Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.
We have a guest book. Take a look. If you haven't taken a look yet, be sure and do so. ^_^

Tradition...(continued)
Vash quickly turned into a driveway to a particularly nice looking house. It was white, like most of the white picket fenced houses here. The house had a particular flaire, though. It was slightly fancier than the rest, though not enough to make it seem out of place. Vash honked the horn loudly and then exited the car and walked swiftly to the door. Waiting for a couple seconds, Vash waited for the door to open.
Coming out was his mother, who immediately hugged her baby boy tightly. Vash was slightly reluctant infront of his friends, but hugged back softly none the less. It was a side he didn't show often, and was usually forced to show. The two then walked back to the car. The hunter let his mother into the back seat first before getting into the driver's seat once again. He then realised the car would be quite crowded once he had made their last stop. Pulling out of the driveway quickly, Vash looked over at Amber for a fleeting second so she knew he was addressing her.
His mother, she thought to herself. It would be the first time she would see her. When she got into the backseat, she smiled and bowed her head to greet her.
Maybe I should've let her sit in the front...
"Where exactly does your family live again?"
Amber looked ahead of her then pointed down the street. Her mother might be home, there was that possibility but she feared how her mom might react. She had met both Yakoutio and Vash before, but it had not ended on favorable terms. Ria would definetly be home however...
Re: Tradition...(continued)
Vash hit the gas and the car flew down the street. He easily made the turn and waited for Amber's instructions on where to go next. Vash's mother simply looked a little worried as her son drove at such a high speed. She knew in her heart of hearts that he knew what he was doing, but her motherly instinct told her otherwise.
"Vash," she said, "you don't ahve to drive like a pizza delivery boy. We have all night, you know."
"Mother..." Vash grumbled back, not enjoying her nagging.
"I'm just saying, I'd like us all to get there in one piece." she protested.
"I know how to drive, mother." he argued back.
"Don't you take that tone with me! You're still my boy and I will not have you speaking to me that way!" his mother harshly told him.
The hunter simply grumbled under hsi breath as he sank slightly into the seat and slowed down a little. He was still clearly going over the speed limit for a residential area, but it was much better than what he had been doing.
Re: Tradition...(continued)"Where exactly does your family live again?"
Yakoutio sniffed as he wiped away some tears from his eyes, Vash had a mother and so did Amber so why couldn’t he have one? He really wanted someone to call his mother to look after him but he was forced to look after himself all this time, the sight of Vash’s mother had brought back some horrible memories and made him very sad though he tried as hard as he could to keep the tears in, he had to grow up to look after himself, he just had to.
“It’ll be fun… to meet… you’re mum…” Yakoutio sniffed as he wiped some more tears from his eyes.

Amber waited until Vash stopped the car. Number 223, the gold-plated numbers on the white door gleamed even in the dark. She unbuckled her seatbelt and stepped out of the car.
"I'll be back. This will be quick," she said just before she shut the door. She crossed the driveway, glancing once over at her mother's dark blue car. She was home; Amber's stomach turned, wondering what her mother would say. She stepped up to the door and reached out to knock. The door opened and a ball of energy knocked the winged girl down in a huge hug. The ball of energy was a small Japanese girl of 14 years, clad in pajamas and her hair in a ponytail.
"Onee-chan!" Ria said happily."You came to see me!"
"Ria, let me up. My wings-"
The small girl stood up, allowing Amber to get up but she bounced around her, asking a million questions. (Who's car is that? Who are those people? Are they you're friends? Why is the car black? It would look cooler in red!) Amber stretched out her wings and spoke calmly.
"Ria, get dressed. We're going out tonight. Is mom home?"
Just as she had asked, a fit blond woman in a dark blue uniform dashed through the door, slipping on a coat and munching on a sandwich at the same time. Ciana Ramius had barely reached her car wen she had stopped and looked over at her daughter.
"Little wing!" She said, handing the sandwich to Ria for a moment and giving her daughter a hug that rivaled Ria's. "Happy New Years! I'm so sorry honey, I came to grab a lunch for fork and I'm late and - wait what are you doing here at this hour?"
Amber glanced over her shoulder to the black car. Her mother followed her gaze and the expression her face became serious. "Those boys again, I assume?"
"Please mom...they're really not that bad." Amber said softly. "And Vash's mother is with us tonight. She's perfectly nice so everything will be all right. I wanted to bring you and Ria along but..."
