Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.
We have a guest book. Take a look. If you haven't taken a look yet, be sure and do so. ^_^

The Aftermath
Vash had been sitting there for hours. How serious had her injuries been? It was impossible for the dunpeal to tell, but he knew something was wrong. Miss. Hanabishi never had to work this long on a patient. He cursed himself once more as he sat in wait as he had been.
"This is all my fault. If I had only been there. If I had only been able to keep my promise..." he muttered.
He felt a great burden on him now. He would have to tell Ms. Ramius. It was the right thing to do! Vash still hesitated, though, as he had failed to keep his promise to her. He could only imagine what kind of trouble Amber's mother would bring when he told her what had happened. It would definately be a whirlwind Manga High had never seen before. Muddling over this, the hunter decided to call in a few minutes. Maybe he would be able to visit Amber then.
Vash then got out of his seat and started to pace. The aid had been watching him periodically. Devotion. It was most likely the thought that struck the aid most as he watched Vash. He had been there most of the nigth and didn't seem the least bit tired. Though Vash did sleep during the day, he would gladly stay however long it took. He had grown attached to his friends, even to the degree to forgo his hunts every so often. The dunpeal then slammed his hands on the aid's desk, needing an answer for the fifth time this hour.
"How long will it be?" he asked, sounding even more edgy than the last time he had asked.

Vash had been in the waiting room for hours ; long enough for word to get around. (As far as Genevieve Vendetta is concerned, at least.) The milk-pale girl has one hand on the door to the waiting room and is half-hidden ; is a creature entirely of halves ; half her face is visible, one liquid, honey-gold eye, and her fingers hide her mouth entirely.
The attendant looks, perhaps, cautiously relieved at the interruption; Miss Hanabishi is the one who handles irate students best.
Re: The Aftermath
Vash had reacted immediately to the sound of another voice. The reaction was no where near positive. The dunpeal spun around on his feet, putting his right hand on the hilt of his sword and drawing one of his pistols with the left one. He then got a good look at the half hidden Genevieve and slowly loosened back up. He was over the edge at this point, his movements instinctive with no immediate second thoughts.
"Genevieve..." he sighed, putting away his weapons.
He then walked over to the girl and opened the door so he could see her fully. He wondered why she was hiding. Maybe it was because he was so uptight at the moment. He had drawn his weapons at the drop of a hat. He then tipped his hat in friendly manner as an apology.
"She has been with the nurse for a few hours now." he said, answering her question.

Re: The Aftermath
Click-clack : the sound of the pistol, with its dead eye. Silence, the sound she makes ; so steady, so still. The dunpeal untenses, and is slow to do it, but when he has, he crosses the room's floor.
Her hand falls from the door as he opens it as smoke falls from a flame ; the door swings open and inward. V stands, straight, feet together, and her hands find the pockets of her black coat ; a creature of stark contrasts, light and shadow, luminous and dark. She's a little rumpled ; her hair, wind-blown ; straying from tedious precision.
It had been her first concious thought for what felt like a long time. The sleep had been dreamless, painless; a sleep that could've mirrored death itself.
What had happened? How did it happen? She was sure it had been a nightmare: a young man beating answers from her without any luck, then an inconcievable blur. She last remembered the twisted person killing that boy, the poor child until the life left him, then turning on he, recruiting her...
Then Vash had saved her from the brink of death, an angel of mercy when she had been so sure that she would've been dead. The girl's dark eyes stared up at the ceiling as if she had seen it for the first time and her body was covered in a blanket. Warm...she instantly thought of her father's presence in that strange sleep. The pain that horrible young man had delivered during her nightmare moments were gone but the images she had seen were not. She could feel the bracelet on her wrist when she tried to move, hidden underneath her sleeve. The mark of the beast was what she nicknamed it just before she had blacked out from the shock.
Where was Vash? Had Sakura been able to escape the dorm or was she dead as well? There were questions she had wanted to ask but she couldn't find her voice just yet, maybe lost in that last scream of pain. The girl rested her eyes again, just for a moment. Vash was close by and so was V...the girl felt the warmth the felt from the presence of friends. Safe here, for now...
Re: The Aftermath
Vash simpyl shrugged at Genevieve's question. He had no clue what exactly had happened. He could still remember the cave clearly. The boy was still lying there, twitching like a mad man. It was a disturbing thought. The table still had Amber's pendulum on it, which peaking Vash's interest. He had completely forgotten about it!
"I simply found her there." Vash finally answered. "She was tied to a chair and had been beaten. I am not sure as to who or what might have done such a thing, especially so close to the school. One thing is for certain, though. Whatever pathetic soul that did this to her will pay dearly for his foolish act of terrorism."
Vash eyes gave a small flash of red after his little speech. He was furious about the attack on his friend and it showed in the worst ways. He was already beginning to crack his knuckles and grit his teeth in anger. He was now bent on tracking down her captor. It was as if his hunt had gained a new demon to chase, though this was a more personal affair.

