The War With Iraq
This topic had to be brought up, what with there being roughly 22 hours before the US officially goes to war with Iraq.
So what do you think? Are you for it, or against it? I for one am totally against it. I'm not trying to be unpatriotic or anything, but I think that the Bush Administration has no right to go take out a Saddam Hussien, no matter how much of a "threat" he poses, just because his daddy didn't do it.
And all this got me thinking about how whenever America attemps to change things in the middle east, it just comes back to bite us in the ass. Here are a few examples:
In the 60's, our goverment trained refugees to fight the Russians. we supplied them with CIA training, weapons, food, and money. However when the time came for the refugees to actually confront the russians, we back off and let them get killed. Among these refugees is a man name Osama Bin Laden.
During the Regan administration, we sold tons of tanks, guns and ammo to a "strategic ally," Saddam Hussein.
in the Summer of 2001, the Bush jr. Administration sent 3 Billion dollars of "aid money" to the Taliban.
Now We're going to war against Saddam, Osama is the most wanted man in the US, and the Taliban helped with the 9/11 attacks.
I tell ya, If american diplomacy gets any worse, I just might head up to Canada and pay Dashie an extended visit. (in a strictly metaphorical sense of course)

that's pretty much waht happened from what I saw with our government. The good thing is that our prime minister had enuff sense to stay out of it. Europe.....naw, too far. If there's a war, and it happens to come to my house, I'll fend them off with ma basketballs, baseballs and baseball bats

Well, tonight's the final night. Unless by some miraculous chance, that Hussein takes Bush's 48-Hour warning into consideration and take his sons and his sorry ass out of Iraq within the next few minutes, It'll be all hell and maybe even a World War III. *drops to her knees and cries.*
Believe it or not, though, our school held a poll, and 65% of the students and teachers were FOR a war. That's just sickening.

We've been at war since 10:30 last night and no one bothered to tell ME?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!
We should'nt be at war in the first place. *Grabs a TV, her GameCube, and 30,000 miles of extension cord.*

Damn.....I want to move to Canada now....or somewhere in Montana or Alaska.....They are very remote states and have squat and both states are near Canada. So if america does lose, it's only like a one hour drive to cross the border.
But, that won't happen anytime soon. I live in Florida. Flordia has NASA and a few air bases. That means there's a good chance that I'm screwed......
This is the space where I would try to direct people to read my fiction but the last thing that I put up was in September. It was on Pojo and is now in the land of the deleted. So I have no fiction whatsoever. Isn't that sad?

Wow CHompy ( j/k) you're really slow. THis topic has been dead for 2 months. But the 'war' seems to be doing absoloutely @#%$. I don't even know what's happening in Asia.
(and I wouldn't mind people coming over to live with me as long as they don't mind living in the environment around here now )

Yah. I haven't been paying attention to da news.....I've been too busy watching Batman movies, Gilligan's Island, Classic Batman (Holy Cheesy 60's) and of course- Happy Days!
And this is NOT a war.....this is like.........I dunno.
