The quiet things that no one ever knows (Rose and Dev)
OOC: It dawned on me that I told you both I'd start a thread to rp in, so clearly the only way to resolve that accident is to start a 3 way :)

Truly amazing. No other words can describe the sight looking on to the waterfall. The way the light played in the crisp, clean water and created a primatic color managerie was enough to turn even the coldest heart warm and soft, make even the most serious of people lighten and brighten. The rocky path the falls eroded into place looked like a perfectly formed, planned, and excavated canal. The natural beauty of nature was never dull.

While it's never dull, however, it can always stand to be enhanced a little.

Enter the dominant life form. Human. Male. Dressed to kill and thrill. Darrien walked up a path leading to a view of the falls with the confident swagger only he possessed. Covered in a snow white, linen suit, he left the jacket open to reveal a pale blue dress shirt with the collar pulled over the collar of the jacket. He wore white wing tip shoes, matching silky blue socks beneath them. Ice blue lensed sunglasses covered his eyes, and his multi-colored hair blew freely in the wind.

Looking at the water cascading down the rocks, Darrien was reminded of something. What was he reminded of? That wasn't clear to him at all, but he was certainly intrigued by it. He simply stood their, tossing rocks into the falls, trying to lodge them into the worn down soil and rocks behind the rushing water.

Another young man had entered the area around the waterfall, looking upon it, awestuck as to how nature could produce such beautiful things along with some of the most destructive phenomenon anyone had ever seen. His longish blonde hair flowed freely in the small breeze, showing his forehead without cover. He was wearing a pair of blue jeans along with a bleached white T-shirt, accompanied by white tennis shoes. He took each step carelessly, his feet sliding along the loose rocks along the shore. Devlin wanted to see the view from above, but he hadn't seen any easier way to get up. He reached up with his right hand and wiped his knuckles across his white forehead, his hand becoming a little wet from the salty liquid known as sweat dripping down his face. Taking a pause from his hike, he turn his head and finally noticed the other male looking upon the waterfall.

He hadn't seen this student before. Could this be a good time to make a new friend? What if he's a hostile one? Both of these thoughts crossed his mind, but the former took the lead inside of his head. First, though, Devlin decided he wanted to finish his trek up the hill. Maybe the other person wouldn't leave so soon; but maybe Fragston would never see him again, either. This was a chance Devlin was willing to take.

(OOC: Long enough to start with >_>)

OOC: Like I said before guys, it's been a while since I've done this so it might take me a little while to get back into the groove. I'm having a MAJOR case of writer's block right now so i'll get back to you guys on the post. Please don't wait for me! Maybe I can use something in your posts and play off of it. Tootles!!! ^^

A clear mist lifted from the water as it rushed down into the stream below. Darrien's throwing had tired his arm, and he was about to give up on this talent when it hit him. Not an epiphany or anything, he was literally struck by a returning stone he had thrown initially. That's when he saw it, an anomoly only a place like this could produce.

The pull of the water down to the ground created some sort of a distortion, allowing the air to thin near the top of the cliff, and thicken toward the middle, and thin once more at the bottom. These pockets created a lifting effect, and the falling of the water caused a projectile effect that was sending the stones off their course, and in the latest instance, right back at Darrien.

Readying his next toss, he spun the flat stone in his palm. Staring at his target in the wall behind the rushing water, Darrien fired it like a frisby. Eyes less in tune than his own wouldn't have noticed this accomplishment, but he smiled widely with satisfaction. Behind the falling water, a single stone no bigger than a fifty cent piece was lodged into the rock, a symbol of Darrien's accomplishment.

Twisting on his heels, he felt slightly different than he had when he originally treked up the hill. Something was different, but it wasn't something he could pick out. Perhaps the wind was fading away, or the temperture fell slightly. Either way of it, he kept on his toes.
