a recap of a show did last night
La Tv Highlights
- joy talks about herself and what she has done so far. things like working with babyface, how she's so young and wants to do a lot of things, and how she sang solo at her kindergarten class.
- joy mentioned that her album drops in august (new date again) but apparently this is solid since it came from her. the reason behind this new release explains joy is that "i plan to release my album overseas first, then release my next single here and then promote the album the rest of the year".
- the show world premiered joy's video for "shake up the party". the concept was a beach party with LOTS of dancing and joy of course lol. the video was directed by nick eagan (who directed alanis morissette's first video). i must say though that the song sounded much differently than the import version in that it has more guitar and acoustics in the background music. very nice! joy said it was the first time she had seen it herself so it really was a "premiere" lol!
- joy then explained her plans about her release of the album. "what do you want from me" is the next single off the US release and it's written by beyonce knowles of destiny's child. she indicated that everyone in her family agreed on this song as the next single. after which, in august, comes the highly anticipated album (FINALLY!) with brand new songs produced by emilo estefan, rodney jerkins, and a new song by babyface which i think is a bonus track.
- a fan asked her about how she felt about being a good role model to young latinas like her and she replies with "yes, because i'm latina as well. i want to inspire latinas/latinos and just about everyone with my music."
- the show played her first video "tell me how you feel".
- joy promised to keep the show informed on her whereabouts in the future so this could be a show to watch if you live in the LA area and are a joy enriquez fan. it's channel 57 (KJLA) and it's a public access show every wednesday at 8 pm to 10 pm.
- as the show closed, the host talked to joy about what kind of guys she likes and she goes "i like the shy types ..the ones that don't make eye contact". she also told the viewers that joy will be on the bold and the beautiful tomorrow the 15th and next monday the 18th with another appearance at a show called "resurrection blvd" which i have no clue to what that is but i'll find out for you guys!
notes and highlights -- very good interview that lasted more than 45 mins. lots of information came from this show and most of them came from joy herself. and joy looked very "sexy" in her attire i might add lol. definitely a "hottie"
