Vampire soap on Sci Fi

Maybe this person is thinking of Ultraviolet? Never saw it, so I don't know how much it fits the title "soap opera", but it aired on Sci-Fi and had vampires.

Other than that, the only thing I can think of would be Dark Shadows, but that's pretty old.
