What We Really Needed-Chapter 3

Chapter 3
Elizabeth just looked at Jason in shock. "Yes, I'm um- Yes, I'm pregnant."
Jason's shoulders slumped. Elizabeth was pregnant. Pregnant. She was pregnant with another man's baby. A baby was growing inside her at that moment, and he was not the father.
"Who's the father?" He heard Sonny ask.
He looked up just in time to see Elizabeth look at Carly in despair.
Carly looked at Sonny and Jason before answering for Elizabeth "It's not important guys."
"Look, I know it's none of my business but I need to know Elizabeth."
"Why, Jason? Because as a matter of fact, your right it is none of you business-"
"Why you love someone it becomes your business."
"Jason, I- Wait, you love me?" Elizabeth asked, shocked that he would say something like that.
"I can't remember a time when I didn't."
"Oh my god." Elizabeth and Carly said at the same time as they walked to each other and cried as they hugged.
When they stopped crying they looked up and saw Sonny and Jason staring at them strangely.
"What?" Carly asked.
"Oh nothing." Sonny said. "Elizabeth is pregnant and we don't know who the father is. Jason loves her. Plus you guys are best friends. Nothings wrong, just some of this stuff is a little hazy."
"Well, life isn't always normal Sonny." Elizabeth said.
"Yeah, well-"
"Sonny I need to talk to Elizabeth for a second, so do you think you and Carly can go into the kitchen?"
"Yeah." Sonny said before Carly could protest and he led her into the kitchen.

"What's going on Carly?" Sonny asked as soon as they were in the kitchen.
"Sonny...the um baby...it's um- Well let's put it this way, Jason's the father."
"How?" Sonny asked, clearly shocked.
"Elizabeth didn't get that far because you guys got here."
"Oh."
"Come on, I want to hear this conversation. It should be good." She said as she walked to the kitchen door and after a few minutes of fighting with himself, Sonny followed her.

"So what do you need to talk to me about Jason?"
"Elizabeth I kind of figured that since we slept together at Jakes and-"
"How did you know about that?" Elizabeth gasped in surprise. “I only remembered that it was you today, how did you remember what happened before than me?”
"What do you remember about that night Elizabeth?"
"I remember us having sex, and then waking up and you being gone."
"Something else happened that night Elizabeth and I think you should know about it."
"What?"
Jason handed her a piece of paper and when she looked at it, her face began to get paler and paler as she read on. She started to drop but Jason caught her before she touched the floor and set her on the couch.

Georgie looked at Dillon with a very hurt and angry expression on her face.
"Dillon..." She said when she had calmed down. "I never cheated on you and you don't know the whole story of what happened that day. And besides what you do know is probably not even true at all."
"Then, by all means enlighten me."
"Don't want to get into it, but it's not what you think, and I was only on Kyle's bike because I didn't have a choice. And by the way, I would have never cheated on you."
"I know that Georgie." Dillon said quietly.
"If you knew I wouldn't cheat on you, why would you cheat on me?"
"I never slept with Sage voluntarily Georgie." When he saw that Georgie was looking at him confused but silently urging him to continue he spoke again. "She told me she'd get her uncle to kill you, when I told her I wouldn't sleep with her. I didn't think Alcazar would kill you but when it comes down to it, she's his niece so I was scared for you. I still said no because I didn't really think that she would go to her uncle about all this, but then she drugged me and all I can remember is waking up and you yelling at me for cheating on you. I didn't really think Sage and I slept together though." He laughed. "I don't think she got an even drunk me to sleep with her. That's definitely gotta be bad for her ego-"
He stopped talking as Georgie ran to him and wrapped her arms around Dillon. They stood like that for a while as Georgie cried on Dillon's shoulder.
Suddenly she stopped crying and started to laugh as Dillon picked her up in his arms and walked over to the couch.
"What's so funny?" He asked as he sat down next to her on the couch.
"Nothing, I'm just so confused."
"About what?"
"Why did you let me break up with you and let me think you were sleeping with Sage?"
"She was still threatening to hurt you so she made me spend a lot of time with her so you'd think we were sleeping together." When Georgie frowned he spoke again in attempt to redeem himself. "Don't worry we didn't do anything. Actually she bought me a lot of old movies to watch while I was with her. She was always in and out doing stuff for her Uncle anyways because she said old movies are dumb."
"Oh."
"Yeah." He said quietly. "We have to make a movie date because I love the one movie she got me and I want you to see it.
Georgie looked up and noticed his whole face had lit up once he started talking about movies. She smiled at him and asked, "What's the movie about?"
If possible Dillon's smile got even bigger

