Re: TerrorOZ! February 2003 News Update.
HI THERE STEVE AND THANK YOU AGAIN FOR THE ADVICE!!!!!

I HAVE WRITTEN 2 CHAPTERS THIS FAR AND WHEN I STARTED I LEFT THE TIME BEHIND AND NOW I AM GOING TO DO MORE, I DIDNT REALIZE HOW LONG I HAD WRITTEN LAST NITE TILL BOUT 7 AM THIS MORNING.

WELL I KNOW HOW I GOT IT ALL WORKED OUT IN MY MIND AND HOW THE PLOT GOES AS WELL AS THE CONFLICTED CHARACTERS THEY R ALWAYS FIGHTING AND BUTTING HEADS LOL, BUT SERIOUSLY THE 1 THING I SNT SEEM TO GET DOWN IS A DESCRIPTIVE PLACE LIKE WHERE THEY R AT THE TIME, I HAVE READ MY BOOKS OVER FOR A FEW IDEAS BUT I REALIZED IT AT TIMES IS MOSTLY MADRE UP PLACES AND I CANT FIGURE OUT HOW TO DESCRIBE A BEAUTIFFUL PLACE IN TIME THAT U CAN VIRTUALLY SEE WHEN U READ THJAT REALLY REALLY BITES THE BIG ONE:lol

OK SO TELL ME STEVE WHAT IS ISLAND ABOUT AND Y DO THE PPL UP HERE THINK I AM NUTS WHEN I MENTIOND HIS NAME AND URS THEY LOOKED AT ME LIKEI WAS CRAZY.

WHEN I WRITE U KNOW SOMETHING IT IS LIKE I AM READING AGAIN, IN ANOTHER PLACE OR TIME AND I LOVE IT AS WELL AS THE FEELING OF BEING ABLE TO DRAW FROM MY OWN EXPERIENCES AND ADD THEM TO THE WORK.:) :smokin :evil :hat

Hi Nancy,

The best thing to do for locations is to actually find some. All the locations in my books exist. That's half the battle. If you find a place you can use, you can take photos or video or just sit there and soak up the atmosphere and surroundings. It's the best way to use real places that you've been to as you can relate to them and describe them much better.

Go to RLK! and read the blurb for Island - I don't want to spoil it for you ;) but it IS a great book. Don't worry about how people look - I get that all the time! Hehehe.

Just keep writing, Nancy.

HI Nancy,

All my settings are taken from around me in everyday life. They're the easiest to visit and go back to so you can study them. You don't have to go overseas or to another country. Start at home. Your general neighborhood should be fine for your novel. Take a drive, a cycle, a walk, and look for a second time...
