Two Pieces of Bread (Open)
A teenaged girl dressed in a familiar outfit of blue and white, scanned the lunch room around her. Her hair was straight, the colour matching perfectly with her sapphire t-shirt. Clutched in her hand was a blue tray, but placed upon it was nothing special or fattening. It was just simply a sandwich and a cartoon of juice. She was stood on the outskirts of the mass of tables and sea of students. She never realised how many people actually attended the school until now, but it was also then she realised it wasn’t actually that many. The room was just somewhat smaller that most.

Reikia quickly glanced across the packed lunch room, trying just to find an empty seat, never mind a table. It was long before one of her sky blue eyes spied a chair next to a window not too far away. Reikia didn’t like confrontations, so found it somewhat difficult from getting one side of the huge hall to another. She barely grimaced, however, as she moved past a mob of people whom were speaking rather loudly, one of them stepping backwards directly into her path. She sighed in annoyance, blanching somewhat and clutching her tray in her hand.

Finally, she arrived at her destination and with a heavy clanging noise, dropped her tray on the plastic table in front of it. Reikia didn’t hate eating, but over the passing days she had been getting somewhat gradually annoyed. It was only normal, however, with her happy go-lucky attitude for all the bad feelings to catch up on her and every little thing seemed to be doing so today. Casually, she sat down on the chair ignoring the chatting around her as she unscrewed the cap of her drink.

Reikia ran her slender fingers through her hair, before reluctantly picking up a slice of her sandwich. She stared at it for a moment, her eyes for a moment barely registering the filling inside. Unconsciously, her free hand fiddled with a tress of her bright blue hair, which was unnoticeably gaining some attention by her fellow peers. Reikia had already been approached on many occasions with queries about if it was naturally that colour. It was of course, but she hadn’t made the connection between her powers. All she knew was her mother had blue hair, and Reikia had inherited that from her. Nothing harmless really.

Re: Two Pieces of Bread (Open)
Madison stared at the girl as she sat down in front of her without even asking for the permission to do so. Was she serious? What type of person would fo that? It was then that she remember where she really was. This place wasnt exactly known for its well-mannered or even bearable students, atleast in her mind. MHS was not even close to her old all girl private school. It was sickening to see these 'teens' gobble up their food and prance about. She hated the lunchroom actually but the food in her room had run out and she wasnt willing to spen her money on some regular old burger.

She gave the girl across from her another once over before putting her bottle of water back on her empty tray. Her pale pink lips curled up into a disgusted look of complete contempt, a feeling that seemed to be abundant at this place and this was all at the sight of the girls hair.

"Why would you dye your hair that color?" She said batting at her own richly aburn hair.

Daedelus walked into the cafateria. he was wearing his ususal attire of all black clothing. This includes black pants, a black shirt, black robe top, black robe bottom, black socks, and black tennishoes. He also had on a black cloak that had a hood attached to it, and he was wearing a black leather belt. He also had with him his gold dragon longsword. It was on his belt, and was concealed very well. The hilt could be seen, but you would really have to look to see it. Last but not least, his hood was up.

When you had walked into the cafateria, he walked over to the table that had the two students talking.

" Hi, may I join you for lunch?" He asked with a smile.

He then waited for a reply.

Re: Two Pieces of Bread (Open)
Reikia gave the girl a sharp her look, which in most people’s opinions would have been strange to witness. There was no smile, or any hint of warmth present in her usual sparkling blue eyes. This was supposed to the nicest girl ever, but here she was showing a certain amount of malice to the girl also sat at the table. There was no real reason, however, for such blatant rude behaviour. Reikia had never crossed paths with this girl before, but that didn’t necessarily stop her. It’s strange how anger can suddenly change someone, especially someone who spent so long making sure they never revealed their true feelings or emotions at the opportune moment.

“I’ll have you know I didn’t dye it, but in fact I was born with it this colour,” she answered, her voice somewhat low but sharp at the same time. It was obvious the reply was in ill temper though, by the fact it was almost monotone giving the impression she was restraining herself from yelling. Then someone else started talking to them, but this time it wasn’t any snide remarks about her hair. They were asking to join them for lunch, despite the fact the fact Reikia was obviously going to melt down any moment. For a moment she contemplated how clueless people could be in this day and age, but merely sighed in aspiration.

“Whatever,” she responded to the new person, but didn’t bother to look up at them. Instead, she waved her hand in their general direction hoping they would take the gesture in any way they pleased. Reikia didn’t own the lunch room just like he didn’t. He could sit anyway for all she cared at that particularly moment in time. Her attention turned once more to the sandwich, but didn’t bring it to her mouth to eat it. She merely stared, her head buzzing with thoughts. Reikia wasn’t even sure why she was behaving this way, but she just assumed she had enough of the good girl act. Where had it got her? Two dead parents and a bloody necklace for her trouble. What happened to the saying return in two folds?

At that though, her hand instinctively went to the milky white pendant around her slender neck and slid it along the metal chain. It was slightly dull in colour, but it had the tendency to shine brightly when she was using her powers. At each different link there was a soft clinking noise produced that was barely heard over the low rumble of the students present in the room. Reikia didn’t like eating school lunch after her first encounter in the lunchroom. She had sat with two other girls, and one of them had offered to cook a substance called haggis. Reikia was still wondering to this day what the hell it was, but it didn’t matter now.

