Re: The new opening act
Now Mary was worried. What was she going to do? With a baby on the way, and work, last thing she needed was something to worry about something else. Mary sat in her seat for the rest of the plane ride wondering what in the world was happening. When she finally got to Germany, Patrick was there to meet her at the airport. First thing he asked her was…"Well, what is it? A boy, or girl?" Mary was still jet lagged, she had to think first. A, a, a, a, a,….girl! Sorry, Im just tired from the trip, and my head wasn't registering what you asked. Patrick gave her a big hug. OK, now where is Josh she asked. Back at the hotel where we I left him. Patrick said. So, on the way to the hotel, Patrick told Mary everything that has been happening.
Last week, the guys took Josh clubbing to just get his mind off things. Well, that is where he met Kaylie, and well, they've been dating some, but not much. Josh is just so lost, and upset without Katie he is miserable. Finally after a 39-min. ride to the hotel, they got there. Patrick helped Mary get all her things, and they went to the room. Mary put her things away and went to talk to Josh.
Josh, what is going on? "Why are you dating Kaylie!? Are you crazy!? Katie loves you, and you mean the world to her." Mary said. "Then why did she get mad at me, and accuse me of cheating, and all this?" Asked Josh. "You never called her, emailed her, or contacted her. And…you got mad cause she wouldn't sleep with you!! Josh, if you love Katie, you don't get mad cause she won't sleep with you! You respect her wishes, and understand her feelings!" Josh, a relationship is sooooo much more then sex. Give it time! If Katie wants to wait till marriage, then you need to respect that! And if you don't approve of that, then move on. But, if I were you, give Katie time, and get to know her, marry her, and then whatever you two do…then fine. Mary told Josh. After hearing all this, Josh realized how stupid he was acting, and how much Katie met to him. He felt soooo dumb! Josh looked at Mary. "When does the tour start Mary?" Josh asked. "Not for another couple days. We just got you guys here early so you can relax and chill before the tour." Mary said.

"Wait..." Josh said "I only have 1 day dont I?"
"Yeah" Mary said warrily.
"DAMMIT! I dont have enough time.....maybe its for the better...." Josh said sadly.
"JOSHUA MICHAEL HORN!" Mary nearly screamed at him, "What the hell is wrong with you?"
"I dont know anymore...." Josh said sadly, "I'm being an IDIOT I KNOW! Okay....I'll call Katie, and first I'll call Kaylie and tell her were through, and then I will admit to Katie what I did and hope she forgives me...."
"Wait what do you mean, what you did? You only dated Kaylie AFTER you broke up with Katie right?" Mary said very concered.
"We went on one or two dates before we broke up...." Josh said, "I knew it was wrong! I didnt want to but I was just so upset! We didnt even kiss or anything or even hold hands though, it was basically a friend thing!"
"JOSH I CANT BELIEVE YOU! You dont deserve her!" Mary screamed and then said in a very cold tone. She walked off very upset.
Josh didnt know what to do. He really needed to hear those words come from someone elses mouth. He felt so bad. He missed Katie, a lot. And he knew he had been VERY stupid.
This was the last time he even thought about Katie in depth for a while. August and September passed with Natural's tour. Katie made her final track in December. Katie had basically lost contact with everyone except Lisa. Lisa always hung around her and eventually gotta job with her as a backup singer. Katie didnt even hear from Mary much. There was 2 reasons for that. Mary couldnt face Katie with the news she knew, and second, by late Janurary Mary was 5 months pregnant and she was very busy with that! In fact all winter passed, and Natural came home and recorded. They were finishing their 2nd US CD. Katie made it huge with her singles in the US, and by her 17th birthday she was bigger then Britney Spears! In fact it was on her birthday, she got a call from Patrick.
"hello?"
"KATIE KATIE guess what guess what!!!!" Patrick said in a very excited voice.
"What?" Katie said, she had almost forgot that part of her life.
"MARY HAD OUR BABY! Its a girl, she weighed 8lbs 6oz and she was born at noon today and and her name is Anna King, Anny for short. She has my curls and mary's eyes and shes beauitful!"
"Oh Patrick thats wonderful!" Katie said, she was so excited.
"yeah and oh where are you?"
"I'm in Orlando."
"OMG so are we at the St Luke hospital! Come over and see"
"Okay I will."
Katie was excited to see everyone again. However she was not excited that J might be there. Her and J both had not dated anyone (minus Kaylie, and Josh never seen her again after the Mary talk) since each other, and Katie was very lonely, she didnt know it but so was Josh.
When Katie went in she seen Mary in her bed, and Patrick proudly holding his new daughter. She never thought she could see him so happy in her life! Michael was there too, but no Lisa, and so was Ben.
Thankfully no Josh in site!
Everyone stayed and reminicised for awhile.
Then Ben (being the great loud mouth he is) said, "So, have you had any luck with love since Josh?"
Katie kinda got sad then, "No I havent tried I guess...where is J?"
"Oh he already came, but when Patrick called you he" Michael put his hand up to Bens mouth to shut him up, it didnt work ben just moved his hand and finished, "left."
Katie just said oh and went back to looking at the new baby.
"Hey would you like to come out with me and Michael tonight? It is your birthday and we're goin clubbin anyways!" Ben asked happily.
"Sure sounds like fun." katie said.
That night she told Lisa, and invitied her to come. They both went to the club Ben had told them to go to, when all hell broke lose. Right as they entered the club Lisa seen Michael Kissin on some blonde girl.
When Lisa went crying into the bathroom (her and Michael were supposed to get married next month!) Katie had to tell her the truth.
"Lisa?" Katie said quietly.
"WHAT!?!?" Lisa sobbed
"I have to tell you something...."
Lisa was quiet, waiting for her news
"Before Michael got engaged to you, he tried to kiss me, and he did, and i didnt want him to but he forced himself on me, thankfully patrick came and saved me! Lisa I dont think you and Michael are right for each other..."
Lisa broke down crying then.
She walked out and told Michael (right in front of the girl) that they need to talk. Michael went with her. Neither of them came back that night!
"Whelp they'll be gone for awhile!" Ben laughed sadly
"Yeah....so anyways"
Right then as katie said that she heard a voice that sounded familiar to her.
"Run as fast as you can...." sung someone. katie looked on the stage and seen someone who looked really familar (it was a bar/club thing that had live bands perform.)
"Whos that?" Ben asked.
Katie was silent for a second and then she said "OMG thats my old friend! Her name is Kyelly! I havent seen her since I got signed!"
"She's kinda hot" Ben laughed. He had broken up with his girlfriend months ago.
"I'll introduce ya when shes done."
They stayed all night waiting for the performance to end. With every song Kyelly sang Ben seemed to fall more in 'love'
When it was over Katie walked over to the table and said,
"Kyelly!"
"OMG! Katie is that you?" said Kyelly. She looked so suprised.
"Yeah its me! How the hell did you get to flordia?"
"Got me a manager too!" She teased.
Ben just stood behind Katie, trying to look cute while the chit chat and reminisicng went on.
"OMG you met Natural didnt ya?!" Kyelly said
"Oh yeah I did! Speaking of them, this is Ben"
Katie said as she introduced Ben.
The two hit it off quite nicely. Katie made up some excuse that she had to leave. Now Ben was in the situation Josh had been, just met a 16 year old, and he was in love! Now thats sweet irony!
As Katie was leaving she bumped into someone just walking in. It was Josh. It was the first time they'd been face to face since that early August!
Katie wanted to walk off but Josh didnt.
"Hey wait up!" Josh called as he chased her, she was walking fast to her car.
"I dont want to." She said as she slammed her car door and almost ran him over leaving!
Katie took out on her own tour that summer. She kept in touch with Mary again. This time she had Kyelly open for her. Natural also ventured out onto their own tour. Mary quit working for Lou in August. She needed more time to spend with the baby. Thats when Patrick and Marc both decided to quit Natural. Marc quit because he wanted to spend more time with Sarah. Patrick quit because he obviously now had a family.
The autmn passed and Katie took a break. She spent a lot of time with Mary and the new baby and of course Patrick ! That winter Katie went back into the studios to record her new CD.
It was the beginning of November when she began. On December 24th Katie had a last minute recording session in New York City.
She came a little early.
Thats when she came in on a session. She heard a familar voice singing, "I lost it all, and I had no reason to be the way I was, and i dont know why because...."
Katie waited outside the door just listening. Those lyrics almost made her cry and she didnt know why. Then the door opened and a tearful Josh came out. She couldnt believe it!
"oh um...hi." he said suprised. He wiped his tears away quickly.
"Oh umm hi..." Katie said. He was the last person she wanted to see.
"So did you like my new song?"
"Umm yeah it was good." Katie got up before Josh could say anything and went into the studio. Katie and Josh both didnt know what to think. Josh decided he was going to wait and he didnt care how long it took!
Katie recorded a few songs and when she came out there was Josh sitting waiting for her with roses.
"Here..." he said akwardly as he handed her the roses, "I just wanted to say Im sorry for everything I did....and ya know I know tommorow is christmas....but maybe tommorow night you could come over and we could talk a little...." Josh said hopefully.
"I guess..." Katie said, not knowing what to think.
