Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.
We have a guest book. Take a look. If you haven't taken a look yet, be sure and do so. ^_^

A park was an ever classic date spot. Couples would often come to enjoy each other's company and express their love for each other. The park was also a place for families to be with each other and have fun. It had the most beautiful scenery and feeling to it. But not so much on a day such as today. Though it was summer, today felt a bit like fall. The sun wasn't beaming onto park, brining forth heat and slight discomfort. Instead, white puffy clouds blanketed the sky and kept everything under it in eternal shade. There was no wind, so it still warm. It was the right temperature and a nice day in the park, despite the sunlight.
Now the park is a place meant for people to move forward in their relationship with whom ever they went with, whether it be friends, family, or even that loved one. But why would anyone come by themselves, especially a person that had no idea what the purpose of a park was. This person was a little silver haired girl. She looked about fourteen years old and was dressed a bit more cutesy then you would expect for some one her age.
She wore a beautiful purple dressed that matched her eyes and it have a silver-ish lining that matched her hair. The dress itself came down to a little below her knees and on her little feet wore black buckle dress shoes. In her hair she had two large pink ribbons tied to a purple hair band that lay over the top of her hair. The sleeves to hr dress almost seemed disconnected and tied to her arms at the middle of her bicep. Around the end of the sleeves, a pink ribbon seemed to swirl around it without touching.
The girl, as cute as she looked, was walking along the paths of the park with a confused, yet curious, look on her face. Her head moved side to side as if she was looking around at everything like she had never seen it before. And in truth, she hadn't. But what caught her attention most were a few birds in a tree. They were a different type of bird that she had never seen before with a mixture of colors she was unfamiliar with. As she stopped in the middle of the path she was walking and stared at them, she started to think. A question popped into her mind that she had about all animals. How come they were allowed to go about nude and not her? Her parents had told her that it was a necessity to wear clothes to cover yourself and keep you safe and warm. But what about the birds? How come they didn’t need to do these things? Though the question was more than obvious in anyone's mind, a girl as naive as this one was left wondering and asking herself out loud, "Why don't birds wear clothes?"
A young Asian girl was casually walking through the park. Her sapphire blue eyes were staring up at the clouds and the occasional flock of pidgeons flying overhead in large, clumsy circles before landing on a nearby rooftop. Her honey brown hair was in a pretty simple style; one side was down while the other had been brushed back. She wore a baby blue tee shirt with a black cross that took up the entire right side and a navy blue skirt that reached about two or three inches above her knees; a black bag hung on her right shoulder. On her feet were a pair of brown shoes with loose white socks. Who is this girl, you ask? Hitomi Wakahisa.
Hitomi had come to the park to draw some of the scenery, despite the complete overcast. She would usually go to the garden back at MHS to draw, but she felt like getting out for a little while. Well, that, and she already had several pictures of the garden in her sketchbook. Hitomi was almost completely zoned out, not that it was anything new. She was prone to letting her mind wander.
"Why don't birds wear clothes?"
"Nani?" Hitomi said aloud, snapping out of her thoughts. She looked over at a silver haired girl only about one or two feet away from her. How could Hitomi have not seen her? Now that she actually noticed her, the girl seemed to stand out. She probably would have said something or at least continue walking, but the question seemed to stop her from doing anything more than just standing. Why don't birds where clothes? It seemed so... naive.
((Egads. This post was a longer than I expected it to be. ))
Re: Tweet tweet?
Every pair of eyes and all the gossip this day was centered around a very unusual young man, as he walked the park and played his flute. If finely toned Obsidian skin didn't set him apart from everyone else, than patterns of horns sprouting out of his body, bare feet, and a huge wing of black and white feathers certainly would. He was dressed only in a pair of khaki cargo shorts that rode low on his hips, a black, leather belt wound through the loops to prevent them from falling off and the absence of a shirt displayed the smooth interplay of tightly defined muscles.
"What a wonderful day!" Shinyo proclaimed loudly, taking in a deep breath of fresh air, the song of birds prompting him to play his own flute in chorus with them. He mostly ignored the stairs and the hushed conversations as he passed people with the exception of a predator like grin at some of the more rude ones that sent them scurrying away.
Humanity is so kind He thought to himself sarcastically. So what if he had changed his body to be different, it didn't mean he didn't like taking walks in the park on a nice day.
"Why don't birds wear clothes?" Was someone actually talking to him? Shinyo haulted his walk and his flute playing to look around for the voice. His gaze stopped on a pair of young girls standing not too far infront of him, both equally staring up and off into space.
