climbing new heights (Rayd)
Stella stretched out on the smooth rock she had found, letting the sun’s warmth sink into her thin frame. Her breathing was slightly heavy, and her legs ached. She had jogged out onto the grounds and had headed for the tallest landmark in sight, the impressive mountain that loomed over the school campus.

She lay on the flat stone relaxing. Stella felt washed out, and she knew the feeling was not from her run. She stretched her arms, and pushed a stand of white hair out of her blue eyes, taking the scenery. The clouds seemed to lie at her feet, she had run up so high.

“I suppose I should use this time wisely,” she murmured to herself, and rose with a sigh. “I need to work on my aim anyway,” she reasoned. “Best to do it away from crowds.” She absorbed a last moment of sun, and then raised her hands, palms pointed at the sky. Her eyes began to darken, taking on a midnight hue. Her hair began to stir as if a breeze was planning with it. Above her head, in the middle of the blue sky, a circle of night began to expand, growing to black out the surrounding area.

Stella glanced up, frowned slightly, and then looked for a suitable target. Choosing a rock 8 feet from her, she pointed her right index finger. A tiny light shot forth, missing the rock to hit a tree standing nearby. The small star lodged into the wood, burning a hole right through it. “Damn.” Stella whispered, and began to aim again.

Re: climbing new heights (Rayd)
Suddenly, darkness... Rayd looked to the sky as night began to fall.

"No way... That's not right."

Rayd said as he ceased his training, looking around to see exactly why night had fallen upon him. His pupils and iris returned to his eyes as he activated his vision powers, using them to see another location.

"It's still daylight... Could this be somebodies power?"

His powers were then focused on the mountain area, quickly scanning across the landscape for another person who would have more than likely been responsible for the sudden shade of night. Suddenly, his vision focused on a person, a girl, who seemed to be training, unphased by the night...

"It must be her."

Rayd said as he teleported closer to her, about a ten meter distance behind her in fact, watching her as she trained, not saying anything as his eyes returned to their original state, iris and pupils disappearing, just leaving white. Rayd then covered them with his sunglasses and continued to observe.

... I have risen. In this time of Need...

Stella bit her lip in frustration. No matter how carefully she pointed, her stars never hit the intended target. Three trees surrounding the rock she was trying to hit now bore smoking holes, courtesy of her bad aim. Stella sat down on the leaf scatted earth, her head spinning. She was over doing it, she knew. She lent back until she was lying on the ground, and raked a hand through her white hair

“What am I doing wrong?” she asked herself softly, her eyes fading from indigo back to bright blue. “I really need some help with this.” She frowned slightly, staring up into the false night she had created. “Hope no one minds night coming early over the mountain,” she murmured, a smiled touching her lips. “just a minute more, then I’ll try again,” she told herself.
