Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.
We have a guest book. Take a look. If you haven't taken a look yet, be sure and do so. ^_^

The Basics of Latin. [open]
Akai had not wandered towards the library - he had come with purpose, commitment, conviction -- all that was needed to come and learn a new language. It was early in the morning and he had skipped the morning workout - the librarian who handled the first and early morning preparations had just arrived about the same time Akai had gotten there.
A backpack was draped over one shoulder, a pair of black break-away-wind-breaker-pants ruffle with each step taken towards the front door of the school library, a plain black long sleeved-T was fit to form of his upper torso. Once he passed the door, it was just a simple task of finding a book.
Using the card catalog system was easy and made his search very short. The Basics of Latin. Eyes turned to cast over his shoulders as he looked for a shelf number - found it - then, kept themsevles fixated as he walked over to find the the book itself. "Basic of Angling, Basics of Dog Training, Basics of Horse back riding, Basics of Kite flying, Ha - Basics of Latin" Slender finger tipss trailed along the spine of booke, across gold lettering, black lettering, letting of shapes and sizes till he came across the thick book - that read the Basics of Latin.
The book was hefted up-under arm and the nearest table would soon be occupied - placing it down on the table along with his backpack. Ziiiiiiiip. A note book was produced, along with a pencil as Akai hunkered down for the long haul.
This was going to be a very eye opening experience indeed.Edited by: Makurayami at: 5/10/06 2:26 am
Gabriella had been living in the library recently, looking up things that would aid her in her recipes and browsing the internet for something new to try but today she simply was lounged out in a comfy recliner, her long legs covered in the soft fabric of her sweatpants. Her delicate caramel fingers held an ink pen and moved swiftly over the page in small currled letters, she was writting in her book with furious concentration. He almond shaped azure eyes looked up from her notes, in time to cath a glance of Akia as he walked on the other side of the books searching. Her eyes narrowed into angry slits as she eyed him and she had to beat down the tremble of excitement that rushed through her heart. She liked to hate him. She was infatuated with the very idea of it, all because he had rejected her in the feild. She had actually allowed her walls to grow a whole for someone to look insideand this is what happened.
She looked away from him back into her book, no longer writting in scrawling exotic letters but in rigid words that held little meaning to her. Yes she would delight in hating him for a long, long time.

Re: The Basics of Latin. [open]
The Book - The Basics of Latin, fingers were running along the length spine, across the top to edge of the corner - then it was pulled open in a slow motion (molasses) to open up to first page. In a controlled action, the hand lifted for another task - pulling back the ebon tendrils, just sligthly. Lightly colored powder blue eyes lowered down and settled on the book.
The note book was pulled closer to edge of table as the sitting position shifted (lean back) to something more comfortable. As eyes moved acrossed words, fingers turned pages and wrote down notes - it was a quick action, seconds pass by and the page turn - the pencil moved at a great speed, his penmanship was a distinct style and more importantly - it was legible. The pistons of his mind were firing on all cylinders as he absorb the information, minutes pass by and he was half way through the book.
Thats when a sudden stop occured -- he lifted his eyes from the book and turned them to look across the room, where Gabriella - she looked lost within whatever work she was doing and thats when Akai took it upon himself to break up the monotonty -- The book was sat down as he turned in to blank page within his note book and scribed something down. tear. The page came out and with a few folds of paper, a jet was formed. Looking back across the expanse of the room, he watched her and with an effortless motion, the paper jet soared across the room, high, high, high. It looped once and spirled down to land infront of her notebook.
Re: The Basics of Latin. [open]
She sat there a moment, crossing her long legs under the table, the soft fabric gliding over her legs. She was simply staring at the airplane, hard azure eyes focused so closely on the object. The first impulse that flashed across her mind in a blaze of course anger was to burn it and pour the charred remains into the trash can by the door, or maybe back into his lap but her own curious nature wouldn't simply allow her to batter the winged model before atleast glancing inside for a hidden message. She still hadn't touched the lined paper plane infront of her, whlie she sat there tossing about her choices, thinking it over. She knew it was from him, who else would be so coy to her but him?
She snorted lightly, a boastful sound that she was sure he had heard. She placed the pen down on the paper and scooped up the paper in her hands, unfolding it with achingly slow movements. Surely he had nothing to say to her. Surely.