Re: The Aftermath
While Vash speaks, V folds her arms across her chest and her unfocused gaze (as dark as gold can ever be, so honeyed, so warm) is directed at Vash. While Vash speaks, she places one finger over her lips ; a contemplative pose, and quiet. The unnatural/supernatural sudden gleaming of red in Vash's eyes, causes her to look toward the hallway which leads from the waiting room into the infirmiry. MHS has an extensive infirmiry, and no wonder, with the students who are drawn to its halls.
" ... Yes."
Yes, whoever did this will pay, and pay dear. Yes, whoever did this was foolish; a fool. Yes, she agrees. One thing is certain ; V will find who ever owns the shadow which pools below the feet of the one who injured her friend. And when she does?
V turns her head, and the light strokes the shining in her hair, to ask the aid : "What room is she in ?"
The aid actually gives the number, but, after a hesitant stutter, begins to explain again why Vash and V can't go in and see Amber, she's resting, the nurse was with her, etc. etc.
Re: The Aftermath
Looking at Amber as she begins to stir the nurse has a kind smile on her face. "Sleep well?" She asks Amber cheerfully. "Your friends have been waiting for you for awhile."
Walking out of the room that Amber is in the nurse looks at her two friends. "You two can see her now if you'd like."
Re: The Aftermath
Vash quickly blew past everyone as the nurse said he could see how Amber was doing. He had felt the killer sense of responcibility of the event ever since he had found the girl. Why did this always have to happen to him? Why did his friends have to be involved in his affairs? He was sure this was the work of the twisted demons that had plagued him since his childhood.
The dunpeal then stopped immediately at the door to her room. What should he do? Was she asleep or had she woken up? He wasn't exactly sure, but he took his chances and open the door quietly. Vash quickly slipped into the room before anything could be noticed and left the door slightly ajar for Genevieve. He then looked at the seemingly unconsious Amber and silently pulled up a chair and sat down. She seemed so calm after all that had passed. He had no diea what kind of horrors she had been subjected to, but he was sure she needed her rest. So, the hunter simply sat there, contenmplating his situation and enjoying the peace while it lasted.

Re: The Aftermath
"Thank you," V says, courteously, to the pretty nurse. She lets Vash go ahead of her, for her own reasons, and reasons which aren't hers, but which she would never divulge.
She lingers, straightens her skirt; is slow to follow. When Vash enters the room and leaves the door ajar, V leans against the wall with her hands behind her back; looks down. Her bangs fall; obscure her eyes. Her profile is delicate.
Then, she tilts her head back and focuses on the ceiling. V is in the shadow of the door, except for the places where light skims off a high cheekbone, the side of her forehead, a lock of hair.
"What happened?" she says, so quietly, and with authority, need. "Who did this?"
In many ways, V is more comfortable alone, except for the shadows ; they've always been there for her. And they don't die, exactly.
Amber nodded to the kindly nurse, hearing her voice but not opening her eyes.
It was nothing like sleep, but thoughts shrouded in darkness. The images kept returning, the feeling of pain jolting through her, the look of the captive boy before his life was snatched away from him, the young man's threat. She couldn't tell anyone, and she knew her friends would want to know. She came to a painful conclusion: she would have to lie, if she wanted her friends to be spared of similar pain, or worse. The golden mark of the beast around her wrist, hidden beneath her soft white sleeve would have to be her constant reminder of her promise.
Satisfied with her thoughts, the girl opened her eyes again. Her dark eyes stared up at the same ceiling again for a few moments, making sure that she had not been dreaming again. She had awakened earlier, but she had been sure that peace she felt was a dream. Beneath her hand, she could feel the crystal pendulum beneath her hand, it pulsed calmly. She had been sure that the young man with the demon's smile had taken it from her! Amber turned her head, looking over to Vash first. He was seated close to her, her angel of mercy deep in contemplation. He had worried about her, she heard it when he had rescued her. Her then eyes wandered to the wall, where V was leaning, musing to herself in her own aura of calm.
"Vash...V..." She said, her voice had returned. It sounded so soft, equal to that of a scared child. She would scold herself for it later, she had wanted to sound stronger for them.
Perhaps the young man had taken, but in his glee he had also left it in the cave, which Vash had taken her from. Karrody remains hidden in his own shadows just outside her room. Have snuck in and seen the extent of Amber's injuries while the nurse cared for her. Slipping the pendulum into her grasp while she remained unconscious and the nurse was looking away to not see him disturb Amber which would have given him away Karrody rubs his hands absentmindly where he was burnt from touching the holy item, that he retrieved from the cave.
Knowing that by now whomever else was in that cave would be near impossible to track after the amount of time that has passed Karrody decides that he is going to have to get close to Amber again. Closer even then when he was 'haunting' her if he is to find her tormenter.

