrug at his findings, and move to the couch at the center of the room...he liked company, but had no problem watching TV by himself for a little bit as he rested from the day. He'd do his social things after he had some time to be lazy.
It wasn't until now, as Knives's eyes swept the room, that he saw something out of the ordinary. A red note on the floor caught his eye; that surely wasn't there before! A laugh escaped the dog boy, as he redirected himself to the envelope, swept it from the floor into his hands, and continued his path to his seat. After plopping down onto the comfortable cushions of the couch, he grinned down at the note.
It was Valentine's Day, the day to be with your lovers. Knives was all too familiar with this; unfortunately, he had no lover this year. His latest crush had disappeared from the school to who-knows-where, and he hadn't yet met someone else. And even though he'd gotten his share of valentines today, he didn't really know any of the girls he'd gotten them from....so what was the point? He laughed a little as he opened it and read the note....
....to find that there was no name. A secret admirer? Knives chuckled again, shrugged, and read the rest of the note.
(OOC:I'll add Saori later, so that by splitting my post in half it's more manageable o.o Besides, I haven't yet decided what to do with her...)

Re: St. V(alentine)'s Day (attention, you!)
Such a unique world we live in. Celebrations seem to be handed out for any and all events that mark a moment in history. We have a celebration for a man when he was born where presents are exchanged, then another for when the same man died where we don't eat meat, and another, still for the same man, when he came back to life, where we look for colored eggs and eat candy.
There's a holiday comemorating the event that led to the theft of the land that we now call home, a holiday where children dress like the dead fabled to have risen for the day, then instead of resolving issues of their past, they go door to door tricking for treats.
On the fifth of May, the Mexicans celebrate their independance by drinking and blowing stuff up. On the fourth of July, the Americans celebrate the same thing, by drinking and blowing stuff up.
The world universally celebrates a day an Irish saint that converted many to christianity died on the seventeenth of March, and they do it by drinking and marching in a parade.
The one thing that tied these seamingly unalike celebrations to one another? The greeting card. First mass produced by a company called American Greetings in 1906, these cards featured characters and sayings associated with all the aforementioned holidays, and some just set on the cards for fun.
Today's February the fourteenth, and Darrien had woken up late as any other day. He had his time, rather than rushing for class, he took a long shower, had a couple mugs of a soft breakfast espresso, then finally got dressed as glamorously as always. From head to toe he was decked for the day. His rainbow locks hidden by a pink and black fedora; his muscular upper body layered over first by a white undershirt, then a pink tinted dress shirt, a pink and black tie, and a black low necked sweater vest; his perfectly chiseled legs covered in a pair of khaki linen dress trousers, soft resilk socks, and white suede dress shoes.
He slung his pack over his shoulder, opened his door, and took a step out. When he turned to lock the door, he noticed something taped to it in an envelope. Taking it off, he carefully opened the envelope. It contained a valentine, generic as it was, void of any mark whatsoever that could lead to its origin.
In his fifteen years, Darrien had experienced a few admirers that made offerings like this covertly, and he'd disposed of them all in the same ritualistic fashion: two vertical folds, one diagonal, matching flaps down, then -wheeee_ they all fly away. This, however, was different. No post script professing a hidden love, no cute little heart drawings. Clearly, this was something a bit more special. Clearly, an adventure was in order. The barer of this card would have to be found, questioned as to their motive, and thanked duely.
Viva la Coolie!
Re: St. V(alentine)'s Day (attention, you!)
Kobita was following his prefered sleep schedule, a 24 hour one. A lot had happened as of late and sleep was a good way to avoid thinking about any of it. It was a pleasant sleep however, a rare comodity lately. The young boy was sleeping sprawled out on the bed, covers halfway off the bed and an occasional snore came from the room.
Beneath the boy's eyelids, an epic battle raged. The valiant hero dodged the fireball, flipping expertly through the air before cleaving the giant monster head to toe. The warrior wiped the remains of the monster from his armor as he set his eyes on his prize, the treasure among treasures. The warrior reached for it, and reached for it and reached for it and...