She couldnt spend christmas eve or christmas with her family. She didnt have time to fly back tell the 27th! She went home to her huge mansion and had Cotton greet her. She had kept him....and now she felt even more upset bout Josh. She took a shower and got dressed and ready for dinner with mary and Patrick, and Michael and his new girlfriend Tina. On the 26th all of Natural, including Josh and their wives and girlfriends, were going to have dinner together. She couldnt wait to see Kyelly and Ben. Ben had been producing stuff for Kyelly's new album. They were really in love....it reminded her of Josh and her when they were younger.
Meanwhile Josh drove directly out to the mall as soon as Katie had left. he called Patrick on his cellphone and told him to meet him at Rock's jewlery.
Patrick got there, Anny in toe.
"What did you rush me out for on christmas eve?" Patrick said whinily, "I gotta help Mary finish dinner, Katie and Michael and Tina are coming over tonight."
"Katie is?" Josh said kinda suprised, "well this is kinda bout her..."
"What?" Patrick said suspicious.
"I'm gonna ask her to forgive me, and marry me tommorow." Josh said.
"Are you insane!?!?" Patrick said shocked, "I dont think Katie likes you that way anymore!"
"Yes she does I know she does! I just know it...shes my soulmate patrick," said Josh looking down at the rings sadly, "And I know it and I have loved her and I miss her and....I want to be with her forever."
Patrick sighed and said, "Fine....only because I know you loved her, and you just were an idiot!"
Josh gave him a dirty look and then they looked around for the perfect ring. Josh finally found one that was gold, with a ruby heart in the middle, and two diamonds on the outside. It was quite pricey too!
"Now Patrick," Josh said as they were leaving, "Please dont tell anyone tonight! Not even Mary! You and anny keep your mouths shut!" Josh begged.
"Okay we will wont we anny?" Patrick said hugging his daughter. It was obvious he was a good father. It was also obvious that Josh was a bit invaious of that.
"See ya on the 26th" said Josh
"See ya." Patrick said as him and Anny left.
And then Patrick went home to finish making dinner, and Josh went home to pray that he was right

It was Christmas Eve, and it was Anny’s first Xmas. Patrick and Mary got her a lil velvet sleeper wear that was a bluish green with little red holly on the front, and she looked adorable. Patrick had to put a fence like thing around the Xmas tree cause Anny kept rolling towards the tree. Anny was growing. She was now 7 months old, and trying to get everything. Mary was so excited, it was her first Christmas with Patrick, and Anny. Mary called Katie a week earlier to ask her to come spend Xmas Eve with them. She wanted to see Katie, and have her spend Xmas Eve and Xmas with them, if she could. Of course Katie would. Mary and Patrick were really excited. While Mary was cleaning, Patrick walked through and said to Katie, “You know, it would be nice if Anny had a lil brother or sister to play with, and have around.” Mary then took Patrick to where Anny was sleeping in her basket. “You see this baby Patrick? Mary said. “Yea, why?” Patrick said. “She is going to be the only baby you see around here for a while, so be happy!” Mary said. Patrick just laughed and said…”Sure!” as he walked out of the room. Mary gave Patrick a look saying… Not for a LONG time! Katie and Patrick both laughed, but not Mary. She just said…”You two must think your funny!” Mary and Katie cooked diner, and chatted, while Patrick helped out as well. But he mainly got in the way. Mary looked at Katie and said…”Have you talked to J?” “No, I really am not sure if I should.” I’m trying to get over him, and move on. I don’t feel he really cares for me anymore.” Patrick looked at Katie. “Josh loves you! You mean the world to him! Katie, you need to give him another chance. Josh loves you more then you will ever know! Besides, I feel if you give him another chance, and see how much he loves you, you and he will have a lil one someday.” Mary punched Patrick in the arm as she walked by. Katie looked at Patrick and said…”I really am not sure if I want kids. I know J does and that worries me. I just want my career, and my husband. I am really not into having kids.” Katie said in a quiet tone. “Well, then just explain that to J, he will understand, heck…he may even like the idea. You really should talk to him Katie.” Patrick said.
Back at Js’ house he and his family was having a Xmas party as well. Js’ parents and Billy were all there, and Billy’s family. Josh was excited it was Xmas and he was with his family, but he just couldn’t stop thinking of Katie. Billy could tell J was miserable. Js’ parents weren’t very aware of the whole deal, but they knew J was a lil down. After Js and Billy’s parents went home, J and Billy cleaned up. “You know, you really need to contact Katie! You are unbearable to live with. I can’t even talk to you. You won’t listen! Heck man…You don’t even watch SpongeBob anymore! Man, you need to call and talk to Katie. Tell her you miss her. You want her back, and for goodness sakes! Be understanding. She loves you man! And I know you love her! Billy said. J just looked at Billy. He had no idea what to say, but he knew Billy was right. He just didn’t want to admit it. “ I don’t have her number, I’m not even sure if she is home, and I don’t think she feels the same way anymore.” J said. “Here is her number, she is at Mary’s and Patrick’s and she feels the same!” Billy said. J wanted to call, but he was afraid. Billy said…”We need to get some things from the store, let’s go!” J got his coat and went along. “Hey, the store is the other way...where are you going? J asked. “We’re going to Patrick’s’, and you are gonna talk to Katie, if it kills me! Or I will kill you. Which ever comes first dude.” Billy said. J just sat there, he never said a word. In some way he was glad, but in another…he wanted to kill Billy. When they got there, J couldn’t move, he was frozen to the seat. Billy looked at him and said…”J, if you don’t get out of this car before I count to 5.Im gonna through you out!” J got out, and so did Billy. As they walked to the door, they could hear the music. It was Xmas music. Billy walked up to the door, and he rang the doorbell. Patrick answered it, “Hey Billy wants up? J? Hey, what’s up? Come in…please. Said Patrick. “Hey Mary, Merry Christmas” said Billy. Hey Billy! Merry Christmas!” Mary said as she gave him a hug. Katie came through holding Anny. Umm...J? Katie said in shock. “Hi, Merry Christmas,” “Hi Katie, Merry Christmas. I miss you!” J said. “I’ll take Anny said Mary. “Why don’t you two go sit in the livingroom and talk.” Patrick said. Katie and J went in the livingroom to talk. Billy held Anny while Patrick and Mary set the table.

Katie was reluctant to go she hadn’t even been sure if she was going to go to his house on Christmas let alone if she wanted to see him now.
“Katie,” Josh said as he sat on the couch, Katie was thinking of sitting in the chair, but he looked so upset she didn’t want to be a bitch to him. “Listen I’m sorry….” Josh said as she sat down. “I’m sorry for everything I did to you. I guess I just lost my mind! I was so happy with you and yet I’m the one who lost you! You probably want an explanation…”
“Yeah I do.” Katie said coldly.
“Fine heres everything that happened. I loved dating you. I love you! When you told me that you didn’t want to sleep with me anymore I guess I just took it the wrong way. Anyways then we went to Germany, and you hadn’t come to say goodbye to me and that really hurt me. I mean I was feeling really bad what I did the night before, but I wanted to tell you I was sorry. Anyways then I went to Germany and I was just so lonely. I met Kaylie…. And we went on 1 date before Michael told me you dumped me. We didn’t do anything, not even hold hands. It was just a friend thing. Anyways I’ve missed you. I was devastated when you left me…” Josh trailed off. He was about to cry.
“Well Josh you really hurt me to. I want to move on not go backwards!” Katie said unsettled.
“Katie I’m sorry! And its not going backwards. I love you! You are my soul mate I know it.”
“Josh I need to go.” Katie said very fast as she got up.
On her way out she quickly said goodbye and thanks to Mary, Anny, and Patrick, and Billy.
When she left Josh just broke down crying. Only Patrick knew his intentions.
“Josh whats wrong? What happened?” Mary asked as he came out.
“Oh nothing….we just….yeah Billy lets go.” Josh said trying to choke back the tears.
Billy got up and gave him a hug. “Okay we’ll talk about this.” Billy said worried
When they got in the car Josh just started crying.
“BILLY NEVER DO THAT AGAIN! KATIE IS WRONG FOR ME!!! I was so damn stupid…” Josh screamed.
“Why are you stupid?” Billy asked.
“Because….she doesn’t love me.”
“Yeah she does Josh! Maybe she just wasn’t prepared tonight to talk to you.”
“Maybe….no….she’ll never be prepared…God its been almost 2 years and I can’t get her off my mind.” Josh said sadly.
“Well then we’re fixing this…” Billy said as he did a U turn.
“What are we fixing?” Josh said sadly.
“Something.” Billy said defiantly.
They pulled up in front of a huge white mansion with the gates that said Kalliope on them.
“OH NO! Not again Billy.” Josh pleaded.
“Yes again. You two are so perfect for her and I’m not leaving tell you two are in love again!” Billy said. He just knew it.
Josh really didn’t want to argue, and he had no say anyways so he went along with it. Billy somehow got through the gates. Katie answered the door.
She had been crying it was apparent, she said half sobbing “Billy what are you doing her…?”
