Heya Frostito,
Ive been thinking of starting something there to. Saw ya there the other day. Here is what I got from research and one gorup hunting there. The gorgon mobs (sp) have an agro range a mile long so might have to do the hate sytle monk pulling to get them and they drop some decent loot for mellee classes. Dark assasins drop rogue/bard only armor which IMHO isnt all that great. All mobs have tons of hitpoints so a 3+ group raid would do well. But, The gear seems a little better than Hate. For example the bard/rogue bp is 27ac?? Not sure on the drop rate, for all those peps sick of going to pog 800 times and getting nothing this might be a good place. PUlling to the zone is not the best idea. Train central. Anyways, Lets set something up and get this zone on the map. before long it will be filled with 46+ level plane raiders. The gear is good for around 46-50 (non twinkers) and the occasional nice gear. Cant do it tonight as it is new years and im going out to party it up but tomorrow would rock

Sounds viable ... Had one group farming at the entrance with no major problems. I did notice you could invis up and go around from the entrance to the further areas inside the zone. It seems more stable and farm-able deeper inside with more room to work with.

Went there with two well balanced guild groups a week or two ago. Everyone was either 59 or 60 with the exception of three people being 52, 56 and 57. Non stop pulling, when we were down to two mobs the puller went and got more. Was a piece of cake.
Edit: To answer your question, I would imagine level 55 would be more than sufficient.

If you were going there for loot, and you are above level 53, you will be disappointed. It's not that good at all. I think this zone was made for lets say 6 groups, level 46 to 52. The reason I say that is because of the gear that drops. Why would anyone over level 55 want gear that you can go get in hate? There is nothing here that is that special. I would still like to raid this though. I don't play the game for loot as much as for fun, and this zone could be some fun.

Exp seemed good even with two groups. Fair amount of the mobs were level 54/55ish. If your just going for loot, don't go. Although I've only seen one armor drop but if it's any indication, then this isn't a loot zone heh. Was a int caster bracer and hell, a Woven Grass Bracer is better than that PoS that dropped.
But if your looking for exp and spells, might be worth checking out. However, only been there once for 2 - 3 hours so your mileage might vary.
Well, given that at 54/55 I am still wearing some Ry`Gorr and equivalent gear some of it just might be upgrades ehhe
Was just curious about the place since ive never been there....now ive filed all of this away in my filing cabinet in my head for later use.

I was there a few weeks ago as well. No, the gear isn't to uber, but it's still a little better than what I have now. The XP isn't too bad either.
However, trying to find a group here is still a bit difficult (spammed LFG for about 1 hour before leaving for Skyfire soloing).
Anyone running any more Umbral raids soon?

I am also interested in this zone...the exp is very good. Went with three grps before and had a blast killing new mobs. Some have alot of hp's and some are kinda easy. I would like to go with a group of people who are willing to move inside this zone tho, I am pretty sure we can find a spot somewhere where we can pull the zone too.

I found a great spot to pull to. follow the wall to your right till you see some fallen soldiers. there is a little patch that is rock instead of grass. The soldiers have a very low agro range. they can be right in front of you and not agro it seems. anyways, you will be far enough away to not worry about the gorgon things and pull a wide variety of mobs. We went to that spot with one group and did quite well. FYI, fallen soldiers drop caster gear, Gorgon things (dont know the name hehe) drop melle type gear, Dark Assassins drop rogue/bard armor. I haven't seen any good weapons or trinkets drop and there is one bad mofo of a mob that will kick your ars (forgot the name), he is at the zone to vex thal (sp). Keep in mind this is still a very uncharted zone and there is most likely some rare stuff that no one knows about.
Lets set a night and do this. Easy to get to, just give me a tell and you will have at least 3 people ready to go right away.

ive heard there is some incredible wis/int caster gear, but little tank gear that drops there. my 2cp

Id love to join an umbral raid. I have lots of exp in the zone and keep up daily on what mobs drop what and mob lvls. Killed moktor, raldukan, drelkner, shojen, shojien, fyr guys, neths, DA, Dark master, zelinaks, daktors, and watched 3 groups kill the Zelthinkak ( observed dmg, slowability, AE and stuns, etc). Im a 56 pally and have tanked all the above mobs ( DM hurt badd ). Love to help out and explore the zone further.. Thanx.
And reference loot... 25 wis and int staffs drop there, 46ac bps with stats, 15wis drood tunics, 41% haste earring, 14 19 rogue weapons, 12ac 6sv all bracers with 15 to one stat 15dex agi on one), 14 int robes; so loot is sweet.
