It's October 16th. OFFICIAL word by Lucasfilm themselves... you can also check out the statement they released on starwars.com

One more thing....
It's a world wide release (inside a week anyway) and anyone in the UK will apparently get it first on the 15th. Before even the Americans.
Rejoyce UK residents! We finally get something nice before the Americans!
George Lucas must like the UK...
Lot's of extra's so keep a look out for it. 6 hours worth apparently...
For all those original trilogy lovers, apparently Phantom Menace is only the first to appear on DVD, so keep a look out.

OT: Star Wars: Phantom menace
Wow that is so cool and this must be a new trend, We over here are getting stuff first a lot more in the last couple of months. I would tell you some examples but I can't be bothered.