She looked around. Billy had his Josh behind him. Billy snuck Josh in and then said,
“Alright,” as he moved so she seen Josh, “You two are going to talk and now that we’re out your house you cant run away! I’m leaving.” Billy said quickly, then he just walked out the door and drove off!!
Katie looked stunned. She didn’t really look mad. Josh said quickly, “I’m sorry Billy has gone a little crazy, so he drove me here. I didn’t want to bug you further. I’ll just leave…” Josh started to turn around.
“No wait!” Katie said quickly. In all the years he’d known her she was always the stubborn one.
“What?” Josh said shocked.
“Here come in here.” Katie lead him into her living room.
“What?” Josh repeated when they got in there.
Katie then shocked him further when she gave him a french kiss. Josh didn’t know what to think! She’d just yelled at him not more then 15 minutes ago! It felt so right though. She stopped and sat down on her couch.
Josh was still pretty shocked! Katie started, “Listen I’m sorry. I guess I’m just mad at myself because I still blame myself for you not loving me anymore.”
“But that never happened! I’ve loved you since I met you, and I never stopped!” Josh said quickly as he sat down beside her.
“In fact,” he got up and got down on his knee, “I wanted to do this tonight but you didn’t give me the chance.” Josh took a ring box out of his pocket, “Will you marry me?”
Katie’s eyes got huge! She really hadn’t expected that. In fact she didn’t even expect to see him again! She thought she had drove him off for good.
“Yes…I will!” Katie said in such a shocked voice. Josh’s eyes got huge. He was scared she was gonna say no. He put the ring on her finger and got up and kissed her.
Josh stayed the night at Katie’s house. Best Christmas eve he had ever had! They just talked mostly. The next day (Christmas Day) they spent together. Josh called Billy and told him he wasn’t coming over. He also called his parents and said he wasn’t coming over for Christmas day dinner.
The next day the both got dressed up and went over to Ben’s house for the late Christmas party. When they got there they were the first people there.
Ben and Kyelly both looked shocked that J and Katie had showed up together.
“What are you two doing here together?” Ben teased. Josh eager to tell someone (in the past two days they’d only told Cotton) held out Katie’s hand and said,
“Looky were engaged!” he said so proudly, Katie just laughed at his eagerness and smiled.
“Whoa that’s a huge ring!” Ben said in shock, “Wait when did you two get back together?”
“Christmas Eve.” They said together.
Kyelly, one to show off too, showed her finger and said, “Look Ben got me a promise ring for Christmas.”
“Whoa Ben that looks bigger then Katie’s ring!” Josh said. It was a huge ring, it was in the same format as Katie’s, but it had a purple heart in the middle, and the stones were smaller.
“Yeah well I like to show my love how much I love her.” Ben smiled.
The doorbell rang and next came Sarah and Marc. Sarah was about 2 months pregnant and Marc was just as excited as Patrick had been. He didn’t stop bragging for a minute.
Next came Michael. He was alone.
“What happened to Tina?” Marc said stopping his bragging for a second.
“She left me a few days ago…” Michael said sadly.
“Why?” Josh asked.
“Because she was cheating on me…she got pregnant with that guy.” Michael said sadly.
“Oh Michael you are dis single?” Sarah asked.
“Yes I guess…” Michael said not to happily.
“Den you should meet my friend Kaylie…she vill be at vi and Marc’s house later tonight. She is lonely too.”
“Fine…I’ll come.” Michael said kinda emotionless.
Josh and Katie both kinda looked not thrilled about that name, but they were far over that!
Next came Mary and Patrick.
“Sorry we’re late everyone! But Anny had to finish her nap” Said Mary as Patrick took Anny out of her carrier.
Mary went over to where all the girls we’re sitting and asked if Katie was okay.
“Yeah I’m fine in fact,” Katie said as she held out her hand, “Josh and me are engaged!” She beamed.
“OMG! I thought you two hated each other!” Mary said shocked
“Nope we’re in love.” Katie said happily.
The party went well. Even though the band had broke up, the guys were still good friends. The girls stayed and talked about the engagement ring and Anny. Marc, Sarah, and Michael were the first to leave. Michael thought it was gonna be a rotten time, but when he got there he remet Kaylie and fell in love.
Mary had worried about Anny so much, cause she was so small, Anny was her first baby, and Mary was just a concerned mother. Patrick finally took Anny and sat in the rocking chair so she would go to sleep. Anny was getting cranky, and tired. Finally Anny fell asleep. Patrick laid her back in her car seat, and where she could sleep. Katie and Mary were sitting in the kitchen admiring the ring, and talking about the wedding. Patrick walked in laughing saying, “You have been engaged for only 15 min, and you two are already planning!” Mary looked up and said, “I love you, but, shut up!” Patrick grabbed Mary and gave her a kiss. “Love you to”, he replied. Katie just laughed at Mary and Patrick. “It is getting late, and we need to get Anny home. So, you think we better leave? Patrick asked. Yea, it is almost 12:30am, we better get ready.” Mary replied. Mary and Patrick got their stuff, and Patrick put Anny in the car. As they went home, Patrick said, “Mary I love you, and you and Anny made my Christmas. Thank you.” Mary looked over at Patrick and replied, “I love you, and thank you. You made my Christmas, and so did Anny.”
Katie and Josh were the last to leave. When they got home they finally made up fully. Alls they had done for the past few days was talk.
They were getting ready to go to bed, but decided to kiss instead. That turned into a little more then kissing, then a little more then making out. “Katie we should stop, you want to wait tell were married right?” Josh said. He kept his mind this time (the first time any man in the universe had let alone could !) Katie kissed him and said, “Nah, we haven’t been together for almost two years, I think we can make an exception tonight.” Josh asked once again if she was sure, and she assured him he was.
The next morning Katie had to leave. She could fly out to her parents that day, and she hadn’t seen them since her mom’s birthday last March! She woke up at 6 and Josh woke up at 7 when she had just got out of the shower.
“Morning honey, what are you getting up for?” Josh asked groggily.
“I have to catch a plane to my mom’s house. Remember I told you on Christmas day. My plane leaves in an hour and a half” Katie said as she hurriedly got her jeans on.
“Oh, I’m gonna miss you.” Josh said sadly.
“Well I’m sorry but I’ll be back on the 20th.”
“THE 20th?” Josh said shocked. He didn’t remember that part!
“Oh I’m sorry I thought I mentioned it! I’m gonna spend time with my family tell then.” Katie said apologetically
“Oh…well you know, we are engaged, and you did record your first demo in Iowa, could I come? I could do my work there!” Josh pleaded. Katie hadn’t really thought of that. In all the years they’d been together she had never introduced him to her parents.
“Well where I recorded was in the other part of Iowa, and I’m not going to my Grandma’s tell the 10th.” Katie said kinda scared. Her family was crazy she didn’t want them to drive Josh off!
“Please? I’ll make arrangements.” Josh said getting up a little.
“But you don’t have…”Katie began as Josh interrupted.
“ticket? I can take Lou’s private plane. We both can.” He said with a smile.

True to his word Josh got the plane in no time. Katie was scared out of her wits.
“Now Josh promise you’ll love me no matter what my family is like.” Katie said kinda off topically.
“What? Why wouldn’t I love you?” Josh said with a little laugh and gave Katie a kiss.
“Well their crazy they might scare you off! I mean when mom and her now husband Jared were dating I used to tease them all the time and mom swore she would get me back when she could!" Katie said concerened. Josh just laughed and said,
"Well since were getting married I want to know everything. Tell me bout your family and what their like."
Katie hesitated but said relucatntly, "fine. First theres my mom and jared. See my parents divorced when I was 8 and then when I was 16, just a little before I met you, mom and Jared got married. Jared had had two kids, Jenslee and Tristan. My full sisters are Brittni, and Abby, and I have a half sister named Chloe from my moms other marrige to a different guy. She lives with my family now. Anyways then theres Grandma and Grandpa and dad....and okay there just all crazy!" Katie said paranoid, "Mom is funny, but she's gonna get me back I just know it! Jared is a real sweet guy and he's nice. Brittni is now 15 and shes annoying, but she'll try to embarass me too I just know it! And Abby is 9 and Jenslee is 8. There just plain annoying all around! Tristan and Chloe are 6. Chloe is a doll and Tristan is too. Then theres Jenny shes 3 years old now, shes our puppy remember?" Josh nodded. He wanted to laugh because his fiancee seemed so bent on her family behaving. "Also just a warning bout my home town. Its late December so its gonna be really cold and snowy, and the town is REALLY small. Theres like a mall with 2 stores, and a wal mart, and a burger king, and thats about the whole town!" Josh was thrilled at that, "I've never really been to a small town! And is there really gonna be snow?" He asked excitdley.
"Yeah..." Katie said hesistantly.
"Thats wonderful! I love snow I havent seen much of it since Germany though."
That made Katie relax a little. Cotton was with them, he was excited too .
When the plane pulled into the airport, they were in Des Moines. "Hey I remember here...is this Spencer?" Josh asked confused.
"No.." Katie laughed, "I wish! We're in Des Moines. Its about 5 hours tell we get to Spencer."
"Can I drive?" Josh asked excited. It had snowed in Des Moines and he was anxious to see the rest of Iowa.
