We have added a few things to the requirements to power and ability upgrades. Be sure and read the details in the most recent update when you request a new power / upgrade.
Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.

Walking into the library, Merciah remains to himself as he walks towards the many books that are held in the school library. Walking around and finding a book that is supposed to be good for people learning English as something other then there first language.
Taking the book with him to one of the many open and unused tables, Merciah takes a seat and begins going through the book, trying to find where he thinks he might be best starting.

Kip knows he wouldn't normally go into the library but since his classes had started he figured, why not stop in and look for some book he would need this year if they were not already checked out. He turned and saw Merciah his roomate at a table. Books can wait he thought. He hadnt hung out with Merciah in awhile why not do it now.
Kip walked over to the table and let his backpack fall down behind him. "Hey Merciah, Sorry to interupt but havent talked to you in awhile. Whatcha doing?" Kip asked looking at merciah book he was looking at but not sure what it was for. Kip had just came from one of his classes so he didnt have his normal little companion he went around with.

Looking up as his roommate approaches, Merciah almost smiles. Perhaps now that classes are in session, Kip will be around more often, and him and his roommate might actually get to know each other as friends. As Kip asks what it is he id doing, begining with an apology, Merciah completely disregards any need for apology. "Don't worry, you aren't interrupting anything. Perhaps I would do better to speak to someone then read about what I am trying to do in a book." Merciah begins.
"I am trying to increase how well I speak English, as I am sure you remember when I first came here, I could barely speak the language. Though, more importantly, how have you been Kip? I haven't seen you around in a while, Perhaps I have spent to much time around the edges of campus."

Kip nodded and went along with what Merciah was saying, "Sure, I will help anyway I can." Kip paused as Merciah brought up the questions about where he had been. Kip took a deep breath and stretched and looked up. Thinking, what have I been up to latly?
"Well I haven't done very much. Just relaxing and trying to entertain myself." Kip looked back to Merciah. " I haven't hung out with anyone latly really. This is one of the first days I've not had Ted by my side. I would have taken him to class but I asked the school and they said no." Kip looked at his feet then back up.

Closing the book that sits infront of him, Merciah listens as Kip talks, and as he speaks of Ted, Merciah becomes curious as to where it is that Kip leaves teh penguin while they are in class. In such, he voices his curiousity. "Kip, where do you keep Ted while you are in class? Do you leave him in the dorm, as I am not sure how well he could be left alone in teh room?" Merciah asks, not sure exactly how one would take care of a pet, never having one himself.

Kip blinked. "He is in the dorm why?" Then hearing the rest of Merciah's question. "Ahh he will be fine. I set him up with some T.V. and some food. He knows how to take care of himself pretty well." Kip laughed, "He is easier than having a dog!" Kip smiled. " Merciah, what have you been doing? How was class?" Kip asked as he pulled a warm soda outta his back pack and took a swig then slid it back in his backpack not sure if he was even allowed to do that.

As Kip explains that the penguin will be fine, Merciah takes his word for it, he's had no reason not to trust his roommate ever since he has known him. Then he adds that he is easier to care for then a dog, still unsure, as he has never had a pet before, Merciah once again takes his roommates word for what it is worth. "I have never had a pet before so I wouldn't actually know, for a dog or a penguin." Merciah admits.
Then looking at his book for a moment, Kip asks Merciah what it is he has been doing lately, and Merciah looks back to his roommate, one fo the few people that he could trust enough to tell exactly what he's been doing.
"For the past few months, I have been camping out a lot in the forest. It seems as though the predators have been getting more confident and attempting to expand there territries, which has resulted in the injury of quite a few students. I have been trying to personally deal with the problem."

Kip was surprized that Merciah had never had a pet. "Wow, never even around one." Kip said more to himself. "Not sure what that would be like." Kip said again just out there but aimed at no one. Kip watched Merciah's head sink into the book again then it raised back out as he began to speak of what he had been up to.
The first word Kip heard was camping. His mind just exploded with the thoughts of campings. Kip had kept his ears open though not to be distracted. Then the word predators hit him. "What do you mean predators? What kinda predators?" Kip asked in total confusion. Injurying students he thought. What would be doing something like that. He paused and awaited a response before his mind went overboard with everything.

As kip first is surprised by the fact that Merciah had never had a pet before, Merciah doesn't show any surprise to his reaction. Not that he was expecting it, he just didn't find it to be such an important thing to be surprised about.
Taking another glance at his book, not being destracted by Kip, in a matter of fact, greatfull that someone is there for him to practice the things he finds in the book as he speaks to his roommate.
"Most recently, I was on the trail of a large creature that tends to ambush its prey by burrowing underground much like a..." Merciah hesitates, as he can't remember the word in English. Changing to the other book he has, a Cntonese English dictionary, which as strange as it may seems, being Merciah is caucasian, he uses it for converting words to English from Cantonese, and not the other way around.
"A mole." Merciah finally says, saying the word slowing as though it were his first time, being it actually is. "It burrows underground like a mole, but it is a predator, and by no means is it a rodent." Merciah sasy starting to explain the creature.
"I believe it must weigh atleast one and a half tons. Aswell, it has a thick exoskeleton like armor over its entire body, and is aerodynamic in shape. This creature I had seen a long time ago in passing in the deeper parts of the forest."
"Just the other night, I encountered one almost near the edge of the meadow and the forest. I was able to with the help of another student lead it back into the depths of the forest, but if not, who knows how much havoc it would have caused. This is just the most recent of many events that have occured." Merciah says, finishing what he was telling his roommate.

