Talk to Me 6/?

-Part Six-
A week had passed and still no interaction between Jason and Elizabeth. Even though they wanted nothing but each other, they seemed to have avoided one another at all costs. So here it was Friday night and Jake’s had temporarily been closed for a private party. At least that’s what the sign on the door had said.
Jason arrived at Jake’s and parked his motorcycle in his parking space out back. He had no idea that the establishment had been closed. So he used his key to the back door, knowing that Jake always kept the back locked. He walked in and peeked into Jake’s office when he didn’t hear any noise, “Jake?”
He received no answer so he walked into the bar. No one was there. Dead. How the hell could Jake's not be packed? It was Friday night. With not one more minute to contemplate what was going on the front door opened. “Elizabeth…”
She froze. There stood before her the love of her life. Her breath caught in her throat, “Jason.”
“What are you doing here?” Jason asked.
“Uhh, Jake said that there was a private party here tonight for Emily and…” she didn’t have time to finish her sentence before they heard a huge bang from outside the door. “What was that?”
“I don’t know. I’ll check it out,” as he motioned for her to move to the middle of the bar. Jason tried to get out the door. “I can’t open the door. We’re stuck.”
***
Johnny, Sonny, and Max had just pushed the dumpster against the back door, as Carly and Jake dead bolted the front door. “Well that ought to hold them for a little while,” Emily said.
The guys came from around back, “Well how about some dinner ladies, my treat.” Sonny smiled so proud of himself for the good deed he just did.
“Sounds good to me,” Emily said as her stomach growled.

“What do you mean we’re stuck?” Elizabeth asked.
“I mean we’re stuck. The door is locked.”
“How about the back door?”
“What can’t wait to get away from me? Did I really hurt you that bad? Oh wait I did, after all you said good-bye.” It took all Jason had to mutter those words and he immediately regretted saying them. It hurt him more than the effect it had on her.
“No…” she mumbled.
“What?”
“No I don’t want to be away from you,” she said looking down at the floor.
“But—but you said good-bye,” Jason stated as his eyes began to gloss over.
“Did you ever wonder why I wrote it in a note?” she asked finally looking up at him.
“No. But why did you?”
“Because,” she let her tears fall, “because I could never tell you to your face. I knew you’d know that I didn’t mean it.”
“I can always tell when you are pretending.”
“I know. It just hurt Jason that you let me worry so much. I was so afraid for you. We had finally admitted that we’d try and then nothing.”
“I’m sorry. I just knew if I stayed away, I wouldn’t have to lie to you. The funny thing is though that if I would have come home to you, I would have told you everything.”
Elizabeth didn’t know how to respond to that, all this time she thought that he didn’t trust her. She always knew that wasn’t the case, after all look at how many times he came to town to hide out with her. He trusted her then, and he trusted her now. “Jason…I’m sorry.”
He stared at her and made his way closer, “Well now that we both know that we’re sorry, what now? What do you want?”
“I want you. God don’t you know how much I love you,” she said as the tears fell faster.
Jason immediately enveloped her in his arms. “I love you too, baby. I always have and I always will.”
They stood like that for what seemed like ever. Slowly Elizabeth pulled back and looked into Jason’s bright blue eyes and she saw the tears falling. She knew he wasn’t lying. Jason slowly lowered his head, his mouth just inches away from hers. Finally after three long years so holding their emotions at bay they were let loose. As soon as their lips touched a spark ignited deep in their bellies. Jason sucked on her bottom lip trying to penetrate into the deep cavern of her mouth. Elizabeth moaned and that was Jason’s chance. He plunged his tongue inside of her mouth eliciting a purr from deep within. Their tongue’s dueled for what seemed like forever. But oxygen became a factor too soon.
They were both breathing heavily, “I…never thought it could…be like that.”
“It will always be like that. Elizabeth, you are the other half of me.” He kissed her again, “I don’t want to ever let you go again.”
“Don’t worry I’m not walking away again.”
“So by the looks of things this place is ours so you want to play a game?” he asked not rushing the subject of getting her upstairs. They still had to work some things out.
“I’m game but I’m a little out of practice…you may have to help me.” She just wanted his arms around her again. She wanted to race upstairs and make love to him but she knew they weren’t ready yet.
They walked over to their pool table to see a note placed on it.
Jason and Elizabeth,
Sorry to have locked you in but you didn’t give us any other choice. We wanted you to come back to where it all began. Jake’s holds a special place in both of your hearts and we thought that this would be the perfect place to start. So enjoy the game of pool. When you are done the doors will be unlocked and you can go to your next destination; Vista Point. There you will find another note with instructions. Enjoy.
Love,
Jake
P.S. Your pool table is officially yours now. I had your names engraved on the side. And it will be permanently reserved for you two only.
“Jake is so sweet,” Elizabeth said as she ran her hand over the engravement.
“Yes she is but did you catch the us and the we? I have a feeling I know who else may be involved,” Jason said as a small smile spread across his face.
“Right now I don’t care. Let’s get this game started so we can go to the next destination.”
“Anxious are we?”
“Yes especially when it means that I get to relive the greatest moments of my life.”
Reality is for people who lack imagination.