"You've never driven in snow" Katie said.
"First time for every thing." Josh pleaded.
Katie let him but she was worried. She could barely drive on snow!
After a slip sliding start Josh got the hang of it. He hadnt been a road trip like this since before him and Billy had gotten signed.
"So are you exicted?" Josh asked Katie. She was half asleep.
"huh? about what?"
"bout everything....the wedding....seeing your family..."
"Oh yeah...well the wedding part...not my family!" Katie said bluntly.
"Oh honey admit it you love your family otherwise you wouldnt be spending so much time with them!"
"I love them but they're going to be the death of me!" Katie said.
When Josh finally made his way to Spencer he was really excited. When they got there Katie had to direct him to where her family lived.
"Wait!" Katie said before they turned on the street.
"What?" Josh said as he stopped the car.
"Why dont we go to get something to eat before we go? I need a little more time to prep for my family."
"Okay where do we go?" Josh asked. He loved this small town.
"Here lets switch and I'll drive."
"Oh....okay."
Katie drove them to the mall and they went to the chinese place. Josh looked around confused and said, "This is really a mall?"
Katie just laughed and said, "Hardly. But yeah it is."
As they were eating chinese food Josh said, "Actually I like this town. I'm just kinda nervous to meet your family. I want them to like me." He said quietly.
"They'll like you. They just dont like me!" Katie said in her tone.
They were almost done eating when Brittni and Jay (Brittni's boyfriend) walked by. Katie didnt see them, because they were behind her. Josh had no clue who they were.
"Katie?" Brittni said questioningly.
Katie turned around scared out of her wits, "Brittni?!?"
"Katie!!!" Brittni hugged her, "What are you doing here? Dont you love us?"
Katie just laughed and said, "Yeah I do me and um Josh just stopped to get something to eat, I figured mom would cook some pot roast crap or something."
"You figured right. Whos this?" brittni said
"Oh umm...this is Josh, Josh this is Brittni and um Jay, Jay and brittni this is Josh." Katie said introducing them.
"Which one is Brittni again?" asked Josh a bit confused
"She's my sister." Katie said
"Oh hi!" Josh said as he got up to shake her hand.
"Your tiny, I like that!" Brittni teased.
Jay meanwhile stood perplexed behind Brittni
"Are you from Natural?" Jay asked.
"Yeah I was." Josh said
"OMG! I'm a huge fan can I have your autograph?" Jay said. Josh didnt ever encounter to many male fans.
"Sure." He said as he signed a cd cover Jay had with him.
"Can you give us a ride home?" Brittni asked.
"I guess." Katie said.
In the car Brittni played 20 questions with Josh.
"So why is he here?" Brittni asked.
"Because hes my boyf...I mean fiancee`." Katie said.
Brittni gasped, "HE IS? Wow mom's gonna have fun with him!"
"Shut up!" Katie said.
"Is he gonna sleep in your room?" Brittni teased.
"Well I was hopeing..."
"Yeah so you can have sex!" Brittni teased loudly
Josh's face just turned red. So did Katies.
"No not so we can...yeah...anyways shut up otherwise I wont give you that eminem autograph I have in the trunk."
Brittni's eyes got huge. She loved eminem.
"It'll cost you his phone # to have me leave you alone the whole time!"
"Its on there." Katie said.
Brittni beamed.
When they got to the house Katie gave Josh a kiss. She needed strength to get through this!
When they walked in the door Katie put Cotton down as Jenny ran to great them. Jenny didnt know how to react to another puppy in the house! They ran off together. Katie smelled the pot roast cooking. Jenslee, Abby, Chloe, and Tristan ran out
"Mommy, daddy!" They said excitdly. When they seen it was Katie and Josh and Brittni (they had dropped Jay off earlier) Jenslee said, "oh your not mommy and daddy! They were gonna bring us back ice cream for dinner tonight!"
"Well I'm sorry" Katie said. Her and Josh walked in and Josh put their luggage down by the door.
"Hey wheres my hugs?" Katie asked
Chloe and Tristan ran over and gave her a hug, Jenslee and abby just stayed behind and Jenslee said, "Do you have presents for us?"
"Maybe..."
"No hugs tell presents!" Jenslee said. Katie laughed and said,
"No hugs no presents!"
"Fine" Jenslee rolled her eyes and her and Abby gave Katie a hug.
"Whos that?" Chloe asked as she pointed to Josh, who was now sitting on the couch.
"Thats Josh, we're gonna get married."
Chloes eyes got big, so did every other kids and Jenslee and Abby said, "Oh so hes your husband!"
"not yet." Katie laughed, "Here shut up and have presents!" She handed Jenslee and Abby some new clothes and make up and CD's (they had requested ), and handed Chloe a few new barbies, and Tristan some spider man toys. She gave Brittni her eminem present and all the kids hugged her and thanked her and then ran off to play with their new things.
"Here I'll show ya our room." Katie said picking up her luggage.
Josh came and helped, and then followed. They went to a big room and Katie opened the door to reveal a queen bed, a bunch of stuffed animals, a closet ready to burst, and a wall covered in Natural pictures.
"I see you always had a thing for us!" Josh teased.
"Shush." Katie said embarassed.
"So where is your parents?" Josh asked.
"I dont know I guess they went out for a sec. I need a hug!" Katie said.
Josh gave her a hug and kiss and said, "It will be okay honey dont worry. Your sisters and brother seem nice."
"aww thanxs. Well Im not waiting up for mom and Jared, I'm tired and I'm sleeping!" She said as she took off her clothes to change into her pajamas (the door was shut) and then laid down on the bed.
"Well honey dont you want to wait up for them?" Josh asked
"Nah they'll understand."
"Well I guess I dont want to face that herd of kids alone! I'm tired too..." Josh took off his jeans and sweater so he was in his boxers.
He laid down next to Katie and said, "This beds comfy."
"Yeah...dont get any ideas!" she laughed. He laughed and said, "I wouldnt do that. Nighty night. I love you." He gave her a kiss.
"Night, love you too."
Not 20 minutes later Mom and Jared came in.
"Is Katie here yet?" asked Pam (mom) as she walked in with a gallon of ice cream and some grocery bags.
Chloe was sitting on the couch with her dolls and said, "She went to her room with that guy."
"What guy?" Pam asked. She thought Chloe must have misunderstood something
"That guy she brought. He was short and she said they were getting ma-rr-ied." Chloe said streching out the word married like little kids do when they tease.
Mom went and opened Katie's door. There she seen two lumps in the blankets. They were just sleeping, but Chloe was right, there was a man! Mom didnt bother to wake them up. But she did wonder about it.
2 hours later Katie woke up. She heard a knock on the door. Brittnis voice followed saying, "Katie, Josh, dinner!"
Katie did her best not to spaz out. She was to tired to anyways!
"Josh..." she whispered and kissed his neck, "Josh....honey wake up." Josh rolled over and put his arm around her, "I dont want to!"
"But everyones here, its dinner time. Please..." Katie begged concerened.
"Oh right...okay Im getting up..." Josh said.
They both got redressed and went out.
"Bout time you two got up!" Mom said. Katie was worried now.
"Sorry we were just tired, we travelled all day."
"So this must be your fiancee`...?" mom teased pointing to Josh.
"Yeah mom, everyone, this is Josh Horn. We're getting married this summer." Katie said nervously.
"Why didnt you ever mention him before?" Jenslee said sarcastically.
"Didnt think to." Katie laughed nervously.
She showed josh who each person was, then they sat down to eat. Cotton and Jenny were under the table begging for food.
The first dinner actually went quite well. Josh kept his cool, and mom didnt tease much! That night Katie and Josh were so tired they just went to bed and barely said anything other then 'love you, and night.' Days passed, and then it was new years. They'd been there almost a week.
New years night was fun. The little kids were sent to bed by 10, and then the rest stayed up to play the game: who, what, where, when, why, with who? They also had the fake win welches makes and watched comedy movies. Katie was thrilled because everyone really seemed to like Josh, and Josh just adorded all of them. The next week went fast. On the final day, everyone was sad to see them leave. Katie swore they liked J more then her! But that was okay. They got into the car and headed off for Katie's grandma's house, which was in Independence, Iowa. It was in the eastern part. The whole car trip Josh just ranted on about how much fun he had had. Katie wasnt feeling to good. By the time they made it to the town of Brittany Katie demanded Josh stopped and pulled over. When she got back in the car Josh said,
"Honey are you okay? You look pale." He was concerened
"Yeah I dont feel to good. I just dont want to throw up on myself!"
"Okay well whenever you need me to just tell me and we'll pull over. They pulled over 5 times in an hour! Josh was getting concerned and suggested they stay in a hotel tell she was feeling better. But after the 5th time of throwing up Katie said, "Actually I feel a lot better. I'm just really hungry."
"Okay I'll pull over at Fozollis and get you something but be careful I dont need you getting sick again!" Josh was really concerned. She never got sick when they were dating, and she had seemed fine before they left, and she seemed fine now.
She was fine the rest of the trip except they had to pull over another 10 times for her to use the restroom! They finally made it to Independence and Katie was feeling a lot better. Josh had hopes that she would stay that way.
