We have added a few things to the requirements to power and ability upgrades. Be sure and read the details in the most recent update when you request a new power / upgrade.
Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.

Rayd was in a bad mood. He was pissed off about the fact that his curse was back as well the fact that his day had just been goin further down the shitter ever minute. He had walked into the auditorium, his ESP Armor Custom slung over his shoulder. He quickly plugged it in and made sure it was tuned right. His band wasn't here at the moment, but he had a recording of a song they had recorded without him earlier and all it needed now was the Rayd touch.
He waited for the song to start up. He had previously gone over the lyrics and had them memorised. Now all it needed was a guitar part from Rayd. The good thing was, Rayd always played good when he was pissed off. He stepped up to the mic to begin singing, the anger ready to be let out.

Rayd didn't care who heard, it felt good to let it all out, and it was pretty loud. He wouldn't be surprised if the whole school heard it. But this song had a bit of a hidden message in it, which meant a lot to Rayd mainly, though he wouldn't be surprised if there were others who felt the same pain.

Her hand barely touched the door when the song started, echoing from the inside of the auditorium. Amber had been so sure that it would be silent that she had taken a couple of her manga books to read there. Sakura had given her an Othello, a Death Note was next in line, and School Rumble after that (what a combination).
And so she listened, her forehead resting against the door. Should she just go inside? Would it be an intrusion?

Right about there, she opened the door with care. Not too much sound to disturb the music. Amber recognized the young man singing into the mic. She could've waved, but she wanted to hear the rest of the song. The winged girl only took it upon herself to sit and watch.
Such a sad song...
And once it was over, there was the lone echoing clap of her hands. Not bad, not bad...

As soon as the music stopped, clapping was heard, echoing throughout the relatively empty Audtitorium. Immediately Rayd's attention turned to the one who had clapped and as he recognised her face, he smiled.
"Hey. Glad you could make it... As you can see it's a sell-out!"
Rayd grinned as he turned and sat his guitar down on a stand which, in a white flash had just been teleported there by Rayd. Rayd jumped off the stage and approched Amber, his trademark grin still on his face, hiding the mood he was really in.
"How have ya been? No problems I hope?"
He removed his sunglasses, his normal eyes appearing as he used his powers to look around the auditorium for anybody else whomay be present. When he has finished, his eyes turn back to their lifeless white color and Rayd convers them with his sunglasses once again.

He looked around for her, she noticed. Being that he said nothing and his sunglasses too their rightful place, Amber assumed that there was no other soul with them and relaxed.
"Aside from lack of sleep...it's actually been pretty quiet." Easy to understand, the bracelet was still on her wrist hidden by her sleeve. No contact, no problems, no pain. She slipped off a heart-shaped backpack, black and lace of course, and opened it, pulling out a small pink thermos.
"You have talent Rayd...I hard your song from outside, so I came in. Don't know why...kind of like hitsuzen. Green tea?"

Rayd shrugged as he heard the offer of green tea. While he came from Australia, a failry multicultrural country and green tea was available there, it wasn't something everybody had tried, Rayd one of them.
"Eh. Why not. Never hurts to try something new.
Surprisingly, Rayd was beginning to feel a little better. It seemed that maybe this mood was brought on by the fact that he had been alone for the past week, trying to figure out why his curse had returned, and the frustration of finding no answers had really begun to get to him. Either way though, he was glad Amber had heard his music, the company was definately welcome.

"Has a hint of jasmine in it."
She said, pulling out a small cup from her bag. One could only wonder what else she carries in the heart-shaped bag. She poured him some of the green tea, and indeed there was a gentle, flowery scent.
"Gives it a fragrent smell and a very light, sweet taste. Hope you don't mind."
While she poured herself some tea, she answered his question.
"No, no. I'm not musically inclined at all, but I do appreciate good music when I hear it. Music, lyrics...it all gives such wonderful vibrations to the soul. So I just listen."
One sip or two from the little cup and she glances at him with a smile.
"How long have you own soul into your music, Rayd?"