Re: The Aftermath
Vash has opportunity to speak before V does, because V is (initially, it would appear) inattentive, and so quiet. As if she was lost in a world that existed behind her eyes, in no reality that all could possibly occupy; the expression is thoughtful; contemplative; reflective.
But, after a little while, Amber's voice does register, and V looks up - and a finger of light glides across her cheekbone and the ridge of her forehead like a caress. Finds a shining in a lock of her hair.
Re: The Aftermath
Vash simply said nothing. His mind was filled with questions to ask, but his voice refused to ask them. He couldn't believe it. He had failed and not for the first time since coming to Manga High. He felt this great sinking feeling in his chest and it felt like he was just going to burst from guilt. Why him!? Trapped within his own thoughts, Vash simply sat there in his brooding silence. The only thing he could manage was a look up at Amber. His eyes were glowing red, though something was different. He was clearly in control of this rage which was even more frightening than usual. Usually he resisted his blood rage, but now it seemed he had embraced it. This whole situation had clearly snapped something inside of him. Now the silence seemed even darker than before.

Re: The Aftermath
She looked from the calm, contemplative V over to Vash, catching the red glow in his eyes. A time ago, she had seen a glow like that and it still managed to make her shiver.
Her hand reached to both her cheeks, the pain that had been there nothing more than a memory. Same with her stomach and everything else where pain had been.
There were only the silent questions from both of her friends lingering in the air. Though they were both silent, she knew they were listening and that was probably the most comforting thought she had. The winged girl drew her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them. Her eyes were misty, fighting back tears as much as she could.
"I never thought..." she started speaking, her voice soft and wavering with every word she spoke. "I never saw it coming. None of that. Someone got in our dorm room and then the dresser jumped out and pinned me down. The air was so heavy and it burned whenever I tried to breathe, then I felt something sharp in my neck. I think I fell asleep and when I woke up, I was somewhere else...and that person had a gun. That person-I don't even know who he was, or what he wanted from me. He just hit me with the gun, kept hitting me and threatening at me. It's all a blur...just blurs. Then he killed that boy. That poor boy..."
By then, she was crying. She remembered the boy's face clearly, sullen and looking at her with such fear and then with a long shock he was dead.
"I couldn't help him at all. I couldn't save that boy...And then after he did that, the last thing I could remember was this long shock. I kept thinking I was just going to die..."
A wise person told her long ago that holding pain up would only hurt more in the end. The winged girl could not speak anymore, allowing herself a long cry.
Re: The Aftermath
Not knowing the reason someone would purposely torture another for no reason, Karrody is angered. As his anger grows while listening to the words that Amber speaks, Karrody finds himself thinking another is challenging his territory. Finding himself seathing Karrody begins to walk away from the scene of Amber crying, not because of her tears, as his heart is cold, though the idea that someone is trying to take his territory in such a way infurriates him. After rounding a corner Karrody decides rather then to use the door he is going to leave from exacty where he is.
Drawing his blades and swinging at the same time, a portion of the wall crumbles silently to the ground as Karrody steps out through the hole he has made in the wall. Not seeing anyone he resumes his hidden walk back towards the cave. There has to be something he could find.

Re: The AftermathObligation.
[Duty] Responsibility.
[Loyalty.]
Genevieve feels them - so sharp a hook, in the marrow of her bones. I never saw it coming; that's what Amber says, and Vash has his own sense of responsibility, and V never made a promise to Amber's mother, but then - such a promise would be beside the point.
I could have heard it coming; that's what Genevieve thinks. If I was there, I would have known somebody was in the room, because their shadow would have spoke to me; I would have known.
"I'm sorry, Amber..."
Somebody was listening; her head lifts (for she had turned, slightly, to the side; V is upset, and it actually shows, because her eyes are troubled), and she looks in the direction Karrody left, although walls separate her gaze from the direction.
Part of the reason V is always, always so serious is because she feels this grave sense of duty.
Responsibility.

Re: The Aftermath
Vash simply stayed silent, reflecting upon her words. He had seen the poor soul who had been killed. He was still disturbed slightly by the body, though mostly because he couldn't do anything. He wuld have liked to give the boy a burial, but he had needed to get Amber to the Ms. Hanabishi. The rage inside him suddenly reached another height. He could feel his fangs elongate to their full length as his eyes were now permanently glowing. His mind was beginning to cloud over, though he didn't care. His mind was bent on one thought and one thought only: revenge!

Yakoutio ran into the room panting heavily, he must have run a long way considering the fitness of the small child.
“I heard Vash had brought Amber and some girl in here” Yakoutio said as he stopped panting almost instantly, “Who did this? Tell me so I can kill them”

Re: The Aftermath
Vash couldn't stand it anymore. He had to leave. All the anger, all the pain, welling up inside of him. He needed to find whoever did this. He also had an idea of where to start. He could feel the need for the hunt coming upon him. Tepes had not been joking when he said he would unleash his fury if Vash didn't follow orders. He would need to take the fight to him, now. Getting up from his seat quite rapidly, Vash didn't say a word as he walked out of the room. His fists where clenched tight, trying to keep his rage from showing in less subtle ways. Now was the time for vengence. As he exited the nurse's office, he drew his blade, getting ready to seek his revenge upon those he hated most.
