The new safehouse contract
Looks pretty ironclad for simply posting tidbits of game info for a larger community to view. Here's a snipit from the contract:
----------------------------------------------------
Payments and Fees: Credit cards that are declined for any reason are subject to a $1.00 declination fee. Service will be interrupted on accounts that reach 10 days past due. Service interrupted for nonpayment is subject to a $200 reconnect charge. Accounts not paid by due date are subject to a $7.95 late fee. Accounts that are not collectable by The Safehouse Network, LLC may be turned over to an outside collection agency for collection. If your account is turned over for collection, you agree to pay the company a "Processing and Collection" Fee of not less than $50 nor more than $150. If you desire to cancel your account, please follow the proper procedure to do this as outlined in this TOS.
Refund and Disputes: All payments to The Safehouse Network, LLC are nonrefundable. This includes the one time setup fee and subsequent charges regardless of usage. All overcharges or billing disputes must be reported within 60 days of the time the dispute occurred. If you dispute a charge to your credit card issuer that, in The Safehouse Network, LLC's sole discretion is a valid charge under the provisions of the TOS and /or AUP, you agree to pay The Safehouse Network, LLC an "Administrative Fee" of not less than $50 and not more than $150.
Failure to Pay: The Company may temporarily deny service or terminate this Agreement upon the failure of Subscriber to pay charges when due. Such termination or denial will not relieve Subscriber of responsibility for the payment of all accrued charges, plus reasonable interest and any collection fees.
Account Cancellation: All requests for canceling accounts must be made via email with at least 30 days notice but not more than 60 days prior notification and sent to to accountclose@thesafehouse.org Attn: Cancellations, or you may call 877-747-6483 (877-SHROGUE). You must have all account information to cancel.

Re: The new safehouse contract
The Safehouse LLC also provides a number of non-message board services, such as web hosting, email access, and merchandise sales.
Edit: there are no plans that i'm aware of, even remote 'we're thinking about it in the abstract' kinda plans, that will involve people being charged for posting on the forums. Unless you plan on purchasing a premium service from the Safehouse LLC, the above posting isn't important to you.
Re: The new safehouse contract
Llabak & Shadowcross beat me to it.
The TOC was placed for all future financial dealings with the Safehouse... our store, Aidden may have some webhosting packages in the works, Admin beer and muffin fund, community chest, etc., and other as yet to be determined means for transactions.
No surprises or conspiracies- just room for future growth. The general Safehouse population will be unaffected.

This has nothing to do with the main Safehouse site's TOS. If that's not clear enough to you, then you're welcome to not register and not post. We certainly won't miss you enough to beg you to register, because at this point, we just don't care about the .0001% of people who cause 99.9% of the headaches.
Re: The new safehouse contract[...]at this point[...]
It took how many years to get to this point?!

Re: The new safehouse contract
Having signed up for the new forums myself, I can assure you that at no point can you (even if you wanted to) give them your credit card number during the registration process. So obviously there would be no way to put a mystery charge on your plastic. There's no point in worrying about it.
Re: The new safehouse contract
Hey admins...no fighting in here...don't make Derrict or Dazzler do an IBTL.
Ok, seriously...I'd be VERY interested in a small amount of webhosting, something to replace Strike9.com. Any REALLY ROUGH estimates (I won't hold a dagger to your spine on it) for something like 10MB and how much throughput would be allowed, that kind of thing?
