Traditions of the Moagarii
The family is the most important social unit in Moagara, although surnames are not in wide use; one is often identified with one's profession or town (Dumas the Potter, Jiia of Dobrug). Honesty and loyalty are vitures among the common and noble folk alike, though chivalry has not been developed. Theft and murder are delt with harshly, and it is not uncommon for individual families to take the law into their own hands if they feel their people have been wronged.
Women fight alongside the men in some communities, particularly those along the frontier, and have gained a certain degree of social equality as a result.
