Kitty sat in class, not paying attention to anything that really happened around her. She faintly heard the door open and snapped awake from her daydream, to see a new kid standing there. She smiled at him, he seemed nice enough.

She felt her ears point forward toward the noise of the teacher talking.

Oh dear, I'm shifting again...oh well, everyone else is used to it. But what will that kid think?

She notes the empty desk next to her.

What if he sees my cat ears? what will I do?

Kitty tried to flatten the protruding ears on top of her head, making them not so obvious, or so she hoped.

The school was idyllic, set perfectly. And here was the home of the Digidestined. When one grew out of what their parents would always call "that phase", another one was called to take their place. The woman smiled. Her hair fell in black curls and waves around her, her lips had been painted black to match her nails and eyes. Her skin, however, was perfectly white, so white it had grey instead of pinkish tones. She reached out and put a hand over the image. "Such energy...." The man looked much the same, but with shortish curly black hair, eyes, his mouth the same white as the rest of him and his nails were bitten and rough. They stared together at the image of the school and slowly smiled. And because there must be a fade-out to change scenes, there is one. Along with dramatic music. And we cut to the new kid. It was his first day in school and he'd only just walked up to the steps and was already getting weird looks. His hair spiked out all over the place, blond with blue tips. He was chewing on his bottom lip nervously, his backpack slung over one shoulder, glancing around. A muffled noise came out of his backpack and he hissed to it to be quiet. Then caught someone staring at him, blushed bright red, and kept moving. "way to make a good freakin' impression, Dustin," he muttered to himself. He checked his notesheet and made his way to homeroom, hoping no one would be unduly interested in him. He was sure they would be. Everyone always was, mainly because of his eyes. His eyes were white. Absolutely pure white, with no difference between the whites and the iris, only the black pupil changed anything. His skin was just tan enough tomake the contrast more noticeable. He blinked, looked around, and walked into homeroom late. And stopped just inside the class, staring wide-eyed at them all. Twenty kids in homeroom.... and the teacher staring at him.

His Japanese wasn't incredibly good, but it was understandable. He understood more than he could speak. Of course, for translation purposes, the teacher's voice comes out in English. "Well, then. You must be Mr. Kazuo. Class, this is our new student, Dustin Kazuo. What an unusual name..." Dustin already was blushing, staring at the ground, mumbling, "My Mother is American..." The teacher simply sent him to his seat and Dustin prayed Nairosmon in his backpack wouldn't make any noise today. He sat down next to the girl who seemed to be trying to cover the side of her head and stared down at his desk for a second before taking out a notebook and pencil. Turning to her, wanting to make a good impression, and smiling shyly, uncertainly. This was his last chance. After the third school in a year, his mother had said. Last chance before homeschooling...

And he just... shrugged, and smiled. It wasn't like he could call her a freak or anything. His own eyes had frightened people. Oh no.... will Mom remember me when i get home? He just sat there, not realizing he was still looking at kitty. "Excuse me, Kitty, I know you're anxious to get to know the new boy, but... could we pay attention to the lesson please?" Everyone buzzed around him, asking him questions about where he had come from, his parents, his name, his -eyes- and that was when Dustin made an excuse about the bathroom and ran from them. He didn't like questions about his eyes. Or parents. He carried his backpack with him. While he was walking, a head poked out of the back of it. "Can we go home yet?" The voice was soft, but deep, and belonged to what looked like a very small wolf with spiral patterns in its skin. It also had cat's eyes and it's tail changed color gradually to red. "Ssshhh... now is not a good time," Dustin muttered, and his digimon obediently slunk back into his backpack. He set it down, and looked around, and... Hey, the nice girl from homeroom. He walked over to her, leaving his backpack against a tree. "H-Hey. You... I never did g-get your name," he said, smiling brightly at her. His digimon watched from inside the backpack.

He fried his own bacon and everything. "Kitty. That's a nice name. I guess you know mine, and all, since the teacher said it... where do you live? Do you live anywhere near downtown?" He tilted his head, watching her with his strange eyes. While his back was turned to the tree, his digimon slowly made its way out of the backpack and slunk behind some bushes to watch.

She was very pleased to have someone to finally talk to; she had been sitting all alone ever since she first arrived at this school a year ago. "So... this is probably a pretty awkward question, but, uh, what's with the ears?" He looked, and the cat ears were gone, and he stopped, confused. Had he been hallucinating in homeroom? No- he was -sure- he'd seen them. "You can ask about my eyes, though there's no real answer to that..." His digimon at this point was sniffing along the ground, following a smell, looking for peanut butter he just -knew- was around here somewhere.

Our loyal viewers will notice they are the couple from the first post... talking to some of the children, who nodded nad pointed in the direction of the bench where Kitty and Dustin had been sitting. "Those two follow me everywhere... they keep trying to get me to join their... 'organization.'" Dustin's eyes wnadered and he caught sight of Nairosmon chasing a butterfly. "Crap."
