Lucas entered the auditorium along side Stella. He had previously asked her to go with him, and she accepted, but Lucas believed she was just being polite. He was experienced when it came to Masquerade balls. He had gone to a few when growing up. On his first time, the masks had made him uneasy, as he found it difficult to pick who people were because of their rather complex masks. With this knowledge at hand, Lucas had chosen a simple
mask with nothing too flashy about it. With his black and white attire, the colour choice seemed to go well.
When looking down at Stella, Lucas wondered lightly if this was to be considered a date or not. But he wouldn’t dare ask her at the risk of making her feel uncomfortable. That and lately he’d been feeling more nervous around her, probably as a result of his conversation with Sakura. The question she had asked made him doubt some things. If she really was just being polite then perhaps she didn’t want to be here with him at all. There was probably someone else that she would have much rather come with.
Surprisingly, Lucas had been able to keep his compliments to a minimum tonight, after finally realising that they tended to make her uncomfortable. The musician looked around the room, taking in the scenery to the fullest extent. He was impressed with how good it looked when the decorations and such were so simple. “ It looks great, doesn’t it?” He commented, his eyes still roaming the room. After a moment he looked back to her again, a friendly smile on his face. One compliment couldn’t hurt, could it? It was, after all, in his nature to do so. His eyes kept to hers as he reached over and brushed a few strands of her hair from her face. “ You look wonderful Stella. Absolutely amazing. I’m quite lucky to be here with you tonight.” He said to her.
