Traditional Bowhunting?
Who hear deer hunts using traditional archery equipment? I bowhunt with a compound, but I'de like to buy either a recurve or a longbow and finger shoot. Any suggestions on brand name bows or equipment that you have had success with?

I do, but I couldn't tell ya what my bow is. It's so old, none of the previous owners can remember. It's a takedonw recurve, and I shoot with no aids other than my finger tab.

When doing serious hunting, are take-downs as reliable as far as cracking goes? In wet or dry conditions, and several restringings, does it still stay strong?