Rayd thought for a while, a puzzled look appearing on his face once he had finished. He took a sip of the tea that had just been handed to him. It wasn't bad, he wasn't a tea kinda guy, but he did like this stuff.
"It's been a long time. Don't know how long exactly. I did a lot of Blues back then and I practiced a lot, mainly because my parents never had time for me so I pretty much had nothing else to do."
He stopped, took another sip of his tea, and then continued.
"After I... After I gained my powers, My personality began to change. You see, believe it or not, I was the nerdy kid at school. Ahead of the class, straight A's, No friends, always bullied. But after I gained my powers, my personality changed, for better or worse, i'm still not sure... But there was a lot of anger."
He took another sip from the cup in his hand, thinking about his little story.
"So after that, I began to get into Metal, Thrash, to be precise. It helps me vent out a lot of my anger, I guess."
Rayd was intentially trying to leave out the bit about being on the run from the law after killing those kids. He figured that might scare her off or something.

The winged girl listened of course, while music wasn't her forte, listening to others was. His story did strike curious cords with her; his parents never had time for him? How terrible. Bullied? She's never know it, but that was the magic of time.
"How odd...You never struck me as a 'nerdy type'.That's quite a change." A little sip now.
"At least you have an outlet for your anger, where it becomes lyrics for a song instead of someone's broken ribs, ne? Better than a lot of terrible things."
She knew the feeling too well, her nightmares stemmed from such things. Amber had her own strange outlets however...
"If it's all right to ask...may I ask about the song I just heard? Is everything all right?"

Rayd grinned and shook his head.
"I am a little annoyed, I've been having some... Problems. Keeps me awake at night. So I am a little angry, I guess thats why their was a little anger in the song. As for the actual meaning... Well, lets say i'm not exactly the person everybody thinks I am."
Rayd paused for a second and took a sip of the tea that Amber had just given him.
"A relationship, of course. Probably one of the only real relationships i've ever had. I was 13, which is pretty young to have such a full on relationship I guess, and this was before I found my powers. As I said, I wan't very popular back then, but this girl understood me, you know? I dunno if it was because she could relate to me or not, but it didn't really matter."
He paused once again and took another sip of the tea.
"Then, I got my powers...."
Rayd paused, and this time he didn't take another sip of the tea, he just sighed.
"My powers were brought on by rage, a rage, in which I killed eight boys who had pretty much been beating me up my whole life. After that, I was on the run, it was on the news and everything. The first person I went to was her and she hated me for what I had done, and after seeing my eyes, thought I was a freak... I lost everything that day."
Rayd finished off the tea that was in the cup. It would be hard to tell how Rayd was feeling right now, he wasn't one to show it through his facial expressions but the feeling was definately there.
"But I guess sometimes you just have to forget everything and start over... Which was what I did... I staged my own death and came here."
Rayd was surprised at how much he had just revealed to Amber, it wasn't often that he told this story, and he had never told anybody about the girl, it wasn't something he liked to think about, let alone talk about. Rayd forced a grin as he looked up to Amber.

No visible reaction crossed her face the mention of death at the hands of rage. Amber's eyes passed between the tea in her cup and his words. The "angel" was not what she seemed either, so all she could do for Rayd was feel sympathy.
Two monsters in the same auditorium, one with a passion in his music, the other hidden in black and lace...
"I can see why you would feel that way...that's unfortunate. However, you found a way to take that and let it flow into your music. Things happen for a reason, whether good or bad, painful or pleasent."
A napkin in her bag would dry her cup and she held out her hand to take his. A hopeful smile crossed her face.

IC: Rayd shrugged his shoulders, he had never really thought about the answer to that question, probably because it had never been asked
"As good as they can be I guess. I mean, there are still times when I feel like my rage is going to win, and I think it's just pure luck, more than my strength that holds me back..."
He paused and waited a while, he had never really thought about that, and now that he had thought about it, and spoken about it, he knew it was true.
"Then again, anger can be a good thing, if you can learn to control it. I used to fight a lot, not so much now, but back when I was strapped for cash, as well as playing guitar on the streets, I would fight and earn some money. I found that anger was the best thing to keep me going... eh... I dunno, maybe i'm just crazy."
He laughed as he ran his fingers through his hair, going over what he had just said. There definately was some truth to it, even if nobody else saw it.

Amber only gave him a small smile. She would have to accept that answer as a yes, even to have things "better" than before was relative to different people.
"Emotions are always things that can double-edged swords. People seem to find ways to make their emotions work for them. Doesn't seem crazy to me."
But intent is important too...
And then something changed; she bowed her head, looking at the sleeve that concealed her crystalline companion. The things she had done...Rayd killed the ones that had been hurting him, so was it "right"? Was it supposed to happen?
"Rayd, those boys...the ones you killed..." She said, her eyes still staring down at her wrist. "How do you feel about that?"