A loud thud came from inside the room as the sleeping Kobita was blindly waving and stretched his arms out before he stretched himself over the side of the bed, his head colliding with the nightstand on the way down.
Numerous groans came from the boy as he shook his head to clear the cobwebs. It was then he heard the footsteps outside his door, moving away toward the stairs. He groggily wiped the sleep from his eyes as he noticed the red envelope halfway protruding from beneath his door.
Kobita slowly picked himself up and wandered over to the door. The clueless boy had no idea what it could possibly be. He wasn't even sure what month it was, much less what day. A message relating to Valentine's day was the last thing he would have suspected it to be. He slowly picked up the envelope and opened it, hoping it wasn't some sort of report card.

First floor:
Kanami had looked away once, searching for her keys in her backpack. Annoyed that she didn't find them immediately, she dropped the bag on the floor and began to rummage around. Good lord how she HATED this holiday! The sight of red, heart-shaped balloons annoyed her to no end.
"Stupid holiday, nothing more than a sham perpetuated by capitalistic corporations and an inane social construction based on an abstract emotion!" Kanami muttered to herself, although others would be able to hear her. She had never been one to care whether others would hear her or not; besides their reactions are priceless!
And then she would spy the keys at the bottom of the bag, wedged between two books. Kanami swore, retrieved them and then looked up to the door...where a red envelope waited for her, suspended by a single peice of tape.
"Oh what the hell! This better not be a trap." Kanami stepped back once and kicked the door hard enough for the envelope to fall. No explosions or trace or white powder; it must be safe! Kanami picked up the envelope and carefully opened the envelope where inside a card waited for her...
On the third floor, Amber Ramius was trying on a new dress for this particular occasion. Her choice was a red and black tartan jumper skirt checkered with heart patterns and heart-shaped pockets trimmed with black lace. The white blouse was rather normal, but soft to the touch, with lace only around the collar. Her hair, normally straight, had decided to gain a soft curl at the tips; she wondered if her hear would turn out to be wavy like her mother's.
A hot plate boiled water for tea and the smell of cherry blossom and jasmine filled the room. Maybe she was waiting for a guest...or maybe it would be a ready offer for anyone who decided to come to her rooom. Amber spun around once in her dress and faced the mirror again.
"Ah, good! It fits perfectly!" She said so cheerfully. Now all that was left was whether or not to apply any lipstick or go with the usual lip gloss.
Shhk.
The soft rustle of a paper pushed under her door. Amber almost would've dismissed it had she not decided to glance over towards the hotplate. A white envelope, the shape and quality that only a card could come in. The girl blinked before trotting over to the door, retriving the card.
"No name."
Curious as always, she would open it to read it...

Re: St. V(alentine)'s Day (attention, you!)"Mother!' was the exclimation resounding on the fourth floor at that very moment in time.
Vash's mother had decided to pay him a visit at his dorm room. The two rarely saw eachother anymore and with the addition of not having the hurse anymore, it made the distance virtually insurmountable in a timely manner. However, today was a special day for her little half-vampire boy. It was his very first St. Valentine's Day!
"Just sit still," she wined, trying to fix the stuggling boy's hat. "You want to look nice today, don't you?"
With another grumble, Vash obediently stopped whatever fuss he had been making and let the more fashionable mother do what justice she could to her son's appearence. Emily had planned for this event for months. She knew her son had his eye on someone special for quite some time. He had never said anything, but mothers just knew that sort of thing. Emily had even gone so far as to buying the materials and sewing together an exact replica of his normal attire, though in white instead of black. Only a few alterations had been made, like the black ring around the base of his hat, the swanky dress shoes instead of the combat boots and the lack of tears, patches and holes in the entire ensemble were a few noticable differences.
