What I'm watching...
Hi All. Been a bit quiet around here lately. Just thought I'd let you know that I just watched two Japanese horror flicks that I would highly recommend. AUDITION and BATTLE ROYALE have to be seen to be believed! Hunt them down and watch them today! Oh, yeah, RING 1, 2 and 0 are all good films too. The Japanese are making some real cool stuff at the moment! Highly recommended! See ya! Steve

I recently watched the DVD of RESIDENT EVIL. It Kicked Major ASS! A superb horror flick! They did everything right, gore when it was needed, and lack of gore and heavy suspense when appropriate. Lots of action, lots of suspense, lots of zombies! They were faithful enough to the video game to please hardcore gamers and yet they strayed into new territory just enough to break away from the game and give us something brand new. It stands on it's own very well so even if you've never heard of the video game it's still an enjoyable movie. The script was very intelligent, the acting was fantastic. The special effects were perfect. The director, who also wrote the script (W. P. Anderson? correct me if that's not the right name) did an all around great job. This one is a must see in my book!

I watched Resident Evil too this week
I was a fan of the game and it does have some similarities it really really scared the pants off me especially the zombies (oops spoiler) and I really liked the effects with the laser in the tunnel .
IN THE DARK
Had the pleasure of watching IN THE DARK (the new version) on the weekend.
Needless to say, it's still a terrific film and the new ending really does the film some justice. I don't want to spoil it for anyone who may get to see it, but believe me, the new ending certainly is better than the old one, and really closes the movie with a shock or two. Laymonites and film fans in general will be very happy with this new cut of IN THE DARK.
See it when you can!

Does anyone know if it's possible for us to be able to watch in the dark? I would love to watch it, but i have no idea if it will be available on vid or what! bye, Holly

Holly, IN THE DARK does not yet have a distribution deal. But the producers and Ann Laymon are working on getting it to the fans - somehow.
More news on this when it breaks. Keep checking RLK! for updates!

Like who's in it?
Does it follow the book or has a lot been changed for the big screen?
Any ideas why this book was picked first?
