Storyguide 'slots'
Hi guys. In order to ensure that we give everyone a chance to act as storyguide, fit in house meetings, run longer adventures etc - then I think it might be best to try to organise things.
For adventures, house meetings etc that are expected to take more than an hour or so, I thought it might be an idea for people to 'book' the session you expect to run it in. So that 2 or 3 players get a go, I'd suggest that a 'slot' is around 3-4 hours long (so if your adventure is likely to be much longer you may need to book more than one slot).
In terms of timing (within the game years) we usually cover 2 years in a session, though that can vary (e.g. last session we covered 1 year of game time). So if you are running something in a 'few years time' - you may need to hold off booking a slot until it will be more predictable when that will be.
Re: Storyguide 'slots'
To give more time for Pad next session, one possibility would be for me to run the Heraklea adventure one evening in London before then. I reckon we could get through it in 3 hours or so. Thoughts?
Re: Storyguide 'slots'
I don't envision needing more than a standard length slot. If Nick and Mike would prefer not to play grogs on the adventure then we can look at it but otherwise I'd run it on the session as usual.
Re: Storyguide 'slots'
I really enjoy playing grogs and companions when magi go off on adventures (you get all the excitement but none of the responsibility) - so unless there's a serious clash, I'd prefer to have Herakula run within session.
Re: Storyguide 'slots'
I'd prefer the chance to play a grog and/or companion on the Heraklea (sp?) jaunt too. I'd rather have a slower rate of play than risk downgrading the importance of everyone playing their grogs.
I need one for the House Verditius meeting in 1199 AD. However, as it will probably take a couple of seasons (at the very least), I'm happy to defer it until the next session but one.