The paper was unfolded by her delicate fingers, as she deconstructed the origami formed jet back into nothing but an ordinary peice to search for a hidden message, she found what she was looking for. The words etched in his distinct script of hand writing said only two things. Look left It was oppoesite direction of him. . .
In a test of his own physical speed, when she started to deconstruct the paper his belongings were gathered and Akai dashed acrossed the room at his top speed to take a seat next to Gabriella. Non-chalant was the attitude giving off from him, feet were propped up with a table, while the focus was on maintained on reading the book again while making sure to remain leaned back in the chair.
Re: The Basics of Latin. [open]
She sneered at the paper, her eyes rolling slightly. This was what he had sent her? A note to tell her to look the other way? How basic was that, atleast now she could tell he was up to something. She was no fool and she certainly refused to be his. She huffed exasperated already by this little mind game, before she did as the simple note told her to do. She looked to the left, feeling a breeze caress the back of her neck. Her eyes moved around the room to catch if any of the other students had cought the soft wind but no one looked up to meet her stone gaze. She Just knew if she turned around that he would be there, trying hard to look innocent eventhough she had seen him sitting a good distance only seconds ago. She turned around again and got just what she assumed she would. There he was sitting next to her reclined in his chair and reading. One day, he was going to have to GO! She stared at him, rouge lips pursed forward in a skeptical frown.
"What?" She said dryly, closing the recipe book infront of her. He already knew too much about her, all of her personalities had been displayed too soon for her own comfort but that wasnt going to happen again. EVER. In her peach bag was that same floppy eard bunny hat that her family sent her a couple weeks ago.

Her tone was controlled, constricted, so dry. Whatever spite she harbor towards him goes undected, or ignored - she'll be be the judge of that. His eyes lifted from the book -- in profile, she sees nothing but his hair and lips poised and ready for a smile, but no, a smile was never formed on those lips as those pale eyes turned to her - watching her, half through the veil, half not.
"Nothing. . ." He matched that dry tone with his own -- it was almost a meloncoly sound that was produced. Those azure eyes, that deep midnight blue meets his own - an intense gaze is shared, enough voltage to light up Times Square is shared, her unrelenting hatred for him has grown at a steady pace ever since he got into her head, on that cold winter's day by the lake side. An unspoken chemistry exsisted, he could feel it -- and thats why he refused her, he didn't want to give in to her so easily.
It was only the first chapter in their book, with many, many more to come. And this was chapter two.
Re: The Basics of Latin. [open]
She peered through the inky black mask that matched her own, the curls of her tress falling forward as she watched him. She shared that moment with him, that moment again where his peircing glacial gaze held her in place, a glance that held her too long. After a some time she realized that she was staring at him and her sweet sapphire eyes dashed back to the book under her tanned hands. She wanted to grip the book in her delicate hands and furiously swing at him but she knew he was too fast for her. She was sure that by the time the lifted the book from the table he would have snatched it clean from her grip, so she sat there, hands folded across one another, mearly breathing. Controlling the millions of thoughts about how to break whatever thing had grown between them.
She shifted uncomfortably in her chair, adjusting her crossed legs and recrossing them. Fine. If he wanted to sit there it was a free world but she refused to let him have such an impact on her activites. She opened her composition note book and took the pin in her hands, with a quick re-read she started writing again.

