June 1st - June 19th
It's almost summer! The last few weeks of school have come, and students will need to study hard for their final exams! Don't let up yet, or your grades won't be what you want them to. Of course, the weather is almost perfect and pristine, in attempts to lure students away from their studies.
The Law
To give the impression that the rules of the Student Center were not to be taken lightly, the prefects decided it appropriate that the rules be written onto the stone wall in large, red letters where everyone could see them.
The Law
1. Any student who refuses to drop off their wand at the wand check-out will not be allowed to enter. A magical barrier has been set up to specifically disallow students to carry wands into the area.
2. The music is to be kept at the volume it is at. Do not attempt to make it any louder or softer.
3. The Student Center is a neutral ground and no hardcore bickering will be tolerated. We reserve the right to throw out any student(s) who we believe to be disturbing the peaceful atmosphere of the Student Center.
4. Any student who enters the Student Center agitated or overly stressed will be required to take a sip from the cauldron at the door containing Draught of Peace prepared by the Potions Master.
5. There is no restriction as to when the Student Center can be used, except at times when students should not be wandering the corridors anyway. The Student Center will be locked at curfew and while classes are in session, with exception of select periods when sixth and seventh years have off periods. During these times, an automatic age barrier will cast itself on the door, only allowing sixth and seventh years to enter.
Room Description: There is one large fireplace surrounded by beanbags, couches, and armchairs for those who want to just sit back and relax, but there is also a recreation area that is accomodated with pool, fooseball, and ping pong tables as well as empty tables and chairs for those who want to choose from the large selection of board games, both Muggle and Wizard alike. And to sate the constant hunger of the teens occupying the room, two bar areas were set up, one at each end of the room where students can get food and drinks (non-alcoholic, of course). The room is dimly lit with a few large windows that are, for the most part, covered by thick curtains. But to keep the students from getting too rowdy, before entering, all parties are required to drop off their wands at the wand check-out, where they will be held until its over.
