*Azura, who happened to be rather startled and shocked from the sudden events, managed to get out through a nearby window and then onto the roof of the building, but not without injury. But she's too busy to notice her shoulder, she's casting a spell which enables her to see the events below*
Azura: What does he think, I could just leave him like that? No way...I've lost way to much to start loosing again... *looks through the now clear roof of the pizza place* Where is he? *She notices Zach outside, hurt and heading back. She then sees the Agents with guns ready* ~Damnit! He's hurt, what does he think he's doing?!~ *Azura begins to concentrate and winces as she mutters a few words. As the Agents begin to fire, the bullets richochet off an invisible forcefield, narrowly missing each agent as the fall to the ground.* Azura: ~Yes!! It worked!~ Ha, lets see how long you stay in there! *she staggers getting down from the roof, but runs up to Zach quickly while holding her injured shoulder* Zach, you're hurt! We'd better get outta here... before that shield breaks... it will only hold them for another minute or two!

The latter is immeasurably worse to have.~ (Zach whispers a few words, and a swirl of blue light forms around them. When it dissipates, they are inside an abandoned subway terminal.) |

Re: Run...run far away...just forget me... Zach: ~Dammit. I think I've done it again....dragged another person into the swirl of problems that is my life. Is the Lovecraft gene coded to make us screwups, or is it just me?~ (gives a sad half-smile) They won't find us here. You can stay if you like...I'll donate a blanket. (realizes she's staring at him funny, and blushes.) Shoulda mentioned....this is my house. Sorry if it's a little messy. (Gestures to the subway terminal/ one-room apartment that he lives in.)

Re: Run...run far away...just forget me... *Azura looks around again and gives a warm smile* Azura: S'ok. This place is actually quite homey compared to the harsh desert where I lived. You don't have to worry about a sandstorm here, thats for sure! *She holds out a hand and snaps her fingers. Suddenly a small, orangish orb appears in her hand. On closer inspection, it reveals a view of the desert where she lived. She has a distant, sad smile as she looks into it then back to Zach* And thanks, I don't mind staying here at all, if you're sure you don't mind. I really don't have a place to go anyways, besides Shadow's. Which reminds me, I wonder how Quetz is doing... Shadow's going to be wondering whats happened too, she doesn't trust me walking around this huge city, especially since I haven't even been here for a whole month. How long have you been living in this city?

(looks at the orb for a moment) I've lived in this city for at least 8 months now...and I've seen many strange things...and for some reason, it's beginning to feel like home. Or at least a replacement to the home that I lost...so I understand how you feel. ( He looks into her eyes for a few moments, then realizes he's staring and blushes again.) ~What's wrong with me? Normally I'm Mr. Calm around girls...but Azura...~

Azura: *notices Zach staring at her then realizes she's staring right back and blushes* ~Such a strange feeling... when I look in his eyes, it feels as if I'm already home~ Then I'll stay here. *smiles* You can bring Quetz here...if you feel like having a know-it-all, smart-witted snake around. How would you manage to get him here without actually going to get him anyways? *She averts her gaze to the small orb and her eyes get a watery look* It may sound strange, but I do miss it...even if I'd never go back. My whole life was there, and I took trips to the Digital World whenever I felt alone or depressed, with Quetz always there for me. *shakes her head and closes her hand. When she opens it, the orb is gone*

Zach is visibly a bit more tired after having used the spell so much in one day.) Zach: That's my standard teleportation spell...which I've dubbed the Blue Light. The others I have tend to be a bit more....unpredictable. (grins and blushes) ~Damn, there it is again...~

I've also done a transportation spell...once. The outcome wasn't so great though, aheh. I ended up transporting Quetz and I to the middle of the Pacific...when I was aiming for a small oasis about a mile away from where we were. *She looks into Zach's eyes for a minute and a concerned look suddenly appears on her face* Maybe you shouldn't use your Blue Light spell again Zach...you look like you've had enough spell casting...

Azura: *her eyes go wide at the sight of the injury* Zach! There is no way that you'll be fine with an injury like that!
~I heard the agents fire a couple times at him, one shot must have hit him...~ You are either gonna stay here, rest, and fix that up; or hightail it to the hospital. You can forget about your transportation spell, you use that again you'd probably be knocked out!

Nothing, that's what! I guess if you are to stubborn to do anything, I hope you don't mind if I have to! *She stands back, closes her eyes and chants a few strange words. Within moments, Zach's leg has stopped bleeding and the pain diminishes a bit. Azura leans back against the wall breathing hard, but looks up to Zach and grins*