Ciana looked up at the black car again, smiled and waved to them. "Happy New Year!" she shouted to them before facing her daughter again. There was a calm look on her face now and she kissed her daughter on the cheek. "All right. You and Ria be careful then. Tell them I'm sorry I couldn't tag along but I have to get back to work."
Ria stepped out of the house, fully dressed in a long black shirt with a with a white cross stitched in the front and a pink plaid skirt with knee high boots. She bounced over to Amber, huggling her arm.
"We'll be fine. Drive safely, mom."
Ciana waved to them, watching the two girls head over to the car. Ria opened the back door and hopped in, greeting Yakoutio, Vash and Vash's mother an energetic "Ogenki desu ka minna-san!" Amber hopped back into the passenger side.
"Mom's gotta get back to work," Amber said, a hint of sadness in her voice. "Ria, this is Vash, his mother and Yakoutio. Behave yourself."
Re: Tradition...(continued)
Yakoutio stared at the older girl in the car with them, he looked up at Amber nervously before looking back at her, he didn’t know what to do around new people but he decided on trying to act nice towards this girl Amber seemed to like.
"Ogenki desu ka minna-san!"
“Ii desu ne” Yakoutio replied nicely, “Konbanwa, Watashi no namae wa Yakoutio desu”.

Re: Tradition...(continued)
Vash watched the conversation, about to get out of the car before seeing Amber mother drive off. He wondered exactly why she had done that. Amber and what seemed to be her adopted sister of some sorts came back t the car and got in. Amber looked very down as she got back in, most likely because her mother couldn't attend. It was this that made Vash decide he was going to go after her mother after all.
The dunpeal didn't even wait for everyone to settle in before putting the pedal to the metal. He car zipped out of the driveway, almost loosing control on the spin to get in the right direction. Vash then made the car bolt forwards going to catch up with Amber's mother. He was doing at least 240 down the residential road, flying past the houses. Everythign was a complete blur, but it was nothing Vash's sense of speed. Even in tonnes of metal, his reaction time at this speed was perfect. The car then blew past the Amber's car and went further up. He then jack-knifed the whole car to a stop and quickly got out. It was only apparent at that point that Vash had stayed perfectly steady without even wearing a seatbelt.
The young dunpeal quickly drew his sword, seeing the car in the distance. The head lights weren't even daunting to his nerve as he took his cross defense stance. He then started to concentrate on Amber's mother. What a vile person, acusing him without even asking why. She was merely another human to believe he was trouble. What if it was his culture? Had she ever thought of that? Americans were so self-centered sometimes that he just wanted to-
As he concentrated on the things he hated about Amber's mother, the shadows slowly started to creep up to his sword. Then all at once, the shadows swarmed his sword. swirling around it like a coiled snake. He then slashed upwards quickly and a large wall of shadows came up from the street. The car then slammed into it, the cushy wall stoppeding it just before hitting Vash. The shadows then dispersed, the car perfectly parked right infront of Vash.
"I believe your daughter wishes that you would come with us, Ms. Ramius." Vash said in his flat voice.
Re: Tradition...(continued)
"Vash! Slow down!" Amber screamed, though she could not remember when she actually said that. She had no idea what just happened but he had bolted before she had a chance to put on her seatbelt. Either he was in a hurry or...
Vash had suddenly stopped the car and got out, carrying his sword. She glanced over at Yakoutio, Ria and Vash's mother, who had all been buckled in all right. She opened the door, and hopped out, wondering what he was doing.
"Vash? What are you...?"
Meanwhile
Ciana Ramius had answered her cell phone just after seeing her daughter and Ria off, greeted only by the shouting of the head of her department.
"I'll be there in 10 minutes sir. Stop shouting, you asked for my help and I had to sacrifice my weekend just for something that may not even happen-eh?"
A black car had sped past by, but she had little time to think of it. It skidded dangerously to a stop in front of her and right in her way. She was sure she as going to crash into it and instead her car stopped. She opened her eyes, staring straight ahead.
Oh god! Did I...?
No, a wall of shadows had stopped her. Ciana sighed, resting her forehead on the steering wheel. Never, not even back in the days she worked for the CIA, had she had felt her heart race as quickly as it had been now.
"I believe your daughter wishes that you would come with us, Ms. Ramius."
"Eh?" She raised her head. The young man, the polite (now frightening) one she had met at Gerry's. The one that had killed those people. Amber had explained why it had to be done, but her nerves had still been rattled that day.
Had he made that strange wall? Ciana fixed her blue eyes on him as she stepped out of her car. She had the overpowering feeling that she was not going to show up back to work tonight. The woman's eyes softened.