They were both so cute! Like right out of an anime. Shinyo stalked up behind and between the pair, ball of his foot first to silence his steps and searched for what had grabbed their interests.
"Of course birds wear clothes silly! You think those feathers are just for show?" He smiled and than started playing his flute again.
Re: Tweet tweet?
The silver haired girl continued to watch the birds, her mind wondering about the many mysteries of animals and their lack of clothing. Now that she was thinking about it, she started to wonder why no one else had asked her a thing. Maybe bird weren't supposed to wear clothes. But if that was the case, then how would they be warm in the winter time. The girl's blank stare was then interrupted by a new sound she had never heard before. It was a pleasant sound, but at the same time, it was out of place ad it made the sound a bit of an annoyance to the serenity that was the park.
Blinking, the girl lowered her head and turned to face the source of the sound. That's when she saw the girl that was looking at her. And a split second after that, her focus was shared with a new person as well, this one an oddly shaped boy. Just like the girl, Nyoko simply looked at the two; her mind more confused then wondering. Did this people want to talk to her and if they did, how come they didn't greet her? But before her mind could go deeper into thought, the oddly shaped boy had spoken, not with a greeting, but an answer.
"Feathers...?" She repeated one of the boy's words. She had heard the word before, but she still didn't know what it meant. She then looked at the boy's wing, which reminded her of the bird and so she put the two together and made yet another weird conclusion. "But why do you where clothes and have feathers too?" She asked him, confused by the boy's words and appearance.
Re: Tweet tweet?
Hitomi's thoughts were blown to bits upon being interrupted by the sound of a flute. She looked over at the source of the sound and saw a boy she had never seen before. Her eyes widened slightly as she stared at him; he stuck out completely from his black skin and bones sticking out all over the place to his black and white wing and bare feet. Okay, maybe bare feet wasn't so unsusal, but he stood out nonetheless. She had never seen anyone like him before; Chances were, nobody had ever seen anyone like him.
Once he came up right next to her, she inadvertantly took a step back. She couldn't help but stare; she kept telling herself to quit staring or risk insulting him, but she couldn't! She opened her mouth to say something, but no words formed. So now she was staring at him with her mouth slightly open like he was some sort of freak. She quickly shook her head, causing her hair to slap her in the face a few times and get a little messy. However, she didn't care too much about it.
"Who... Who are you?" she asked him. by now, she had almost completely forgotten about the other girl.
Re: Tweet tweet?Feathers...?But why do you where clothes and have feathers too? There was only a deep seated curiousity behind the question and behind this adorable, pink and purple themed girl's eyes. No judgement at all, no screams of "get away freak!". Shinyo immediately put her in his top 10 book of favorite people.
Shinyo laughed and extended his wing, surrounding Kyoko and Hitomi in feathers. "Feels soft huh?" He asked mischieviously. "And I only wear clothing I feel comfortable in, I believe everyone has the right to make that choice." He used his hand to indicate his bare chest. "So I'm only half naked...usually."
Shinyo smiled again and turned to look at Hitomi, while not quite as accepting, or maybe oblivious was a better word for Miss Pink and purple, this one looked like she was about to run and he was glad he had somewhat trapped her with his wing.
Who... Who are you?
"Names Shinyo, new student at MHS." He laughed, performing a short, exagerated bow and extended his hand for introductions to each girl respectively. "Always happy to be in the company of such beautiful young women." He cast a big grin and a wink at Hitomi. "I'm just a big marshmellow so don't be afraid of...how I look."
Re: Tweet tweet?
Nyoko looked at the guy, her eyes slowly going over his features. While Nyoko wasn't screaming or running, she was confused. It was indeed curious as to what the boy in front of her was. He looked normal, but he had all this extra stuff and parts of his body were even the wrong color. Just looking at him, many questions popped into her mind, but out of all of them, the biggest one was if he was a person or a bird.
In Nyoko's understanding, birds could fly and had wings and people stood upright and had arms. But this boy had both and Nyoko was more than confused. As his wings went around them, Nyoko jumped at their sudden movement. She felt the feathers, which were soft, but felt weird at the same time. She then blinked again, looking at the boy. "Half-naked?" She repeated to him, not knowing what the words meant in English. While Nyoko did speak both English and Japanese, there were many words n both languages that she did not know and they differed between the languages.
But then, Nyoko heard something she was familiar. It was a greeting. That was the indicator that she could understand perfectly. “I’m Nyoko….” She started, stopping and turned so that she was facing both the oddly shaped boy and the girl. “My name is Nyoko. Nice to meet you all.” She restated, trying hard to sound American.