"Now let me warn you about Grandma." Katie said. "Shes a little annoying, over enthuisastic if you will! She'll love you I know but she'll drive me nuts! So please dont tell her I was sick..."
"Okay I wont....how you feeling?" Josh said as they turned on her Grandmas street.
"I'm feeling a lot better."
When they walked into Grandma's house Edi (her Grandma) ran over to give them a hug and said, "Oh hi Katie!!!" as she gave her a hug, "And this must be that sweet young man your mom told me about. Hi Josh!!!" She said as she gave him a hug.
Grandma Edi bugged them for an hour about how was there trip, and that they should go wedding dress shopping tommorow. Josh just loved that idea! He also liked the fact that Edi had baked cookies, he hadnt had any in awhile .
That night Katie seemed fine. The next morning however she was throwing up again, and she hadnt even ate anything!
"Katie I'm getting worried about you..." Josh said.
"I'm fine..." Katie insisted, as she ran to the bathroom again to throw up.
"Maybe we should take you to a doctor..." Josh said.
"No! No I'm fine...I feel better now," she said as she walked out of the bathroom.
"Throwing up 5 times every morning cant be healthy!" Said Josh.
"I'm fine!" Katie insisted.
However Josh told Edi about Katie, and Edi got worried and insisted that she was going to the doctors the next day (the 15th.) Katie didnt want to, but Josh begged her and she agreed. Josh wanted to come with Katie, but she insisted he just stay home and she would be fine.
When she came back she was in shock.
"What? What did the doctor say honey?" Josh asked as he gave her a hug.
"Umm...he said he'd know in 2 days...so we'll have to wait..." Katie said just trying to keep her balance.
"are you okay?" Josh asked.
"Yeah...yeah I just feel like fainting..."
"No dont do that! Here lay down."
The 2 days passed with more throwing up, and Josh being worried. On the second day they went to look at wedding dresses. Josh thought Katie should stay home, but she insisted she was well enough to come!
When they got back Katie's cell phone was ringing (She had left it on the table.)
"Hello? Oh hi....yeah......it is?....I am?....okay um...thanks...bye.." Katie said as she fell into the chair. Edi just walked in with the few wedding catalogs they had picked out.
"What whats wrong?" Josh asked. Katie's eyes were huge.
"Umm oh its....nothing I'll be better soon..." Katie quickly walked down stairs. That night while they were laying in bed Josh said, "Honey what did the doctor say?"
"Josh I didnt want to say in front of grandma, and I didnt want to tell you earlier because I wasnt sure..."
"What?" Josh said confused and worried. What if it was cancer or something!?
"The doctor said i'm a little over 3 weeks pregnant..."

After Katie told J the news, he didn’t say anything. He honestly didn’t know what to say. All J could do was lay there, and think. “Wow, she is pregnant, and …ok. What do I do now?” he said to himself. J turned over to hold Katie. She thought he was mad, and she was worried. J said…”Katie, I love you, and well, we can do this. We are getting married soon, and everything will work. Don’t worry.” Katie was crying and she was worried Josh was mad about this, and she wondered if J thought this was a mad idea. Josh held her, and told her things would work out. J sat up and said…”Katie, I know you didn’t want kids, and I’m sorry. I will help you in all ways I can, please understand I’m sorry.” Katie looked at J…”Why are you sorry? This isn’t your fault, we did this together. Don’t be sorry.” Katie turned over and lay in Josh’s’ arms. J held Katie as she fell asleep. Josh didn’t sleep much that night, cause of the thought of being a father. Josh really liked that thought, but he couldn’t tell Katie. He was worried she might feel this happened on purpose. As Josh lay in bed, he thought of names, times he would have with the baby, and how wonderful of a mother Katie would be. He also worried Katie would think this was purposely done, and be mad. He loved Katie, and last thing he wanted her was mad at him…. AGAIN!
The next morning J was up before Katie. Katie walked into the kitchen where J was sitting. Edi had run out to go grocery shopping, and Katie’s grandpa had gone to visit with some other relatives. J looked at Katie and said…”You know this wasn’t planed. I never planned on this. I don’t want you to think that. Katie, I am sorry.” Katie looked at J…”I know this wasn’t planned. I just want to know…Are you mad, or are you excited?” she asked. “Kate, I am gonna be honest. I am actually really excited about this. You know Ive wanted kids someday, but I swear…I never intended for this! But, I am excited.” Katie looked at J…”I’m kinda excited to, I just wanted to know how you felt. You never really said much last night. I was worried.” “You aren’t mad at me?” J asked in a shocked tone. “No, why would I be?” Katie said. Josh said…”Well, you didn’t want kids, you didn’t want to have sex till marriage, and I feel I pushed all this on you.” “J…you didn’t. I wanted to sleep with you, and remember…I was there to. So, it isn’t your fault!” J smiled, and said…”I gotta tell someone!” “NO!! You can’t! J…we can’t tell anyone!” Katie said worriedly.” “Well, we can tell Mary and Patrick. They will keep quiet, and understand.” Katie said.

"Okay....can I go call them?" Josh asked excitedly
"You're really exicted about this aren't you?" Katie asked. She had really believed that he hadn't wanted the baby.
"Of course I am! I mean other then thinking bout if you were gonna be mad at me or not....alls I could think of was what to name the baby and all the stuff I get to do as a daddy and all that!" Josh said fast and excited, with a huge smile on his face. "So can I call? I want to have Patrick give me all the tips he can." Josh pleaded.
"no not right now....OMG grandma just pulled up! No more talk of this....I dont want her to know...yet....we can call them when grandma goes to work." Katie said with a scared tone.
"Okay....are you feeling okay? Want me to make you something for breakfast?" Josh said suddenly more concered about Katie then the future baby.
"No Im okay...and dont treat me special. if grandma ask...I had a touch of the flu!" Katie said as she took a drink of water.
"Oh what fun can it be if I cant baby you?" Josh teased.
Right then Edi walked in.
"Oh hi kids!!!! Katie how are you feeling? Did the doctor call?"
"Oh umm Im fine...yeah he said it was just a case of the flu and I might throw up a while....but I'll be okay and Im not contagious or anything." Katie said quickly.
"Oh okay thats good! What do you two want for lunch?" Edi asked. She was always trying to feed people.
"Some of that rice would be good..." Katie said. She was a vegetarian so she didnt eat to much variety to begin with.
"Honey dont you think you should eat something more?" Josh asked. He wanted her to be healthy.
"No I'm not that hungry..." she said giving Josh the 'shut up' look.
"Alright just saying..."
The day passed almost uneventful. When Edi left for work Josh nearly jumped at the chance to call Mary and Patrick.
"Can I call them now?" he asked excited
"No Josh..." Katie nudged her head towards where her grandpa was sitting. He would surely hear and she didnt want him to know. Josh got the hint. Thankfully not 20 minutes later he left to go shovel the drive way and then take a walk.
Josh nearly ran down the stairs to the basement. He was so excited to call Patrick and Mary and *finally* tell someone. He took out his cell phone and dialed the number.
"Hello?" Patrick answered.
Katie just sat on the couch next to Josh. She wanted to talk to Mary...but she still didnt know how she felt about this whole damn situation. She loved Josh and she would never get rid of a baby. As she always said, "if your responsible enough to have sex, your responsible enough for whatever happens!" but she didnt feel ready, and after living with all her sisters and brother, she didnt need kids! Anyways Josh then said, "Hello! hey Pat guess what!"
"What?" Patrick said flatly. He had been up all night with Anny. She was still teething and wasnt enjoying it (nor was he !)
"Well....me and Katie are going to have a baby!" Josh said happily as he cuddled into Katie, and put his hand on her tummy. She didnt know if she could get used to that!
"Isnt it custamary to plan that after you're married?" Patrick said sarcastically. It didnt register in his brain what had happend.
"Well yeah....but its like Anny." Josh said hopeing he'd get the clue. Patrick did.
"OMG josh you got an underage girl pregnant!? is that even legal?"
"I dont know...we're engaged in my mind it doesnt really matter! Josh said a little angrily
"Whatever...what does Katie think?"
"Shes happy...your happy right honey?" Josh asked. Katie just said 'yes...' she didnt know if that was true, but josh was so excited he didnt care!
"Well congrats Josh!" Patrick said.
"Is Mary around? I bet Katie would like to tell her the news." Josh asked. He always thought about Katie whenever he did anything.
"No her and Anny went out so I could have some sleep! Just wait tell you have your kid! I love Anny so so much, but she drains me more then work ever did!" Patrick said as he yawned.
"Well I dont care...I'll love to hold my baby all night long if I have to!" Josh said excited again. He was really having trouble controlling how happy he was. He was still really worried that katie would be mad at him.
"Sure you will...I love holding Anny too....but I love sleep just as much!" Patrick said bluntly.
"Well your just no fun tonight!" Josh said.
"Man, u better go, your gonna be in trouble call me later. I'm tired anyways. Bye." Patrick said hanging up. he would be more excited when he was more awake!
"You are happy about this baby?" Josh asked Katie. He wanted to be sure.
"Yes...yeah.....I am..." she said slowly. Now Josh was worried.