"You're little wing's friend." She said gently, as if accepting his-no Amber's request.
Amber had watched, quiet and stunned. What was that all about, she wondered.
Re: Tradition...(continued)
"Are you trying to get us killed!?" Emily yelled at her son.
She looekd as if she had seen her life flash before her eyes. Her face was pale and she could barely stand on her own two feet. Maybe back in her younger days she would have loved that thrill, but now it scared her half to death. Speed was just something she had outgrown. She then saw her son squared off with the two girls' mother. She had no idea what had gone on outside, but it looked as if vash had stopped her car.
Vash simply nodded to the woman at her obvious statement. At least, he thought himself as Amber's friend, and she acted the same way. It was set in stone to him, but for her mother it seemed wavering. He then let those thoughts flutter away and kept his unshaking stature.
"You may not enjoy my company around your daughter, but I intend to stay friends with her. I hope that you can accept my invitation despite that, and maybe broden your views a little." Vash said, smirking a little. "Besides, I am not quite sure if you keep running away how many times I can keep my shadow wall soft enough to stop you comfortably."
Re: Tradition...(continued)
Ciana smiled softly. Her daughter had such an accurate instinct about other people, even if they were a little more than strange. She directed her gaze at her daughter, giving her a reassuring smile before speaking to Vash.
"Little Wing, she's a good judge of character. I trust her judgement about you and the small one, but that does not mean I'm not entitled to worry a little. She had always been so alone. I'm happy that she has made a few friends."
The cellphone rang in her car again and for a moment her eyes carried an almost murderous glare. She kicked her car door shut, silencing the cell phone. Then her pleasent mood returned as if nothing had happened.
"With what happened last time...that was why I was so cautious. I hope you understand that. I had to be...she's all I have." Ciana smirked back at him. The woman had remained calm then entire time she had faced him. But now, she had a solemn expression on her face.
"Please watch her."
"Well, let's go then!" She suddenly said loudly and full of life again, walking towards the dark car, "The night's young and since I'm not driving I'm gonna get smashed!"
Amber blinked at her mother's declaration and then sighed deeply, sinking in the passenger seat. Vash and her mother had been talking but not loud enough for her to understand. Please tell me she's joking...embaressing...
Ria giggled, patting Amber on the head.
Re: Tradition...(continued)
Vash listneed intently to Amber's mother, nodding at the appropriate times. She had every right to question Vash. Everyone had always questioned his motives, but only those who knew him knew that his strange motives were as safe as anything. His confident, cool manner just shone with security, even if he did seem reckless at times. Though, if he wasn't confident about the situation, he always warned those around him.
Please watch her.
Vash nodded once more, though this time he made sure he tipped his hat as well. Sort of an extra motion to confirm he really ment it.
"Do not worry. On my honour as a hunter, I will see to it I do whatever I can to protect her." Vash said.
He then nodded to her agreement for leaving. He quickly withdrew a small item from his coat, twirling it a couple times in his hand. It looked to be a very intriquetly made stake, looking almost like a kunai. The stake has runes carved into it, a message in some language that definately wasn't english. Vash knew, though, it was the secret language of the hunter. He quickly took the small stake and cut through the air, using it like a knife. No one but Vash's mother would have expected anything to happen.
As Vash made his slash something odd happened. A blue streak trailed the wooden stake, opening a rift it would seem. Vash then pocketed the stake and looked at the streak he had created. The hunter then looked back at everyone, as if to usher them in. His mother was first, trusting her son and the rift completely.
"Can I take the car this time?" Vash asked his mother. "To take a drive around town maybe?"
"With the stunt you pulled, you're lucky I let you drive the thing in the first place!" she said, still seeming a little angry.
Emily Hellsinger then walked into the rift and faded away as if she was moving at a blinding speed. The sighed, kicking a pebble in frustration. He then heard something behind him. It was quick, faster then anything he had ever heard or seen. Maybe Merciah was that quick, but it was hard to tell. He then looked behind him to see a man crouched on the ground, bandaged from head to toe. The only thing that was visible of his skin was his right eye, which didn't seem to be attached to anything. It looked as if it had a socket, blinking occuring normally, but the rest of his face was pitch black. His tattered rags were of a faded purple and green, covering his upper body but not his lower. Also, his limbs were very odd. They seemed double jointed, in all places. He looked very much like a man made of black rubber, yet he was clearly living.
"Slink. Excellent!" Vash said, looking at the strange man. "You can attend to Ms. Ramius' needs."