Re: Tweet tweet?
Hitomi felt a little uncomfortable with his wing partially trapping her. It wasn't that his wing was uncomfortable at all; in fact, the feathers on his wing were very soft. It just seemed a little awkward, seeing as she hardly knew him. In a weird, somewhat coplicated to explain way, it reminded her of... Bah, that's not important. Not now.
"Names Shinyo, new student at MHS."
"My name is Hitomi," she introduced, the awkwardness she felt starting to melt away. Aside from roaming the streets (or at the moment, the park) half naked and having bones sticking out of him all over the place, he seemed like just another person. She looked at him a bit strangely when he bowed; she hadn't expected that from someone in the States. Needless to say, she was actually a little impressed, seeing as not many people would bow.
“My name is Nyoko. Nice to meet you all.”
"It's nice to meet you both as well. I like your name, Nyoko. I think it sounds cute," Hitomi replied, blushing ever so slightly. She wans't blushing because of anything Nyoko did. She blushed because of the comment Shinyo said about being in the company of such beautiful young women. She was flattered, but at the same time, uncomfortable with it.
Re: Tweet tweet?
"Pleasure to be your friend Hitomi, Nyoko." Shinyo replied warmly and with a big smile. He moved forward to slip an arm around each girl and than lift them from the ground in a one-armed bear hug.
"Do you go to school around here?" He asked politely, setting the girls down and pulling his wing back to rest comfortably folded against his back, his fingers twirling his flute subconsciously. "Or maybe your home schooled?" He ventured a guess.
Bleh, I was homeschooled till I was 14... Shinyo thought to himself. "...and it sucked..." He murmered.
Oh well He shrugged and than was back to smiling, leaning to whisper into Kyoko's ear. "Half naked is when the clothing that your wearing doesn't cover up your whole body." Shinyo backed up and indicated his shorts.
Re: Tweet tweet?
Looking at Hitomi as she introduced herself, Nyoko felt better and even more so as she complimented her name. It was the second time some one had done so and Nyoko was starting to see why her parents gave her such a same. But before she could thank the girl, she was grabbed and lifted off the ground with a hug by the oddly shaped boy named Shinyo. As she was set down, she took a step back from the boy, feeling a bit dizzy after such random physical contact. Holding her head, Nyoko looked at Hitomi and then at Shinyo. "P-please don't do that a-again...." She said, her English a bit choppy.
Then, as she heard his question, it took her mind a bit of time to translate and answer. "Yes! I go to the school with the other freaks!" She said merely repeating what she had heard from other people in her walk through the park. Being the innocent she was she didn't mean any harm by it, but she didn't know any better. In fact, she didn't even know what a freak was, but in her mind, the two were connected and so she used them together, not knowing it was wrong.
Re: Tweet tweet?"Pleasure to be your friend Hitomi, Nyoko."
Hitomi opened her mouth to say something in reply only to have a startled squeal (for lack of a better word) jump out instead. She didn't quite enjoy being picked up so suddenly. Once set back on the ground, she was a bit off balance. After about a second or so, she regained her composure. Hopefully he wouldn't do that a second time.
"Do you go to school around here?"
"Yes. I attend Manga High School," Hitomi answered a little uneasily. She was still getting used to life at the school. After being home schooled from kindergarten till now, it felt a little weird saying what school she went to. In truth, this was her first time attending a public school, not counting the school she attended for about a month back home in Kyoto (but that's not important).
"Yes! I go to the school with the other freaks!"
Freaks. The word seemed to slap her in the face. A slightly hurt look came over her, but she quickly disspelled it. She wasn't a freak, and neither was anyone else at the school. She repeated it over and over in her mind, but she couldn't make herself believe it. Of all the things to be called, freak seemed to kill her on the inside. Although Nyoko probably didn't mean any sort of harm, it still hurt just a bit to know that they were thought of as freaks.
"S-Seito. That's what he called me... when I first got my powers. A freak," she said quietly to herself.
"Oops Gomen." Shinyo replied with a sheepish grin, his right hand moving to scratch the back of his head while his other hand moved to lighly touch Nyoko's forehead, palm down so as not to scratch her with the bones on the top of his hand."Hope your not sick."
Yes. I attend Manga High School...Yes! I go to the school with the other freaks
Shinyo was amazed at Nyoko, her surprisingly loud answer reminding him of himself and he laughed, but than he noticed Hitomi's suddenly sad, dark features and he restrained the urge to hug her again since it didn't seem to go along too well the first time.