As Merciah spoke of the 'mole' like creature his eyes widened and shrunk. "Wow, that big?" Kip muttered as Merciah kept going. Kip face wasn't only in shock, but it had a slight smile in the background. He thought this was amazing he hadn't heard of so much adventure and to have it so close.
Kip had never heard of a creature like one that Merciah described. "Do they have a name for it?" Kip asked curiously. "The library might have some information on it." Kip spoke his thoughts outloud trying to be helpful. Kip twidled his thumbs as he thought.
"How many other students know?" Kip asked his eyes narrowed and began thinking of the danger these were. It wasn't exciting he told himself. It could endanger everyone around him including the school. Then something hit him. "You said you encountered 'one'?" Kip eyes big once again. "So by that you mean there could be or is more than one?"

As kip suggests that the library might have something on teh creature, Merciah conciders that, and agrees quickly, thinking that it would be a good idea to check. Yet there is one problem. "Kip, I am sure the library must have something on it, but, I don't know what the creature is called." Merciah admits.
Looking back into his ESL book Merciah is trying to scrounge his thoughts for how they might figure out what the creature is called while he is barely skimming the book infront of him.

"Well, how will we find out the name?" Kip eyes veered around the room. "Would it be in animal section or something?" He had too be honest, he had not even been in the library for this long. He was totally lost when it came to trying to figure out where anything was in a library. He hadnt even actually began looking his eyes were wide and felt his head spinning. He wanted to help though so he had to focus and try. He blinked a few time and everything went back to normal.

Hearing Kip say that he doesn't know of where to start searching, Merciah tries thinking more and comes up with an idea. "Perhaps we can find books on creatures that are located in forests, and creatures that live in the ground." Merciah says, not being able to remember the English equivalant for the word he wants to say. Grabbing his Cantonese to English dictionary, Merciah scans through it untill he finds what he is looking for.
"We can look in a book for subterranean creatures. As that is what it is. Either forest or subteranean environments." Merciah suggests.

Kip said looking around the library. "Do we have index to look through? Or a librarian? They might know something about the grounds here." Kip said before he had a dumbstruck face. "Do we even have a librarian? I don't recall seeing one here." Kip said looking around for someone he pictured as a sterotypical librarian. Short, older, woman with glasses.
"Or wait what are those people that help out a teacher or the office or in the library." Kip stopped seeming to have his own brain dead moment with english. "I think it starts with a A. Like a helper or something." Kip laughed at his moment of stupidity. "Well I duno how much english I can help you with, It seems I cant even think to talk on my own."

As Merciah listens to Kip try to explain who to ask he remembers that they do have a catolog of the books available in the library. That is how he found the books he had now. Looking up to Kip, Merciah voices his thoughts. "We can check the card catolog, I know there is one because that is how I found the books I am using, though I am not exactly sure how to tell what we are going to be looking for as I don't know the name of the creature we are looking for. Perhaps if like I said before, one of us looks at books containing forest creatures, and the other looks at books containing subteranean creatures we will find what we are looking for." Merciah suggests.

Kip smiles and nods. "Sure, That would work. And if we each took a book and compared the creatures in them. We might be able to come up with a list of what the possibilities of the creature could be. " Kip said as he began walking a random direction before stopping and turning around remembering an important fact.
He stoped back at the table and looked at Merciah. "Um Well I don't know where the catalog is. Or anything for that matter is." Kip said with a smile and a hand rubbing the back of his head. Laughing at himself inside his head.

(OOC: Sorry for taking so long to post. I've been kinda trying to slow down on my posting the past few days, but I hadn't meant to forget this one.)
As Kip walks away to go to the card catalog. Merciah gets up and starts walking the same way. As by chance, he just happened to be walking in the correct direction. "It should be right over here." Merciah informs him as he moves past him so that Kip could follow. Walking through the large library, the catolog is sitting next to the wall just next to the counter for checking out books. Begining to look through it, Merciah starts looking for his topic while Kip looks for the other.

Kip was going the right way in the first place. His instincts seemed to lead him the right direction in the first place. He felt smart for some reason. Kip looked from left to right and right to left. He followed Merciah as they approched the catalog. Merciah took his side of it and Kip took his, they both were searching for books that may contain the creature, they were looking for. Kip was being rather slow reading each card fully before moving on. Not skimming like he should have.

If Kip looks over at Merciah as he goes through the catalog he sees that Merciah is moving as slow as him. Not being a regular person to go through these kinds of things, Merciah checks all the information on the cards aswell.
After they have both been going through the catalog for approximately 15 minutes Merciah looks over and sees Kip has gotten about as far into the catalog as he has. Both of them having not made any progress.
"Perhaps we can ask teh librarian." Merciah suggests, seeing that it would take the two of them forever to get through the catolog.

Kip looked from Merciah to himself as they went through the catalog. Kip tried to keep track of his place but kept ending up with a confused face as he always seemed to start at the front of the card catalog. It seemed he couldn't keep track at all. Then turning to Merciah as Merciah turned to him. Merciah asked Kip about the librarian. "Indeed, We shall."
Kip raised his eye brow. "Wow, just reading index cards from the catalog has seemed to improve my intellect." Kip said as a joke. "I should read more often." Kip smiled and regained his composure. "So shall we find the librarian?" Kip said looking around to see if he spotted anyone that looked like they could be the librarian.

Walking with Kip away from the card catalog. Merciah hears his roommates joke. It is one that would bring a smile to his face from humor, but Merciah holds it back. No, now wouldn't be an appropriate time to do such a thing in his own veiw of things, so he continues on, apparently unfased by Kip's joke. Luckily his roommate knows him well enough to know that that is just Merciah. He's not being insulting, he's just being himself.
"I believe that might be someone who could help us out." Merciah says, motioning to the girl behind the desk for checking out library books. She isn't the librarian, but she appears like someone who could help them out.