Slink quickly creeped up to her like some sort of demented crab, his knees bending backwards to join his hands in making his way towards her. He then slithered up like a snake behind her, almost wrapping himself around her. Slink then hissed at her, as if to ask what she wanted of him, while Vash simpyl kept his position as doorman by the rift.
Amber joined her mother, a little startled by the slithering man. Ciana was not phased too much by the man; she was sure that if her daughter would remain friends with Vash that she woud have to get used to shadow walls and rifts. Amber lowered her voice.
"Mom...was everything okay?"
"Don't worry. We just had a nice talk," Ciana smirked at her.
Ria had joined them, pulling Yakoutio along behind her. She took one look at the rift and looked up at Amber.
"Onee-chan, do we go in too?"
Amber looked at the rift. Vash's mother hand went inside and vanished, and Vash was waiting at the door. Amber nodded, if his mother went inside without worry then it must be safe. Ria released Yakoutio's hand and took Ciana's, not worrying about the slinking man, then both walked into the rift. Amber walked up to Vash.
"What's in there?" She asked, referring to the strange rift.
Re: Tradition...(continued)
Yakoutio was too shocked for words, he had finished his conversation with the girl but when all this had started he had just stayed still in shock as it all happened, he had even let her drag him along the road which reminded him so much of Amber.
“Hey what the hells going on what the hell is in there why the hell are we going in there and what the hell!???!!” Yakoutio yelled out in panic, “I’m confused!!” Yakoutio panted after yelling out quite a lot before looking up at Vash.
“Just tell me what’s going on please” He begged, “Who is that person? Why are you doing this? This isn’t fun”.

Re: Tradition...(continued)
"Home..." Vash said softly, looking into the distance.
He then shook off the gaze and looked over at Slink. he seemed a little rejected, though his eye was as wide as ever. amber's mother had given him nothing to do. It was just job to do the bidding of others, and he enjoyed it.
"Slink, go off to 'The Dark Crawl' and go knaw on a coupel vampires." Vash instructed, seeing as he had nothing better to do.
Slink nodded happily and crawled off in his awkward fashion, springing up into a tree and fading into the night. Vash then turned to his friends, smirking a little. He wondered why they had hesitated while the others had gone right through. With what they saw ona day to day basis, this should have beena piece of cake for them. Slightly ironic how those adjusted to the norm had been the most adjusted to the unrealistic rift.
"Well, are you two ready yet?" he asked mockingly, smirking even wider in his cocky and wicked way.
Re: Tradition...(continued)
Amber nodded at Vash then turned to Yakoutio. She smiled reassuringly; if both mothers and Ria had entered without too much problem then so should they.
"Don't worry Yakoutio. It's an adventure, remember?"
Amber gently took his hand, walking to the rift. She looked over her shoulder at the young boy. "If you get scared, just hold tight."
Amber walked into the rift, greeted by the strangest sensation. It wasn't painful, the only thing she could think of to rival the feeling was the astral feild.
No...that was a dream...there's no such place to see the entire universe like that...
She kept walking, feeling that there had to be only one path. She could hear Ria's voice in front of her, telling her to hurry and join them.
Re: Tradition...(continued)
ooc: Gyaaaah! I hate these Yakoutio no get to speak posts...
Yakoutio nodded back at Amber before walking forwards after Amber but as they approached the rift he squeezed very tightly as he saw her enter the rift, not enough to hurt her but enough to relive him of some of the tension he felt at that moment, he stepped through after her suddenly being brought through it at amazing speeds like that of his own.

Re: Tradition...(continued)
Vash was the last to enter the rift. As he stepped into the light blue outlined portal, he found himself moving at an increadible pace. Everything wnet by so quickly, almost in an instant. The blur that was the world around him was hard to discern, but he could make out key monuments as he shot past them. England, France, Germany, he watched as each country faded into the distance and he passed through a new one. Finally, it all stopped. He appeared out of the other side of the rift, standing in the back of the group he had brought.
The scene around them was dark and brooding. The sky was a dark grey and black clouds threatened rain overhead. A full moon lit up the village so that everyone could see just what was going on. The small houses that littered the cobble stone streets were delapitated and sad looking. Most looked like they would be the bare minimum for a home, while others were blown right open, sometimes having half the house blasted apart. The streets were littered with rubble and a damp feeling was around their ankles as the mist floated past. The flapping of wings could be ehard everywhere as bats flcoked around in the air like birds. The air held a smell of rot, gun powder and burnt wood and stone as Vash breathed deeply with satisfaction.
"Ahhh..." he exclaimed, exhaling loudly, "it is good to be home."
