Ok, one day a week we have to man the phones and help folks. When someone goes on vacation we might get two days. I have spent the week from hell helping every Doctorate wielding, drool cup carrying ingrate I choose to. How can you manipulate the fundamental building blocks of the universe and not be able to go to a freaking URL? How many times do I have to repeat if to you. I want a damn phone with a NFL replay and pencil function, a tape recorder to capture their idiocy, and a popout punching glove/taser gun to Pavlovian train them. Email is not that hard. Surfing the internet is not that hard. Not opening virus files is not that hard. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Bah, you started it, so I have to add to it...
The one guy who brought his computer into the shop I used to work at. I really hate that he got service for FREE. All because the stupid backwards country bumpkin decided he couldn't handle his PC anymore. That it had gotten on his last nerve and deserved the fate of the 11 point Deer rack he has above his mantle.
Yes the guy actually took out his .22 and shot the thing in its side. And a credit to his aim, the bullet went into the aluminum case at the perfect angle and shattered the heat sink on his processor. While the computer did need a new heat sink, the thing actually was still working after replacing the heat sink. Granted this was a few years back, when a 233 MHz was a decent processor to have.
And my Boss, wimp that he ever was, decided not to try the man's nerves and charge him the $65 fee that was charged to anyone who had a computer serviced at the shop.
Man I wish I had taken pictures to prove this story back then.

We had a HP 6L burn out it's main motor because it got jammed with cockroaches and their eggs. We have some buildings with entomology research where no pesticides are allowed.

You think someone with a doctorate not understanding is bad?
I work for IT in a network consulting firm. That means that pretty much everyone that I deal with has a MCSE, CCNA, CCIE or some other initials after their names. As in they should know how all this works, yet amazingly, when I say go to www.thisaddress.com, they ask me what program they should be using to get there. When I say bring up a command prompt, they say what is that...
And these people make twice my salary for not knowing what they're consulting on.

As much as you say your job sucks I have had to deal with to many idiots in your field.
"Hello I turned on my computer and I get the message "Uncompatable boot error" then I get a blue screen and the computer will not respond to anything"
"Okay sir, could you please check to see if your computer is plugged in"