The mother hadn't spared any detail on the outfit. Even Vash's sword, Judgement, was dressed up for the ocassion. Polished and sharpened to a perfection, the sword glistened when unsheathed. The sheath was remade from a white dyed leather to compliment the new look. As an added touch, a small light pink ribbon was tied into a bow just below the pommel of the hilt. Emily couldn't help but admire her work after tieing the bow.
"There! Now both you and your father look stunning," she said with a half smile on her face.
Vash could only stare back at his mother with the same look on his face. He knew she missed his father terribly. This holiday could only tear her heart apart even more. It had been a short time since he had learned what his mother must have felt for his father, but he could sympathise for the loss. Her face suddenly brightened as she saw her son was starting to be down trodden about her own saddened expression.
"Now, now. It can't be helped. Besides, this is your day, not mine."
She's always so cheerful... Vash thought as he hugged his mother.
Without another hesitation, he picked up the dozen roses he had picked and eventually wrapped himself (after many frustrating hours of his mother's instruction) and quickly slipped out of the room. Before he could go any further, however, he felt something tap his shoulder ever so gingerly. His head snapped to look at what was but nothing was there. The hallway was completely empty. No movement, no slamming doors, nothing! What was going on? He quickly looked in the opposite direction to see a shadow slipping around the corner of the hallway. A curious look was stuck on the young dunpeal's face until he noticed the small red envalope stuck in his pocket. He assumed whoever had turned the corner was responcible for it. With a deft claw, he tore open the top of the envalope and took out the mysterious card. A valentine, for him? He read for a name but there didn't seem to be any evidence of one. A quick smell of the card would surely reveal the ans-
"Oh my! Your first valentine!" his mother squeeled as she snapped a few quick pictures.
The blinding flashes caught Vash off guard and he sprawled in a confused daze down the hallway. Something of a "good luck" was shouted from a distant voice while multicoloured spots popped infront of the dunpeal. He couldn't believe the pain his eyes were in, or the flashes of colour that wouldn't stop. Once his vision had returned, he noticed the roses were in perfect condition, that he had made his way to the fourth floor in the stairwell and that the valentine was now gone. It was a shame, but he had to maintain focus on his true goal. Shaking his head to regain his composure he quickly stepped down to the third floor and hastily raced down the hallway. The overwhelming smell of jasmine and something sweet that he couldn't particularly put his finger on came from beneath the door he was now standing infront of. It made him smirk as he gave one heavy sigh before knocking on the door.

Re: St. V(alentine)'s Day (attention, you!)A card without a name...
Amber could only smile and set the valentine card on her desk. It was a thoughtful gesture, though anonymous. Right now she had something else to worry about; finally deciding on a light pink and glossy lipstick. It was rare of her to wear makeup and she was not about to start now. The winged girl fussed with sudden curled ends of her hair and clipping two heart-shaped barettes into her hair, all the while her eyes would dart to the desk, glancing at the valentine card. The card had settled in the shadow of a small stack of her project: a handsewn heart pouch with red and pink plaid for the pattern. To open the pouch, one had to pull a white string, inside were various things: a packet of cherry blossom and green tea, few peices of candy, a fortune or a written message depending on the recipient.
A sudden knock at her door would both snap her out of her daze and reminding her that the tea was ready!
"Ah, one moment please!" She quickly trotted over to the special hot plate, opened the lid of the kettle and pulled out the tea strainer from inside and resting it inside of a small glass plate. Now that she had that out of the way, Amber walked over and opened the door, bowing her head first, her slightly curled-ended locks bouncing:
"Sorry about that, and Happy Valentine's-" The pause came the moment she lifted her head. A familiar being dressed in familiar clothes and yet she almost didn't recognize him: crisp and free of the usual tears or holes in the fabric, and in his arm were a dozen red roses that looked so much brighter. It was a shock for the nephilim at first for she had been so used to seeing him wrapped in dark colors! She had expected maybe red and black, but this she could admit was a nice surprise.
"Ah, kakkoii..." she said clasping her hands together and not even realizing that she had lapsed into Japanese for that second. "You're...you look different! I mean...you look nice!"