"Elizabeth!" Carly yelled as she ran into the living room with Sonny right behind her.
Elizabeth looked up at Sonny and Carly and handed the piece of paper that was in her hand to Carly. Sonny leaned over Carly shoulder to read what it said.
"Oh my god." Sonny and Carly whispered as the finished reading it.
Sonny looked up at Jason and stared at him for a minute.
"Is this why you broke up with Courtney?" Sonny asked.
"You broke up with Courtney?" Elizabeth asked.
"Yes I broke up with Courtney and no that is not why I broke up with her. I broke up with your sister because I don't love her. And when I went to break up with her, I caught her in bed with someone else who shall remain nameless."
"Oh." They all said at once.
"Who was it?" Elizabeth asked quietly.
"No one important."
"Jason" Carly wined.
"It was her husband."
"Wait I thought they got divorced." Sonny said, baffled.
"Apparently not."
"Well..." Elizabeth said. "It looks like I was right Carly! I told you she was a slut. Pay up, cupcake!"
"Cupcake?" Sonny and Jason repeated.
"It’s a joke between us." Carly said.
"Oh." Sonny and Jason said.
"Oh god you guys don't get it do you?" Elizabeth asked. "Cupcake? Muffin? Do. you. get. it. now?" Carly and Elizabeth laughed.
"Yeah yeah I get it." Sonny said as the girls continued to laugh.
"Anyway..." Carly said. "You broke up with Courtney because you don't love her..."
"-He's in love with Elizabeth." Sonny finished.
"Sonny!" Jason yelled.
"Well that's ok. Liz broke up with Ric because she's still in love with Jase." Carly said
"Carly!" Elizabeth yelled, embarrassed.
"What?" Carly asked innocently. "Come on, it's not like he doesn't already know. And if he doesn't then he's an idiot."
Jason and Sonny looked at Elizabeth for confirmation and she nodded before staring at Jason for a moment.
Jason walked over to Elizabeth and leaned down to give her a hug as she cried because they had both finally got their feelings into the open.
"Elizabeth." Jason said as he pushed her hair off of the front of her face. "I love you and I want us to be together forever. I know that for a fact. And I want to be a father to this baby. It's a part of you and for that fact alone, I want to be in this baby's life. It doesn't matter who the father is, I don't care. You don't have to tell me whom the father is if you don't want to.
Elizabeth just started crying even harder as Carly and Sonny started crying as well.
Jason looked up at Sonny and Carly and then back down to Elizabeth.
"Ok, I get why Elizabeth is crying, but why are you guys crying?"

"Well..." Dillon said with a smile on his face. "..It’s called Oklahoma and its about these two people that really like each other but won't admit it. It's set back in old times. The girl's name is Laurie and she lives with her aunt. And the guy's name is Curly and he is a cowboy who is very macho. And at the time Cowboys and Farmers didn't like each other or get along. Anyway, it has a lot to do with this big party called the Box Social and Curly was going to ask Laurie to it, but out of spite she told Jud, he hired hand, she'd go with him. Granted, that it was to make Curly jealous, Curly still believed that she didn't want to go with him and went to the party with her Aunt. On the way to the party, Jud tries to kiss Laurie and she doesn't want that so she kicks him out of the carriage and rushes to the party to look for Curly and-" Dillon stopped talking when he saw Georgie smiling at him.
"What?" He asked.
"Nothing it’s just your whole face lights up when you talk about movies."
"People say that my face also lights up when I talk about you."
"They do?" She asked as his face kept getting closer to hers.
"Well yeah. They all say that that's how they can tell that I'm in love with you."
"What?" Georgie asked, shocked as she pulled back.

Carly and Sonny looked at each other, wondering what they should say to Jason.
Elizabeth noticed the looks between Sonny and Carly, and the realization hit her like a ton of bricks.
"Oh my god." Elizabeth said quietly.
"You told Sonny didn't you?" Elizabeth yelled accusingly at Carly.
Carly's head dropped in guilt. "I don't think he will tell." She said quietly.
"Not tell? He probably can't wait to tell." Elizabeth said with a laugh.
"Elizabeth..." Sonny said. "You can trust me, I-"
"I can trust you? Yeah right." She said sarcastically. "Can I trust you when the next blonde that claims to be your sister comes along?"
"Courtney may be my sister by blood, but in my heart, you’re my sister Elizabeth."
"Aww, that's so sweet." Carly said as she started to cry. She reached for Elizabeth as her eyes teared up and the three of them hugged, forgetting about a very confused Jason that seemed to get even more mad as the seconds went by.
"Ok, I want to know right now." Jason said in an icy tone. "What the hell is going on? Carly what did you tell Sonny that made Elizabeth mad?"

"You- you love me?" Georgie asked, shocked. "Dillon...- Why- Why didn't you tell me?"
"Because I was scared. I didn't know what you would say or do if I told you I loved you."
"I love you too Dillon." She said with a smile. "But..." She said as he frowned. "We have a lot we need to work out. It's not going to be fixed overnight. And if you’re willing to work, so am I."
Dillon smiled. "I want to try. I want to be the man you need, want and can fall in love with again. I also want to be a good father to Tyler.
"Okay Dillon, as long as your willing to try, then I'll try too. But this does not mean that I trust you again."
"How come you forgave me so easily?"
“I’ve been over it for a while, I just didn’t tell you that. I forgave you a while ago, because I loved you so much and I decided I needed you in my life and that I'd need to get past my anger to have a future that would include you in it."
"How very grown up of you, Georgie."
"Thank you Dillon. I love you."
"I love you too, Georgie." Dillon said as he gave her a hug.
"Georgie he doesn't really love you." A voice said from the entrance to the living room.
Dillon and Georgie looked up and were very surprised at who they saw standing there with an angry expression of their face.
