Visiting the family (Closed)
DAY ONE
Hitomi stepped off the bus, her suitcase in hand, and began making her way to her house. It was nice seeing her old neighborhood again, even though she had only been gone a couple of weeks. Her mother probably would've picked her up from the airport herself, but her car needed a new radiator and Seito, her step dad, had taken the other car to work. However, the young girl didn't mind in the least. It was actually kind of nice; she still remembered exactly where everything was. Nothing had changed, it seemed. She had even seen a couple of people from her high school (although she didn't know them much at all).
Hitomi had been looking forward to visiting her family for quite some time. Although she was only staying for four days, she couldn't have been happier. However, she mostly only came to see her mother, Jin. Hitomi and Seito had pretty much never gotten along; they were complete opposites. Seito was forceful, strict, and refused to accept excuses, while Hitomi was gentle, fair, and tolerant of others. It seemed that no matter what Hitomi did, her Seito only saw it as either failure or not good enough. He was very hard to please; and yet he got along with her mother perfectly fine, despite that she and Hitomi were almost the same. Maybe it was just her.
As Hitomi approached her old home, she took a deep breath and knocked on the door. She waited about a minute for someone to answer; nothing happened. She then rang the doorbell and waited. This time, she heard a voice and foot steps coming down the stairs. A few seconds later, she was greeted by her mother at the door.
"Hitomi-chan! It's so nice to see you again!" her mother greeted excitedly as she pulled Hitomi into a loving embrace. "Come in, come in!" Jin insisted. Hitomi picked up her suitcase and walked inside.
Basically everything in her home was the same as when she left.
