-after school-

Kitty reached her small apartment, opening the door and plopping herself on the couch. She exhaled a long sigh and wondered about the boy she had met.

I wonder how he's doing....

She rubbed one eye with a loose fist. As she pulled her hand away, she noticed a flash of black on it.

She brought it back up to her face. Numbers were written on the smooth surface, broken by the lines that allowed her hand to bend as all hands do.

Oh that's right! she thought.

"He wanted me to call him...." she stated to the empty apartment, getting up and heading over to the phone.

She pressed the buttons, matching up the numbers that lay on her palm.

"Will you help us sneak away from them? Distract them, maybe?" He frowned, grabbing a pen out of his bag, writing a number on her hand. "That's my phone number... call me later. Okay?"

The woman and man were both entirely too pale, but there was nothing to give away their existence as anything but human. The woman turned to look at her, lbinking. "Yes? Have you seen this boy?" Holding up a picture of Dustin. Dustin, meanwhile, waited, and snuck off while they were both looking at Kitty.

The man was more obvious about it. He seemed to really be staring at her. the woman looked as though she were really interested in something else. They blinked, catching the blush, giving each other a strange look. "Well? Is he in your class?"

THe bell sounded for lunch to be over, most of the kids running back to class. However, Dustin of course wasn't there for History class. And the teacher wrote out a detention notice.

His mother had forgotten his existence again and convinced herself that the reason the room was decorated like a boy's room was because she was pregnant. He'd had to tell her otherwise. He was trying to read, but he found it hard to do schoolwork. He didn't really care right now. They'd been looking for him again.... He jumped as he heard the phone ring ni the next room.
