Steamfont 'Save the Gnomes' Event
I have no idea the duration of it, but this is what I gather so far.
Meldrith is in charge of the evil maleoficients and Malevants that are going against the gnome 'eldrich' faction.
All 3 factions are against each other. Sometimes, killing maleo's will not spawn anything, while sometimes they'll spawn another one.
The guild I'm apped to spent about 3 hours hardcore on this trying to keep the eldrich alive.. but we were hardly able to put a dent into them.. and this was elemental group with about 30 people.
A belt dropped, clr dru shm only that was ok stats , when we managed to trigger a named - although we have no idea how he triggered.

It seemed to be a typical 'GM event' where lots of people die. All the mobs seem to have despawned around 3 AM on The Nameless. Someone got a 10/19 sword with Ykesha proc.

went for 5 hours yesterday, was a total waste of time. the NPCs attacked you if you helped or healed anyone. Near the end they randomly attacked anything that moved. A few level 40 gear items dropped. 2 recommened 65 items droped, 65hp around there.
edit - your sig file appears to be too big. Sig and personal pic together must be under 15k. I think that if you made them jpg that should do the trick. - LTEdited by: Llabak Tharr at: 5/1/04 9:50 am

Actually the problem is / was that people (at least when I was there yesterday) were AEing.
You help someone that did this then it causes a chain reaction aggroing both sides.
It was mass chaos with skeletons everywhere in the zone. Sometimes they were grouped up to 8 of them which caused death in seconds.
There was a nice FT / ATK neck with 65 or 85 HP on it that got awarded. The way things go you can't just random on the loot.
No one knew exactly what to do.

It's a mess on EMarr as well.
The NPCs are just royal rumbling and casting AEs i had to hit escape and run.

On Drinal we were able to pop halv the corrupted, but I dont think the quest got any further than that. He dropped a Crystal of Control.

On E'ci, it reminds me of 28 Days Later, just laggier. Just swarms of nasties running around and killing stuff. I suppose there could be some rhyme or reason that I'm missing, about how to control it, but with 100 good guys, 100 bad guys, and my framerate, I wasn't about to figure anything out.
Did stay there for a few hours last night and tonight trying to get stuff done. Got some 15-50 hp items off randoms, best drop was prolly a 25/25/25 aug.
