The Price of Greatness...or Being Able to Feed Oneself(open)
Kobita Schnellerton, five foot, eight inches, one hundred and seventy-five pounds. A member of the Schnellerton family that can manipulate sound waves and creat powerful concussive forces with them. Coupled with the cybernetic enhancements and abilties, he has the potential to be a one man assault squad.

The same Kobita Schnellerton however was now face down on the floor as a few annoying and evidently bored patrons walked past him. They had been gracious enough to trip the little five foot eight busboy on their way toward the door. If only they weren't in public. Kobita slowly picked himself up, dusting his annoyingly itchy uniform as he picked up the tray he was carrying.

He was deeply regretting getting a job at this point. People enjoyed walking over those who couldn't fight back and right now it thoroughly got him agitated, especially because under normal circumstances he could fight back. The problem was he needed money. He had cut himself off from the others. He no longer had any fianancial backing whatsoever. This was the best job his resume could get him.

He angrily bent down to pick up the shards of the glass he dropped from being tripped. Metal hands did come quite in handy sometimes.

And Nessa's First Day at Work (Again :p)
Nessa prepared herself for her first day at work, a strange feeling of deja vu coming over her. She had told the owner of the restaurant that she suffered amnesia from the ... accident she had been in, and he had quickly agreed to take her ... back? It had appeared as though she had made a good impression last time she had worked here, and she hoped that she would make just as good of one this time. She slowly dressed, as though for battle ... hadn't this happened one time?

She knew that rumors had spread of her return to the restaurant, and heard the packed murmurs of her greatest enemy she'd meet today... the boys who waited for her out there. All she hoped was that the worst thing that could possibly happen wouldn't... the spilling of a hot liquid on her, something rather often ordered in this restaurant. I'd rather die than be that embaressed, she thought, and the feeling of intense deja vu once more filled her.

She looked down at a rather unfamiliar sight, her breasts raised, her curves emphasized by the tight dress, a weird feeling--she often wore hoodies when she could after school, but nearly never something so ... confining as this dress. The restaurant known as ABC--A Bit of Cuisine had a strict uniform policy, and she checked herself one last time in the mirror, pale heart-shaped face framing deep blue eyes while at the same time being framed by the silvery-white hair that hung to her shoulders.

She gave a little twirl and watched as the dress swirled around her, legs pale legs flashing for a moment under the dress and apron as the skirt parted, then settled once more. Actually, she thought to herself, I look cute in this dress, a radiant smile appearing on her face before she steeled herself once more and walked out of the dressing room to be met by over 50 pairs of lewdly gazing eyes as the boys across the tables looked to see the cute new waitress that had returned to ABC. The place was nearly full, and Nessa got to work.

Her usual clumsiness disappeared quickly as she began taking orders, enjoying the feeling of being able to serve people their meals, watching their happy faces as they got refills before asking for them, had orders taken quickly and precisely ... and tried to ignore the stares of the many perverted boys who had come to see her. On one of her trips back to the cellar to get another bottle of coke from the cellar, she encountered a boy on the floor, and glass all around him. "Are you alright?" she asked politely, and bent down to help him pick up the shards of glass.

Obviously if he didn't need to use a broom, then the shards couldn't have been that sharp. Suddenly one penetrated her fragile skin, and she let out a sharp yelp before dropping it, a bead of red appearing on her finger and quickly put in her mouth as she sucked on it, a slightly pained expression on her face. "Didn't expect them to be that sharp... shall I get a broom?" she asked the boy, looking to make sure the blood had stopped before getting up to look down to see if he wanted her to bring something to sweep the glass up with.

Example of the waitress uniform.

Re: And Nessa's First Day at Work (Again :p)
Kobita's head didn't pop up as he heard the voice. He stayed focused on picking up the glass. It wasn't that he was being rude, he just wanted to get it all picked up before the manager saw it and potentially firing him for "dropping" glass on the floor.

"Yeah, I'm fine" He said quietly. He at least needed to respond a little bit. He then noticed the girl moved to pick up the glass and his head snapped up. "No wait that's..." and the yelp filtered though the air space, "...sharp." He finished, sighing as he picked up the glass she just dropped.

He reached over slowly to tray he was carrying and grabbed on of the clean napkins off it. "Here, wrap this around it." He extended the napkin up to her. "And no, I'm fine. You should know better than to touch glass though." He finished picking up the rest of the pieces and set them down on the tray.

He felt like he recognized her, at least that he should recognize her. He didn't pause to think about it simply because he wanted to pick the glass up and keep his job. However, Kobita had a memory that could challenge a goldfish's. He barely recognized Nessa, and was afraid to say anything for fear of it being mistaken for a poor pick up line.

Re: And Nessa's First Day at Work (Again :p)
“Food food food I’m going to eat food food food I like food.” ^^

Yakoutio was repeating the same chant as he walked down the alleyway towards the restaurant he had constantly gone to for lunch whenever he didn’t feel like eating at the horrible American canteen. He had to remember a few simple rules though, chips were called fries here, mustard was bitter and bland and not spicy and tasty like it should be, and hot dogs were most likely made in a microwave for reasons Yakoutio could not understand. He nodded to himself as he remembered these rules and quickly closed his eyes and smiled as he continued his happy chant, a skip in his step as he swung his arms back and forth, walking into a large object afterwards. Yakoutio would groan and open his eyes to see a man with a large beard and a large brown trench coat on, he had a brown paper bag in one hand with a bottle of some form of alcohol in it and, and this was what scared Yakoutio the most, a knife in the other.

“Come on kid I’m not waiting all day ge me ya junk.” He said in a gruff adult voice. Yakoutio stared up at the man and sniffled, he knew he was just an ordinary human and could be beaten down quickly but he was so scared right now. Without thinking he would reach into his pocket and take out his wallet, which the man would grab quickly and push Yakoutio firmly into a wall before running down the alleyway and out of sight. Yakoutio’s eyebrow twitched as he watched where the man had gone, he had let him get away and although his head hurt after hitting the wall the fact that someone would do this to him hurt more than anything. He sniffled, turning around and walking out of the alleyway before coming up to the restaurant and walking inside. He stood still for a few moments, not saying anything at all until finally sniffling, once, twice, then bursting out into tears.

Iiiitttssss noooott faaaaiiiirrrr! He would cry loudly, tears streaming out of his eyes, calling attention to some of the patrons but some simply passed him off as a misbehaving child. Some even began to complain to themselves, mentioning that his mother must not be a very good parent as they tried to continue eating.

"Oh... thanks," replied Nessa, taking the handkerchief and stemming the blood flowing from her finger with it. "So, are you new here as well? It's my first day in. Any tips you could give me, senpai?" she asked the older boy, assuming he was an old hand at serving at the restaurant, and hoping he might give her a tip or two to help her get used to the job faster.

...

Meanwhile, out in the front, the manager had been brought out by one of the waitresses who worked at the place due to a certain boy who was crying his eyes out in the middle of the restaurant, and wouldn't stop. "Could you tell me what's wrong, little boy?" asked the manager kindly. "Have you lost your parents somewhere? Perhaps we can find someone to look for them..." he said, looking around for someone familiar with Yakoutio.