"Honey be honest with me....are you really happy about this? I mean I know neither of us planned it, but its not a bad thing...we can still get married and the baby will be born after that."
"No!" Katie interuptted him.
"No what?" Josh asked stunned
"No we're not getting married then...I dont want to get married tell I'm not pregnant anymore...I want to look good on my wedding day and I'll be 6 or 7 months pregnant if we get married when we planned! I dont want that...."
Now Josh was upset. Was she just saying this so she could dump him? He really had expected her to marry him....they were going to anyways, why should it change?
"Katie I was kinda hopeing we would still get married." Josh said trying to give her a hint.
"Well we will get married....just not right away....the baby will be due in what? September right? Well give us sometime to get used to the baby...and we can get married before I'm 19." Katie said. Now she could tell how upset he was.
"Katie what are people going to say? I mean they'll know that you were pregnant before we got married....but it will be extra bad if we dont get married before its born!"
"Josh I dont care...I'm not out to impress anybody!"
"Well I'm not either but what will your family say? What will mine!?"
"My family wont give a damn, and if your worried about impressing your family then go to hell!" Katie shouted at him. She got up and ran up stairs where she locked herself in the den.
Josh ran to follow her.
"Katie!" he said as he tried to open the door, "Damn mood swings..." he muttered to himself.
"Katie!"
"GO AWAY!" Katie said, she was almost sobbing
"Katie listen..." josh pleaded through the door, "I'm sorry I just thought that we were as in love as we were before, and that getting married shouldnt be thrown off by a baby! It has nothing to do with what people will think really....I love you and thats all that matters!" after a few seconds of her not responding (though her heard her crying) he said, "Come on Katie this cant be good for you or the baby!"
"I DONT CARE! I NEVER WANTED A BABY! I NEVER WILL! I HATE MYSELF FOR LETTING THIS HAPPEN! I HAVE NO CHOICE THOUGH!" She screamed through the door. Josh was really hurt by that.
"Katie listen I told you I was sorry, what more do you want from me? I love you, and I love my baby." Josh pleaded, he was about ready to cry himself.
"Well," Katie said as she unlocked the door and came out and hugged him, "I have no choice do I?" She said sobbing
Josh hugged her and felt really bad. He was so thrilled, and here she was crying her eyes out because she didnt want a baby!
That night Katie used the flu excuse and went to bed early. Josh went up with her and cuddled. He kept telling her how much he loved her and how it would be alright.
The next day after Edi and Bob (grandpa) had left for work and chores, Katie started getting really sick. Her and josh hadnt discussed the baby thing at all since she fell asleep the night before. Josh was getting really concerned as she lay on him on the couch and she could barely move or she would get sick.
"Honey I'm getting worried. I'll go out to Wal Mart and see if theres anything I can get to make you feel better." Josh said trying to be sweet.
"Fine go." Katie said sadly. She had been a bit depressed since the night before.
"I love you. I'll be back soon." Josh said as he got up and laid her back down and gave her a kiss.
Josh was gone for about 10 minutes, and all of a sudden (after watching some SpongeBob) Katie felt a lot better. She got up and took out her cell phone and called Mary.

The next day Katie was feeling better, so she called Mary. J was out getting medicine, so Katie called Mary. “Hi Mary, how are you? I have some info. I think I need to share with you.” Katie said. “Hey Katie. How are you?” Mary said. “Well, I have some news I need to tell you. Are you sitting?” Katie asked. “What’s up? You ok? J ok?” Mary replied. “Yea, we are fine…. Ummm…I found out yesterday I am 3 weeks pregnant.” Katie said. “What! OMG! How? Well I know that. Katie…are you serious? Are you sure? What did J say?” Mary replied in a state of shock. “J is thrilled he is very excited, and he is out now looking for baby things.lol” Katie replied. “Katie, I thought you didn’t want kids, least not now, or ever.” Mary asked. “Well, I didn’t, but now the thought isn’t that bad, and seeing you and Patrick with Anny, the thought of a baby is actually nice.” Katie said. “I am ok about the baby, I’m not thrilled, but things like this happen. Mary…I just wish if J and I were gonna have kids, it wouldn’t be now. I really didn’t want kids, and I don’t think I’m ready, and I know I’m not ready. But, to late.“ About then Katie’s grandma walked in. Katie was so excited about the baby…she never heard the door open. “Mary, I gotta go, I will call you later. Bye.” “Bye Katie, talk to you later” Mary said.

"Hello....?" Edi said in her perky, but now concerned tone.
Katie almost jumped a mile! "Oh umm hi Grandma."
"So what was that you were talking to your friend about?"
"How much did you hear?" Katie asked, praying Grandma hand't heard enough
"Pretty much everything...."
"okay I'll tell you....it doesnt matter anyways soon everyone will know! I'm 3 weeks pregnant...." Katie said ashamed. She knew her Grandma would be disapointed.
"OMG is that why you two are engaged?!?" Edi asked. Now she was worried. She worried all the time and now she was really concerned.
"No Grandma thats not why! We got engaged on Christmas Eve. I just found out I was pregnant yesterday...."
"Weren't you two usuing....you know...?"
"Yeah....wait....no we werent! Dammit I knew something was wrong! Its just we hadnt....together for a long time..." Katie said. Well at least now she figured out what had happend!
"Oh god why? Wheres Josh?" Edi asked.
"He went to Wal Mart to get me some medicine because I was feeling really sick..."
"Are you ready for a baby?" Edi asked. She knew how Katie didnt enjoy all the sisters and brother she had.
"No....no not really...but if Im ready for sex then I guess I am because that was my choice..."
Josh walked in right then. "hey Edi Hi katie. Honey I didnt find anything that would really make you feel better...I'm sorry." Josh said sadly.
"Its okay, I started feeling a little better after you left." Katie said. Josh came over and picked her up so he could hold her again. "Josh grandma knows..." Katie said. Josh just clung onto her a little tighter.
He didnt say anything. Just then Grandpa came in. The conversation now seemed to have never happend in any of their minds!
That night at dinner Edi fixed a lot of protien veggie things, and a lot of healthy food. Her and Josh both kept trying to make Katie eat a bunch of it, but Katie still wasnt that hungry. Grandpa just thought they were nuts! So did Katie !
That night in bed Josh was still upset about what had happend earlier.
"Honey listen I know your not happy with me or this situation...I just wanted to let you know I love you." Josh said as he gave her a kiss.
"I know you love me....I love you too....listen Josh I've been thinking more and more on this whole damn situation and I guess its okay....I mean I'll have to accept it eventually right?" She laughed and then said, "A baby might not be so bad....its just going to hurt like hell thats all!"
"Well I'll be by your side if thats any cosulation." Josh said as he gave her another kiss. He was holding her in his arms and enjoying every second of it.
"It helps....I talked to Mary today, I think she wasnt to thrilled with the whole idea, I mean I dont think anyone will be...."
"Listen remember what you told me earlier?" Josh asked as he readjusted himself so he was looking into her eyes, "It doesnt matter what anyone else thinks...as long as I got you I dont care what anyone thinks!"
That made Katie smile. She just cuddled into him so her head was on his chest and said, "Well you know this kid is gonna need a name....what should it be?"
Josh was thrilled with that! He had been waiting to discuss the baby in a happy light with Katie.
"Well I was thinking if its a boy we could name it Austin Lee....or if its a girl we could name her Pam Marie, after my mom..."
"Well I'm not wild for the girls name but I like the boy name...how bout Maia Marie for a girl?"
Josh was thrilled that she was actually talking about this and looking happy! "I like that name...your good at this." He said as he gave her a kiss. "Since we wont be wedding shopping for awhile, when can we go baby shopping?"
Katie took that to mean he was still bitter about the wedding, though he wasnt.
"Well if you really want to get married right away i dont care really."
"No honey I want to wait too, that way our son or daughter can be there too! But i was just wonderin when you would be up for some baby shopping..."
Katie was actually shocked to hear him say that.
"Well if we can make grandma get over the initial shock, we could go tommorow."

The next few days went really well. Grandma got over her initial shock and helped Katie and Josh baby shop. Josh wanted to buy the new baby everything. He was in heaven in those baby shops!
2 days after that they left for Flordia. On the plane they had a very interesting conversation. Josh cuddled up to Katie and every 4 minutes asked if she was okay. She finally said,
"Josh I'm okay....i'm just scared..."
"Why?"
"Because....I've never even met your parents...they dont know me and I know their not going to like this whole baby thing....What should we do?"
"Well I know my parents," he said as he gave her a kiss, "they'll be okay with it....I promise."
"What house are we going to live in?" Katie asked trying to accept what Josh had said.
"Well we could live in yours. Its big enough and theres no Billy."
"Billy...." Katie said, "OMG I'm gonna kill him!"
"Why?" Josh asked suprised
"Because he dropped you off at my house the night we made this baby! If it wasnt for Billy we could have hooked up the next day or something and I wouldnt be pregnant!!!" Katie said enlightened.
"Remind me to thank him for that!" Josh teased. Katie gave him the coldest look and Josh said, "I'm teasing honey..."
Katie just said, "I'm gonna kill him when I see him again!"
