i think that once we realize how much we REALLY owe our parents-- especially our mothers- we'll never really even want to say "uff" to them.
keep this hadith in mind for the next 10 days -whenever you interact with your mom and dad and inshallah you'll find yourself giving them the respect they deserve habitually...
(in my own words) once a man came to the Prophet (SAW) and told him that he had taken his mom for umra and helped her perform it by carrying her on his back. had he fulfilled his duties to her?
the Prophet's (SAW) response was No--- how could he repay her when she had carried him around for 9 months?
if we remember all the sacrifices our mothers made for us when we were young-- and try to repay even a fraction of them.. we'll realize that we are forever indebted.
or we can wait till we are parents ourselves and our children mistreat us coz we mistreated our parents. the punishment for this sin is given in this world too remember- never mind the hereafter!