Those pale powder blue eyes never turned to look at her again fully, though in periphereal he could see those finely shaped long legs press against the soft cotton of sweatpants when one crossed over the other. Her pen scribbled at a frenetic pace after her quick little reread, refocus, and acceptance of his being so close to her.
He scribbled down a few things as well, that ever bandaged hand writing down notes and turning page after page, even faster than her. She wanted to hate him, she enjoyed hating him, she indulged in hating him, yet she didn't move. Unknown intent to harm is just that to him, unknown. Thus-- "How have you been, Gabriella"
Concentration was never broken, he was good at multitasking.
Re: The Basics of Latin. [open]
She didnt even glance over to him, simply knowing he was there was enough to irk her nerves. She sighed mildly, it was actually obvious, to her atleast, that he knew just how to pluck away at her anger. I mean really, what else would he possibly want from her. She continued writing, those sprawling letters now tight curls of course anger.
"Im still breathing obviously, but I do not see how that is of any concern to you, Akia."
She stated the comment as simply as possible, only pronouncing his name at the end. She batted at a loose raven ringlet, knocking the hair back without much thought.

The attitude she was giving off caused him to slow down - those eyes lifted up from the book, watching her - narrowing down. A brow lifted up, a hand moves to brush back the curtain of hair - revealing more of his face, a few strands tucked behind an ear, a few not. His tongue parted less than moist lips to retify that situation, or maybe it was else. A memory called upon from when they first met, the warmth of her silky lips pressed to his own, a recollection that he doesn't mind calling upon.
"It is good to see those lungs still draw in breath; and I'm not concerned, just mildy curious" There were only two people at this school who Akai is concerned for and she ain't either one of them. There was something about her though that made him want to be concerned for her, then she opened her mouth.
She nodded in response to his statement, her pen still moving across the page. She sat there a moment her mind moving the pen, but all so absently. She was looking at him out of the corner of her eyes, those indigo pools seeing only bits of his face because of his shaggy veil of hair. Sitting next to him was strange to her but at the same time it was something she didnt mind. How can one thing be something else at the sametime? Either she hated him or she didnt, but it wasnt that black and white anymore. It was gray, a dull gray like a rainy days sad sky. She hated gray areas. She always had. Not know not being able to control or know something for fact was what she hated in life. She sighed frustratedly at herself for her inability to fix it all, fix her mind. Her delicate hands slamed the book shut and she turned to him, her legs brushing his, pin still in hand she pointed it at him.
"What is the...the..." She stummbled over her words her irratation obviously not toward him now. "deal with you? I mean, what is your progative?"

Those long slender legs caressed against his own, drew his attention and the natural brow raising response. Indigo hues swallow him whole, while a pin points directly at him. The book he was holding was snapped shut when she turned to face to him, indigo meeting pale powder blue, so cool, calm, a look of self-assurance was always hidden inside the depths of those glacial cold ords.
Reclining in the seat, the comfort level was risen up a notch. Those slender fingers smooth over the surface of the the massive book, tips of flesh and bandage bound alike round the edges, dance along the spine in a quick rythmic tap, then a grip to pull the book away and place it on the ground.
"What's my deal?" There was a pause, bandaged fingers run the stern jawline until they cupped the chin. "I don't have a perogative, I just do what I want, when I want to--" Another pause for thought, let those words sink in. He shifted his body weight, their legs brush against one another again and with an indrawn breath. "--why?"
Re: The Basics of Latin. [open]
She continued to look at him, stared is actually the right word for it, a look wouldnt have held such untapped feelings that always seemed to surface when she heard his careless attitude resonate in his words. Her breath was even, the rise and fall of her chest as natural as his now tipped chair. She realized she was staring and she blinked away that lingering look. Was he serious?!? She removed the pen from its pointed place at him and placed it on the table calmly. He was getting the best of her again, his collected exterior always threw her off, atleast it had the mear two times she had ran into him. She wasnt used to that type of thing, she was the calm one of her family, her cynical remarks and icy nature contrasted Grace's burning passion of life in gerenal and both balanced by Gloria's easyness. He was something that forced her out of her comfort zone. Out of her place of refuge.
"No reason at all. I cant ask you a question Akia?" She said with an airy attitude, trying to hip-check whatever thing they shared. Delicate caramel hands raised to her ponytail, smoothing out any loose strands and adjusting tight black curls that sprung back into place like coils when she moved one.

