eye dialation
well today before school i had to go for my yearly appointment with the eye doc and it went ok, nothings wrong and ill see for another year.
Now im at school and for once its sunny in spring in the pacific northwest, of course im wearing my sunglasses because of the dialation. but every damn time i go outside its a new adventure in pain. My eyes feel like they want to saparate from their nerves with a dull jagged blade.
i know weak rant but its annoying plus we have flourescent lights here and school and they reflect off all the surfaces
great i have autoshop later and its my turn to do the spot welding test : )

Yeah, I hate having my eyes dilated, but I kinda like the huge pupil look after an hour or two when you can see without pain and blurriness again.
And today is beautiful, isn't it? Nice and sunny. I can see Ranier from my office. =)

My daughter had her second eye appointment today. Shes only 10 weeks old so if anyone has ever seen "A Clockwork Orange", and remembers the scene where Alex is being forced to watch all the violent movies, well that's what they have to do to her eyes along with dilation to do the exam. It's not really pleasant for anyone involved, I'm actually sorta glad I had to work today, and my wife took her.

Speaking of sun in the PNW, today was a fine, fine day to be watching the Mariners' game. Sure they lost 8 to 2 but the sun was shining, and it was plenty warm out. Being as my watching was corporate sponsored as was my alcohol consumption it was hell of a great day.
The only time I ever had my eye dilated was when I scratched the lens of one of them. I never got to see what it was like though because I had to wear a patch because of it. But I'll assume it is as pleasant as having other things dilated, in other words not very.

My eyes look really cool when the pupils are dilated - I have a jade green iris with a darker, almost emerald green ring around the outside of the iris... you can see both thin rings around the big black enlarged pupil... it's just cool.
I'll have to have someone take a picture next time I go to the eye doctor and when I don't have to see for a few hours afterwards, because that flash will effectively blind me for a while.

Yes, it's just friggin peachy. End of April and we've got 4-8 inches of snow outside. Oh well. I guess that's better than having 1/2 the state burned up in wildfires.