"Honey its nobody's 'fault' if it werent for billy we wouldnt be together....I love you." Josh said trying to soften her anger with Billy.
"I love you too....Josh I want to meet your parents the day after we get back. Before we go to see Patrick and Mary. And can we stay at your house tell then?"
"Sure...here i'll call my parents," Josh took out his cell phone. He called and left a msg on their machiene saying that him and Katie would see them in 2 days.
When Katie and Josh got to Orlando it was late about midnight. They pulled up to Josh's house and went in. There was Billy sitting on the couch eating half an old pizza while watching TV.
"Hey love birds haven't seen you for awhile!" Billy teased.
Katie walked over and punched billy on the arm.
"ouch what was that for?" Billy said pretending it hurt
"WHAT?!? I'm pregnant thats what!"
"I dont really think you should beat me up for that, from what I know thats most likely Josh's fault!" Billy teased
"SHUT UP! Its your fault you dropped him off at my house and well thats when it happend!"
"Well I'm sorry you two were horny!" Billy said returning to his pizza.
Katie punched him again and said, "I'm to tired to murder you now, wait tell morning!" She went into Josh's room.
Josh meanwhile went into the kitchen to get a coke.
"So Josh now you have your dream come true? Hows it feel?" Billy asked
"Its great!" Josh said happily, "Thank you so much for helpin me that night! I mean I'm just thrilled that we're gonna get married, but a baby is a huge bonus."
"You must be pretty happy..." Billy said a little sadly, "So I guess you two will be moving out?"
"Yeah I'm gonna move into her house...is that okay?" Josh asked noticing billy's reluctant tone
"Oh yeah its fine...someday I'll have a girl move in with me too..." Billy said sadly.
"Ah it'll happen dont worry!" Josh said as he walked up to his room. That night he held Katie really close. He was just so happy to have her there in his arms! And his baby too. But Katie had brought up a good point, how were his parents going to react? He knew it wouldnt be good....
The next morning Josh got up before Katie did to make her breakfast. Billy had fallen asleep on the couch with the pizza box beside him! He was the portrait of a slob! Josh knew Billy was really lonely...he hadnt had a girlfriend since before Josh had! Thankfully for Billy he wouldnt have to wait to much longer.
When Katie got up she went into the kitchen and found Josh had made her pancakes.
"Morning honey...whats this?" Katie asked
"Morning, its pancakes for you...I thought I'd make you breakfast." He said with a smile.
"Oh thats so sweet! Thank you." She said as she gave him a kiss.
"Your welcome...so were gonna go see my parents today?" Josh asked worriedly.
"I guess...wait you sound worried..." Katie said all of a sudden scared.
"No I'm fine I'm just excited. I got to go get a shower...when I get out we can go okay?"
"Okay." And Josh left for a shower.

After J went up stairs to shower, Katie started eating her pancakes. About 5 min. later Billy came in the kitchen. “Morning Mrs. Horn,” Billy said teasing Katie. As Billy poured his coffee Katie never said anything. Just as Billy turned around, a pancake smacked him in the head. “Well, geeze I could have gotten my own, but thanks.” Billy said. “I wasn’t giving it to you, you moron!” Katie said as she hit him with another pancake. “Umm…I am getting a feeling you are mad at me Katie.” Billy said. “Well geeze, you catch on good! Now catch this.” She said, as she threw another pancake. Billy was now getting kinda sick of this pancake throwing deal. He put his coffee down on the counter, as he looked at Katie and said...”You really shouldn’t be mad at me. I had nothing to do with the baby deal. I wasn’t there, J was! So, quit blaming me, and throwing your damn food at me!” Billy said. “It is all your fault…you brought J over to my house, you left him there, and we ended up sleeping together! If you could have just let us work things out the next day, I wouldn’t be pregnant!” Katie said as she yelled at Billy. “Wait! Freeze...rewind! What are you talking about? You wouldn’t be pregnant if I didn’t leave J there! Hello! Incase you forgot the deal, I wasn’t there when you got pregnant, and if you are gonna blame anyone….you should blame yourself, and J! Not me!!” Billy yelled. “Ummm…I do believe you left J, and yes…it is your fault! “No, you are wrong! Way off girl! You need to stop, and think of that night! Do you remember me being there? NO! Was J…YES! Ok, you do the math! Who should you blame…J...Not me!” Billy yelled again. Just as Billy went to go into the living room, Katie was gonna throw her plastic plate at him. J was coming down stairs, listening to the bickering. Just as J got down the last step, the plate just barely missed him. “Whoa…what is going on? Why are you two fighting? And…why are u throwing the plate?” J asked. “She is hallucinating! She is blaming me for the pregnancy, and I insist the one to blame! I wasn’t even there! I wasn’t the one who slept with her! She has lost her mind!” Billy said as he ate his pancakes that Katie threw at him.
“Katie, it wasn’t Billy’s fault. He just dropped me off, and if you are gonna blame anyone…blame me, not him.” J replied. “Well, if he left you at home, and let it be till the next day, I sooo wouldn’t be pregnant now would I?” Katie said. “Katie, please! You were just as at fault as J was!! Billy said. “Excuse me!! You need to shut up! You have caused enough trouble!” Katie replied as she got up from the table to throw a cup at Billy. “Ok, ok, ok…No, we aren’t throwing anymore stuff! Billy go up stairs, Katie clam down. Lets gets just get ready to go see my parents.” J said. As Katie went up stairs Billy was walking to his room to get his stuff. As Katie passed him, she tripped him causing Billy to trip into his room. “Katie! You are really getting on my last nerve, and your mood swings…damn!!” Billy yelled. "Hey Billy, if you had a girlfriend you might not be so damn moody yourself!" Katie snapped. " Ok, now that's enough you two! “Go in your room, please.” J told Billy. “I will take care of her.” J replied. “GOOD!” Billy snapped. So, J and Katie went in their room to get ready. Katie wasn’t feeling very well, so she laid down for a lil bit while J got dressed. After 15 min to rest, Katie got ready and dressed. She was nervous, and wondered what Js’ parents were gonna say. “I hope your parents won’t hate me. I mean, we haven’t even gotten married yet, and Im pregnant. I hope your parents don’t hate me!” Katie sighed. “My parents are pretty cool and understanding. Don’t worry.” J replied. He was worried to, but he didn’t let Katie know. “If they are mad, and really get upset, I think I can consider marrying sooner then later.” Katie sighed. “Well, lets just see what happens before we go making new plans.” J replied. After 30 min of getting ready, Katie and J headed to his parent’s house. That was the longest ride J and Katie ever been on. Even though his parents only lived like 10 min away.

"were here." Josh said as he pulled into his parents driveway.
Katie slowly got out without saying anything. Josh held her hand as they rang the bell. Mrs. Horn answered dressed in one of her bright floral print dresses.
"JOSH! Oh hi darling!" She said as she gave him a hug and a kiss and pulled him inside.
Katie just followed and shut the door behind her.
"Hi mommy....mommy this is my fiancee` Katie." Josh said as he showed her Katie.
"Oh..." Mrs.Horn said with displeasure, "Hello. You can call me Mrs. Horn." she said obviously not likeing Katie to much
"Oh umm hi Mrs.Horn." Katie said. Mrs. Horn just gave her a cold stare.
"Well what did you two want to come tell me?" She returned to her happy voice and looked at her son.
"Well is daddy here?" Josh asked.
"Oh no he's at work." Mrs.Horn said matter of factly.
"Oh well I wanted daddy to be here too....but I guess I can't wait so you'll just have to tell him."
"Tell him what?" asked Mrs. Horn suspiciously.
"Well mom....me and Katie as i told you are getting married, and we just found out some wonderful news to go with that..." Josh said nervously, Katie gripped his hand tighter.
"What news?" asked Mrs. Horn
"Well your going to be a Grandma in September." Josh said with a smile.
"Oh...will you two be married by then?" asked Mrs. Horn. She seemed a little too concered over that.
"Well we talked and we decided we wanted to wait tell after the baby was born..."Josh said
"Well why not before? Thats one last sin at least!" Mrs. Horn said. She had always imagined her baby boy marrying THEN having kids.
"Because thats just what we decided." Josh said. He could tell his mom wasnt to thrilled about it. He sense Katie could too...and she was getting upset.
"Well I guess thats fine..." said Mrs. Horn hesitatingly.
"Good. I'm sorry mom we dont have much time to stay, we're going over to mary and Patrick's." said Josh.
"Oh well okay...will you come over in a few days? We could go baby shopping." Mrs. Horn asked hopeing. If she had to be a Grandma now she was going to at least enjoy it!
"Sure how about noon tommorow?" Josh asked.
"That would be great! We could have lunch then shop." Mrs. Horn said excidetly.
"Okay then bye mom." Josh said.
"Bye honey, by Katie."
"Bye." Katie said shyly
When they got into the car Katie burst out in tears.
"What honey whats wrong?" Josh asked as he pulled on to the highway.
"Your mom hates me I just know it!" Katie said sadly.
"No no she doesnt shes happy and she likes you I can tell!" Josh said trying to calm her down.
"No she doesnt..." Katie cried a little more.
"Honey she does! Now lets go to mary and Patrick's and suprise them." Josh said as he headed towards there house.
