Hmm...well, I did like Kieris so I guess I give him the benefit of the doubt as far as motivation goes. ^^; He seems like a nice guy who really cares about people, so I imagine he freed Kalin because it was The Right Thing To Do and thought that Kalin deserved to be free. Then again, maybe he didn't feel that way at all, maybe he only wanted to impress Serissa and was just freeing Kalin to deal with a guilt complex because he was the one who ended up with Riss. But I like to think he did it because he's a nice guy. ^^