The brow, she knew the one - raised up as he looked her. Where she didn't smile, Akai did -- those soft lips had a tongue run across them, bringing mositures to them once again. A knee was drawn up, settled into the sofa cushion side as Akai turned more in his seat to look up on Gabriella.
"So, you ask question. . .get an honest answer, and when you're asked a question in return, you get all. . ." Stop, pause, beat. ". . .fussy about it?" Stop, pause, beat. " What is your deal?" Tables turned.
Fingers moved to lay up under his chin, supporting the weight of his head as he slightly leaned forward in the seat, drawing in closer to her. ". .I mean, what - you got something against me?" Ever present calm.
Re: The Basics of Latin. [open]
A light gasp floated through her parted lips. "I am not being fussy!" She hissed at him in response his words, low sultry voice laced with a crisp shortness that she used for him and him alone. Fussy? Fussy?! She was not being fussy! She was being.....Being....Well that clearly wasnt the point, but fussy was something that she wasnt being.
The thoughts swam about her head as she stared at him in mild shock at the fact that he had completely called her out, almond shaped eyes focusing on his face, remembering the warm tingling that washed over her when she kissed him in the snow.
"Of course I have no problem with you Akia. I ahve no real reason to be, I was mearly saying that you can completely disregaurd my comments."
She scoffed at his words and crossed her tanned arms over her chest, tossing out any thought that she would have a problem with him. Well of course she did, but that wasnt something she would allow him the pleasure of obviously seeing, if he hadnt already and clearly he had.
"And what do you care of what I think of you? hm? You dont seem to care about much at all so why even answer me and my silly little inquires?

That brow, the one that one that was raised -- was still raised, those cold casted eyes settled into the almond shaped beauties, one of the more alluring features, sides that fiesty little mouth of hers. One leg was in drawn, while the other was resting up against the arm of the chair, brushing up against one of those loooooong slender legs.
"You're right, I don't care about much. . .but you're one of those people, I could learn to care about." A shrug of shoulders, words sounded. . .sincere, for the most part. The reason he came to the library was completely thrown to the way side since caught sight of her from across the room, concentration was broken the moment they made eye contact and never regained.
"I'll never disregard anything you say. . ."Another shrug, those broad set shoulders rolled in that slow, lazy set motion.
Re: The Basics of Latin. [open]
With her full rouge lips parted slightly as she watched him, eyes running past the curtin of his coal colored hair to his eyes, trailing don to his lips as he spoke to her. She had nothing to say, what could she say? That he was filling her head with silly little notions when he had clearly time and time again showed with his actions what he thought. That what she wanted to think, atleast then she would have been able to form a sentence and tell him about it. Atleast then she wouldnt have to think about weather he was honest or jerking her along. She sat there as his words ended and the silence between them began, a silence that she should have gotten used to.
"Ah..."
She managed atleast the sounds before a lite flush covered her cheeks, coloring the smooth flesh of her caramel skin. Her fingers fumbled with her notebook and snatched her bag from off the floor. She had to get out of here, away from him, whatever happened to hating the boy?!
"I've got to go..."
Was all she could distractedly mumble out as she continued to gather her things and go about her day.

Blink once, blink twice, blink yet a third time, watching as she started to gather her things, he leaned back against the cushion of the arm chair, his leg moved when needed, tucking up against the front of the chair, hesitation was slight -- but visible, he didn't know what to do, what to say or how to react to her sudden need to leave - so when the moment was about to more awkward, he spoke.
". . .see you round--" That half smile, half smirk made its way on his lips, so hard to tell if was genuine, sincere, or just plain ol' cocky and he should get slapped like he just made a lewd joke -- So ambigious."--Gabriella"
After straightening himself out in the chair, he tried to regain his composure, his train of thought, refocus and rededicate himself to reason he came here to the library in the first place. To learn the basics of Latin.
