It's almost summer! The last few weeks of school have come, and students will need to study hard for their final exams! Don't let up yet, or your grades won't be what you want them to. Of course, the weather is almost perfect and pristine, in attempts to lure students away from their studies.
About Us [ooc]: Unified Hogwarts is an advanced, sophisticated Harry Potter RPG. It is set in an expanded universe, so as to be as immersive as possible. The site is meant to refine Harry Potter roleplaying for those serious about having a truly great experience with J.K. Rowling's realm. Plot: 1998 was a year that changed the world, going down in the record books as the most eventful calendar year the wizard world had ever seen. Voldemort, lording over his dark domain, was finally defeated - permanently. With one great hammer stroke, the Riddle tyrant was finally destroyed and the wizarding world could rejoice once more as the great shroud was lifted from Britain.
But those happy days would be short lived. The victory, which the ministry proclaimed as the start of a millennia of peace, proved to be a false hope for a new Pax Magica. Less than half a decade after the destruction of Voldemort's body and spirit, the scattering of his loyal forces, and the shattering of his twisted ideals, the waters are stirring yet again. Some great evil lurks just on the horizon, waiting for their moment to strike. Only the most astute can feel its presence, but change is in the air...
It is now 2002. A mere four years after that final blow broke the back of pureblood elitism, those same questionable characters seem to be giddy once again. They can sense a coming draft; Voldemort left the door open for another demon, every bit as terrible as the one before.
The British Ministry of Magic is secure in its belief that there will be nothing more to trouble them. They proclaimed the Battle of Britain in 1998 to be their great victory, proof that no great evil could disturb the Ministry's proud ideals. They believe no wound is too deep to heal and no scar is too great to hide. That the passage of time has erased the hurts the Dark Lord inflicted, and no one could possibly be audacious enough to try to disturb the wary peace.
But the Ministry is wrong, just as it has been about so many other things. Just as the wizarding world is looking forward beyond an uneasy reconstruction, something is tearing at the newly minted walls, working to destroy everything they've recreated.
Right as the sandstorm begins to settle, a hurricane is coming...
