terry wogan was really really really doin my head in! them annoying sarcastic comments pissed me off, i ended up switchin it over and watchin it on RTE.
every year he has the same comments about how many points will ireland give the uk.
he also refers to himself and the uk as "we" someone should remind him that he's irish! so if you guys in the uk are getting as annoyed with him as much as i am, we can drown him in the irish sea so he's between both countries.
by the way, you deserved alot more points than what yous got

There's only two reasons to watch Eurovision nowadays, the hilarious non-political voting and Terry Wogan, he makes the three hours of hell not quite so bad. That level of sarcasm requires years of fine-tuning!

I agree it wouldnt be the same without Tel but he does get on your nerves sometimes. I wish there was an interactive option to mute him.
He talked all the way through the reshowing of the winning entry.

I tend to agree with pepermai - I sat through the entire thing, and Terry was spot-on sometimes, other times he was just intrusive or irritating.
I guess that's the nature of live ad-libbing!
But I did agree with his comments on the male host!
Looked, and sounded, like Bela Lugosi the WHOLE way through! LOL!

Wogan even got a name check from the hosts before the Voting. He really 'enjooys' covering the contest and it would be a sad day when he stands down.

Wogan is a genius. The best bit about 1998 was that the rest of them got his comments as well. He treats the whole thing with the level of seriousness it deserves.

from Wogan's comments on the Radio over the past couple of days I suspect that he's seriously considering giving up - Unfortunately. I sincerely hope that it isn't the case, but I fear that we might have to face up to Eurovision sans Tel, if not next year very soon after.

Wogan - commentates for the UK, Australia (there was hell to pay when he was substituted with an Aussie a couple of years ago) and internationally on BBC Prime.

Terry is God!!! He makes Eurovision - and like you say, if you don't like it, watch it on another channel. There was no Terry on BBC3. For devoted Terry fans, you can hear him on my website!!! www.daveyg.co.uk
