Name: Rafael "Rafa" Sabino

Rafael has a medium build; he is 5' 11" and weighs about 150 lbs. Rafael gets his build from years of training.
Rafael's hair is normally between a brown and black and is pretty short. Its style isn’t styled either; he just lets it stay however it is when he wakes up. His eyes are an emerald green that matches the small tattoo of a dog paw on his left shoulder blade.
Rafael's usual apparel is a red muscle shirt with some blue jeans. He’ll sometimes wear open-toed sandals or tennis shoes. It’s a rarity, but if needed Rafael will wear a school uniform like suit.
Personality: Rafael was born and raised with almost no boundaries so that’s how he lives his life. When put under restriction Rafael can get rather frustrated and sometimes angry. He loves to poke fun at people, but is never serious when he makes fun of someone. He can come of as a jerk but really he's just used to have too good of a time.
When someone not superior to him tries to act like they are he gets rather defensive and will retaliate by pushing that person around. Rafael is rarely clam or quiet, but when he is, it’s because he knows he has to be serious. Rafael loves to make friends and is willing to be friends with just about anyone. He is any easy to talk to person and is dependable when needed.

Rafael's male side of the family has the ability to "shape shift" into sme form of an animal/animals. It is unknown where they got this ability. This ability is limited to a person's control of the power. If Rafael has too little control of his power and tries to turn into something that he cant become yet he will he will render himself unconscious.(ex. him trying to turn into a bear when he can only become a dog he will instantly black out.) Another downside to his ability is that sometimes when returning to his human state he will keep some animal characteristics for a short period of time(a few days at the most).(Example, the effect kicks in when returning from his dog state, he will have a dog tail, dog-like hair, and dog ears poking out at the top of his head.{a good example is Inuyasha}when stuck in this form, any animal characteristics he has act like an animals, so for the ears, he would have dog-like hearing) A big bonus to this ability is that he takes on the abilities of whatever animal he is when in an animal state.

Rafael's other ability is one that only he has in his family. It is the ability to speak to and understand animals. His control over this ability limits a lot. With almost no training with this ability it’s just like just learning a foreign language and trying to speak to someone who fully understands it. With time, he will be able to understand more and speak more than on "animal language" at a time.
History: Rafael was born and raised in a small village in Brazil. His family was praised by the villagers as "guardians sent from god" because of their unique talent. The older men in the family were always able to change into very strong animals, fending the village off from trespassers. Rafael always looked up to his elders and wanted to follow in their footsteps.
At the time Rafael was too young to begin training, so his parents tried sending him to school. He would go to school, but as soon as his parents were gone he would skip out and play with his older friends until nightfall when he would have to return home. He didn’t have to worry about getting bad grades due to a friend of his. His friend in elementary through middle school would do all of Rafael's work for him while Rafael would leave school for fun. Little did Rafael know, it would eventually catch up to him.
Once Rafael reached the age of 12 it was time for him to begin his training. After two short months Rafael's training was halted when his family realized he didn’t have the basic education he should've received in school. His parent found out he hadn’t been going to school and then had to spend the next four years almost non-stop educating him.
This education process for Rafael was a lot harder for Rafael because he was older. His mind didn’t soak in as much information as a child's mind does and so it was a lot harder for him to comprehend certain things. At the age of 16 he was finally ready to move on to high school, but he would need true training before he left his country. At the age of 17 Rafael had final completed his family's basic training and was sent off to high school.