He leaned down to whisper in Nyoko's ear. "You shouldn't say Freaks, it might hurt someones feelings." Shinyo paused mid explanation searching for the best words and looked at Hitomi. "Freak is a word people use to hurt those who are different. Just think of yourself as a very Special person and refer to others in the same way, ok?"
"And you." He turned to Hitomi. "Chin up eh? The only opinion that should matter about yourself is your own own." He made a goofy face, the expression a twist to his monster like features. "What do you think people call me?"
"Anyways, all the depressing stuff aside, whats brings you two out here?"

Re: Tweet tweet?
(ooc) Btw Toy, it's Nyoko, not Kyoko...<.<
Nyoko blinked absentmindedly as Shinyo grinned and lightly touched her forehead. She stared up at his hand, confused in the meaning behind the gesture. "Sick...?" She asked, not knowing the word was English for sick. Of course, unknown to all three of them, during the times that he touched Nyoko's skin, he was receiving a boost in his special powers. It was usually quite a large one, but he wouldn't notice it unless he actually tried to use them. Then, if it wasn't too much for him to handle, he'd be able to do more than he could have dreamed of.
Nyoko's attention turned to Hitomi as Shinyo warned her about the word freaks. Her head tilted to the side a bit and Nyoko started to feel a little bad. She didn't know that the word she used was a bad on; she was merely repeating what she had heard. Looking at her, Nyoko smiled a bit, walking to the girl. She looked at her head as she looked down at the ground. "I'm sorry......" She said, in the most normal sounding English she had spoken all day. "You are a very special person, so smile!" Nyoko pleaded softly as she brought her arms up to embrace the girl.
It was the only way Nyoko knew how to apologize. The need for such a thing came up once before with her mother. Though innocent, Nyoko commented on something she shouldn't have about her mother's family and she got upset. Her father told her to apologize and how to do so. And because Nyoko didn't know any better, she was doing the same thing here.
Re: Tweet tweet?"Chin up eh? The only opinion that should matter about yourself is your own own."
The slightly depressed expression vanished, but other than that she didn't do anything to show that she heard him. However, she did give him a bit of a blank stare when he made rather goofy looking face. It contradicted with his abnormal appearance. Her attention was soon turned to Nyoko.
"I'm sorry......"
"It's okay. You just didn't know it was a bad word. There's no real need to apologize," Hitomi reasoned, trying to sound like didn't really care as she forced herself to smile. Although her feelings were still a little hurt, she didn't want to show it. She didn't want anyone to feel guilty or anything because of her.
"You are a very special person, so smile!"
Hitomi gave her a blank stare before smiling again. This time, however, it wasn't a fake smile; it was just an innocent, modest smile. Hitomi gave Nyoko a hug, since she didn't want to just leave her hanging. It felt a little strange at first, since she barely knew her, but she pushed the feeling aside. She let go of her a few seconds later to avoid an awkward moment.
"Anyways, all the depressing stuff aside, whats brings you two out here?"
"I came out here to draw, actually. I guess I got a little side tracked," she replied, sheepishly scratching the back of her head. If life were an anime, she'd probably have a sweatdrop going down the side of her head.
Re: Tweet tweet?
Shinyo smiled as Nyoko slipped away from him and embraced Hitomi in an apology. The scene was very cute and he schooled his features to hide his growing unease. He turned away from them, his body suddenly feeling as if it were on fire.
What the hell? Nothing was unaffected, everything felt like it was going to burst. Shinyo gazed about for a good spot where he could sink into meditation.
Can I do that safely though? Shinyo cursed again.
I came out here to draw, actually. I guess I got a little side tracked.
"An artist huh?" He asked tenatively, his voice still easy going. "Any drawings as beautiful as you?" Shinyo laughed than, loud and long.
"Got a favorite spot? One that might be good to take a nap at?" He asked.

The sunlight is one of those rare things that puts Karrody in a mood. Perhaps it is because he knows that some day he will be unable to stand under the rays of the sun. Today the sun is hidden behind the clouds though the warmth from the UV rays still make their passage through and Karrody knows this as he walks through the park in a brooding mood.
While walking he spots a trio of people talking, one of them almost causes him to draw one of the small blades he carries underneath his clothes. Small enough to be worn comfortably and remain for the most part unseen Karrody makes a point to keep them on his person at all times.
When he sees that the boy, or person, or whatever it may be that speaks with the girls is not aggressive, he decides to let it be. Perhaps it is just another of those things that make this country so different from France. In such, Karrody takes a seat on an empty bench to observe from a distance, not seeing many things that have such an appearence in these areas as he is currently seein.
