Hi all, I've just discovered the reason why my Rhino Roof Racks have never quiet fitted properly..... I was sold the wrong ones! I've had them for about 2yrs now and have always been disappointed with their fit to the door jamb. (where the clamp hooks over the inside). When I bought them I fitted them in the carpark and got one of the guys there to check I'd put them on right as I wasn't quite happy with the fit. I was assured that they were the correct racks and that was how they were meant to fit. Finally got around to calling up Rhino's head office and was advised that yes I was sold the model racks. The shop sold me racks for a hilux (model # RSS49) instead of a 4runner/surf (model # RSS4 It's 2yrs since I bought the racks and the shop I bought them from was in Brisbane (I'm in Sydney now) so I can't get them replaced. I can shorten the front rack myself, but the clamp kit to suit a 4runner/surf is $84.00! ouch. Does anyone know where I might be able to get the clamps at a cheaper price? or does any one have a set of racks they want to sell? Just thought somebody else may have had this problem and wondered why their racks didn't fit so well. Cheers, Matt.