Her attention was thrown from the girl when another student joined her table. Yes her table. She owned it, according to her standards she had laid claim to it by just setting there and now this little tart was going to give her attitude? The very idea was laughable, so much so that it actually cause those pale pink lips to curl up interest. She waved a hand at the boy just as the other girl did, a gesture letting him know that he could if he wanted to. Atleast he had the intelligence to ASK, unlike the other girl.

Madison examined this girl closely, her glacial blue eyes scaning the odd blue color that actually seemed to grow from this girls head. Why on earth would someone lie about the color of their hair but, at the same time she had to consider exactly where she was and what type of students went to this festering hell hole. That in mind made Madison reconsider the validity of the girls statement. She could have actually sprouted such a wild color.

"You know, the corner stores sell hair dyes that could make you look alittle less..." She paused to think of the exact word and of course the worst one she could have come up with was the best one at the time. She couldnt help being a snob, well she could but why lower herself for someone else?

"....Weird. I am sure a dark black would go nicely with your emo attitude."

Re: Two Pieces of Bread (Open)
((Couldn't help myself))

“Weird? Why would I be here if I was normal?” Reikia asked, her voice dripping with pure sarcasm. It was the type which disguised itself as pleasantries and happiness, when it was oblivious it was said in pure spite and loathing. Unconsciously, she placed an elbow on the table in front of them as she idly held her head up. Her pure attitude gave the impression she knew this person, and hated her with all her might. Appearances, of course, were never like they really seemed. She strained a smile, tilting her head to one side as she continued, “But you aren’t normal either are you?”

Reikia took in the girl’s appearance, nodding as if it explained it all. The utter loathing, and the blunt comments flying around the table. She twirled a strand of her hair around an index finger, suddenly pleased for it bizarre colour. Reikia never wanted to be like her, and never simply would. “Really? Well, I must say that then your hair colour is perfect for you! Dull… and haughty?” Reikia gave a bitter laugh, rolling her eyes at the girl across the table. It appeared even at a school like this there was the posh students who thought of themselves as superiors, and they were all blondes or auburns.

For a moment, Reikia didn’t even notice in her own blind ignorance of the moment that she was acting just as arrogant as those girls at her previous school. She had temporarily stepped into their popular and higher role, but the victim was just as ready to bite back it appeared. Reikia wasn’t normally one for confrontations, but it appeared all those years of snide remarks and bluntly rude attitude towards her had finally caught up. Reikia was getting revenge for sins not committed by those around her. Such a shame she had to meet Reikia on one of those rare bad days, but would she had gotten on with the bubbly blue anyway?

Re: Two Pieces of Bread (Open)
Madison just sat there looking at the girl, one eyebrow slightly cocked upwards in a curious fashion. She made a valid point though, she wouldnt be here if she was like everyone else. Still, there was a certain degree of normality that surrounded the school, an air of the traditional high school setting that lulled even the sharpest minds, such as hers, into a standard slumber.

The girl continued to speak and of course she listened to her, the strained smile on this girls face was amusing to say the least. It was the comment about her own firey red locks that caught Madisons attention. She held it inside her for a moment but the small laugh crept out of her mouth before she could even stop it. The sound was dry, almost unused since she rarely laughed, it took too much glee to laugh in her opinion.

"Oh really little girl, you think I am haughty? whatever gave you that idea? Maybe the fact that you see actually am superior? or could it be the fact that you see that you are inferior?"

Daedelus then sits down at the table.
"Hey, give it a rest perhaps she has just had a bad day. Anyhow, who are you to come here and just start bashing this girls appearance? I am surprised you have to lower yourself to such a level of disgust to talk to her.

Where I come from we would settle this with a fight. But in your world it seems that you should be polite, and don't be so judgemental. Besides, My hair is strange as well.

he then Throws back his hood. When his hood had been thrown back you could see he had grey skin, red eyes, pointed ears, pointed teeth, and red hair that came down past his shoulders.

"I am strange as well, so will you now make fun of me too?"
He said to the red haired girl.

Re: Two Pieces of Bread (Open)
“There is a difference between being superior and being just plain arrogant,” Reikia shot back to the girl, her eyes automatically narrowing. She smirked slightly, before looking slightly stunned as the newcomer began to speak. She barely blinked, however, as he revealed what he truly looked like under his hood. Reikia had been here a while after all, and wasn’t totally unaware of the mysterious identities of those around her. Many students attending Manga High had all their differences and little quirks that set them apart. Wherever it be something like Reikia’s hair or someone’s power or just simply an animal characteristic. It was natural, and totally not unexpected.

For a moment, Reikia listened intently to the boy as she nodded in agreement. However, Reikia didn’t at all think this was the girls fault. Reikia had appeared looking for a fight, and was blatantly rude. This girl was just handling the situation in her own unique way, though it did appear to make Reikia’s attitude somewhat worse then necessary. She also didn’t really appreciate that he appeared to have taken her side and defending her. After all, Reikia had just being talking about superiors, and he gave the slight impression she wouldn’t be able to argue for herself.

“But that just shows how large your head is I suppose,” she added, rolling her eyes. It had lost some of its meaning during the time Reikia had politely held back any further remarks until he was finished. Although, the effect and meaning was still obviously there in her response. The argument, of course, was between Reikia and this girl. It had nothing to do with this stranger, but Reikia couldn’t really prevent others from joining in when they felt like it. People were naturally nosey and argumentative, but not all people poked their noses into other people’s business. Not unless they wanted to get burned, but that was sadly just how the human world worked.