When they got there Josh knocked on the door.
Patrick came to the door holding Anny.
"Oh hey J and Katie! Come in." Patrick said happily yet tired.
"Hey Patrick. Where's Mary?" asked Josh.
"Oh shes sleeping on the couch! Anny kept us up most of last night..." Patrick said a little upset.
Mary woke up and said, "Patrick whos here?"
"Its Katie and Josh" Patrick said as he walked into the living room.
"Oh Katie I was wondering if you'd do me a favor..." Mary asked hesitantly.
"Sure what Mary?"
"Well since you two will have a baby soon I was wondering if you'd like to watch Anny for a week so me and Patrick could take a vacation to Jamaica....you dont have to if you dont want to I just thought I'd ask you two first." Mary said, hopeing they didnt take it wrong.
Katie was silent for a second, and then Josh said, "Sure we'd love the practice, and Anny's a sweety anyways!"
Katie looked at Josh like he was crazy, sure he'd been an only child, but she hadn't she knew how to deal with kids!
"Oh thank you so much! We're leaving in 2 days." said Mary
Patrick looked thrilled, ever since Anny had been born they hadnt had a vacation!
"How long will you be gone?" asked Katie, she was already regretting Josh's forwardness
"3 weeks....is that okay...we'll be back Feburary 20th?" asked Mary
"Umm yeah..." Katie said. She realized that meant that they'd be gone through Valentine's day. That kinda upset her.
Josh hadn't even seemed to notice he was to thrilled!
They stayed at patrick and Mary's a little longer and made arrangements to watch Anny. When they got in the car Josh said, "Oh wow I cant wait! It'll be one of the first times I ever got to take care of a baby!" He seemed to happy.
"Yeah...it'll be great!" Katie said sarcastically.
"Honey is something wrong? Are you feeling alright?"
"No I'm not alright! Josh I dont want to watch kids I only got 8 months tell I have a permanent one! And besides this falls on Valentines day too....we've never spent a Valentine's day together..." Katie said sadly. When she was younger she'd always dreamed of having a romantic Valentine's day, and she'd never had one!
"Well we can ask Marc and Sarah to watch her, or Ben and Kyelly, or even Michael and Kaylie! Billy might even! We'll have Valentine's together okay?" Josh said like it solved the problem
"No its not okay...I love Anny but I dont want to watch her! You just said okay with out me saying anything!"
"Well I thought you'd want to prepare for our baby..." Josh said as she interuptted him,
"Oh yeah prepare Josh whatever! You only think about yourself! Tommorow is the only day we have left before we have to watch Anny and your mom is going to be involved. Thats the last thing I'd like to do on our last day of freedom! We haven't even had sex since you found out I was pregnant..."
"Well I'm sorry I didnt think you were really in the mood for any sex..."
"Well you just assume all the freaking time dont you? I dont want to talk anymore!" Katie yelled as she turned over so she wasnt facing Josh. 'when will the mood swings end?' Josh thought.
When they got into Josh's house Billy was sitting on the couch again. Katie went over to him and said, "Billy I'm sorry about this morning I dont know what came over me...listen I have a friend named Lisa and I bet she'd really be interested in meeting you...."
Billy looked at her like he was scared she'd change on him again! "Apology accepted, you're pregnant you have the right to be moody!" He laughed, "whats her number?"
Katie wrote it down and handed it to him. Josh, seeing how sweet she had been to Billy thought she'd apoligize to him.
He walked over to give her a hug and she just walked right past him and ran into the guest room and locked the door!
"What was that all about?" Billy asked

J looked at Billy. “Well, she and I talked, and she is finally somewhat realizes you aren’t to blame. She is mad at me now.” J replied. “What? Why is she mad at you? What did you do this time?” Billy asked with a light laugh. “Well, she and I got in a little fight…again. She got mad for some reason. hehehe...She is mad cause I volunteered to keep Anny while Patrick and Mary went on a vacation. I said it would be a good idea to prepare for our baby. You know? Well, she got mad cause I didn’t confirm it with her first, and because she and I haven’t had sex since we found out she was pregnant.” J replied. “Wow…she wants to have sex? Dude, Id thought she was like against it now since you got her pregnant. And she said this to you?” Billy said in shock. “Yep, and I guess she thinks Im supposed to read her mind. I only said we’d watch Anny cause if you think about it, Mary and Patrick really haven’t had any free time since Anny was born. This is like really the first honeymoon. Cause when they married, Natural was still touring, and Mary and Patrick never really got that honeymoon. Then within like 5 ½ months of marriage, Mary got pregnant with Anny. So, Patrick and Mary really never had that free life deal after the wedding. You see what I mean?” J said. “Yea, I think. But I still think you should have asked Katie how she felt about keeping Anny and if she would like to. But, (with a laugh) I can see why you never mentioned sex with Katie. After what has happened the 1st time. So, if I were you, Id go upstairs, talk to Katie, and see if you can sleep in your bed tonight.” Billy said with a laugh. So, J went upstairs to try to work things out with Katie.
Knock, knock…J opens the door. Katie was sitting on the bed reading. “Yea, what do ya need?” Katie said sarcastically. “I want to talk. What I did wasn’t right. I should have come and talked to you first, but the thought of keeping Anny, and getting some experience with a baby seemed like a good idea. Im sorry.” J said as he sat next to her. “Well, I of course would have said yes to Mary and Patrick, I just want you to confront me, and let me know before you decide to do something. I shouldn’t have gotten mad, and Im sorry. Oh and the baby deal isn’t Billy’s yours’ or my fault. Things happen, and Im sorry Ive been a crazy nut lately. “ Katie said apologetically. “You don’t need to apologize. Things happen, and Im not mad at you at all. We will get through this, and I promise…for now on. I will talk to you before making any more decisions. OK? J said giving Katie a kiss. As J was walking out of the room Katie said...”J, give me a little time, and we will have sex again. Im just not used to the idea of being pregnant, and being a mother within 8 months. Sorry.” “Katie, don’t worry about that, Im fine with it.” J said as he was closing the door. That afternoon Katie slept for about 2 ½ hours. She was really tired, and she needed some sleep. Well, the next day J and Katie came over to Patrick and Mary’s house. Patrick and Mary asked Katie and J to stay at their place so Anny would have all her things already there. Patrick was so excited to finally get a vacation and some free quiet time with Mary. He really missed the quiet and free time they had before Anny was born. But that doesn’t mean Patrick didn’t like Anny. He loved her to death. Anny was his angel. He was very proud of her, and he loved her dearly. Mary was also excited about the thought of some free time with Patrick. She was a little worried about leaving Anny, but she knew Katie and J would take wonderful care of her. As Anny was taking her mid morning nap, Mary decided to finish packing. As she was packing Patrick came in the bedroom to help. “Mary, Im so excited about this vacation. Ive missed being with just you and having just you around. I love Anny more then anything, but to have you all to myself will be wonderful!” Patrick said. “Patrick, I love you, and I really miss just being with you. Like you said, Anny is our life, but I truly miss the time you and I just had together, and the quiet time.” Mary replied. “Quiet time! Man…I thought Id never hear that again!” Patrick said as he laughed. Patrick took Mary and kissed her as he held her closely. “OK, we can do this later, help me pack you!” Mary said with a grin. Just then Katie and J arrived with their luggage. “Hey! Thank you so much for keeping Anny for us. You don’t realize how much this means! I feel much better knowing Anny is with you two then anyone else.” Mary said. As Patrick and J were loading the car, J said…”Hey Pat. Make sure your careful this time! You don’t need another little Anny right now,” with a grin. “Hey J, you should think before you speak. Im not the one with a baby on the way, and not married!” Patrick said with a light laugh. “Ok, shut up!” J replied. Patrick went in the house, and got Mary. “Ok, we need to go, let’s go!” Patrick said. “Coming, just getting something.” Mary said. Finally Mary and Patrick were out the door and gone.
During the 20-minute ride to the airport, Mary and Patrick thought about the time they had to themselves, and the relaxation to come. “Mary, I can’t wait! Ive been counting the minutes till we had time alone…again.” Patrick said as he held Mary’s hand. Finally they got to the airport, and checked in their luggage. The flight was 3 ½ hours long, so Mary and Patrick slept most of the time. Finally after a long but nice flight, they arrived in Jamaica. Mary and Patrick got their luggage, and drove to their hotel. After they finally got checked in and settled in Mary laid down for short nap. Patrick lay down with her even though he slept the whole plane ride. After a 10-minute nap, Mary jumped out of bed, and ran to call Katie. “Hey Katie, this is Mary. How is everything?” “Well, J is sitting her on the floor playing with Anny, and Im just watching TV, and watching them play.” Katie said. “OK, well long as everything is going good. I won’t bother you. Here is the number to our room, room number, my cell number, and Patrick’s cell.” “Geez! I don’t think Im gonna need all that, but…ok.” Katie said with a laugh. Just then Katie heard Patrick in the background saying…”Good God Mary!” Katie was laughing. Well, after a 15-min. conversation, and Mary freaking out…Patrick made her get off. “Ok, well I will talk to you soon. Please call me if you need anything. Bye.”
After Patrick finally got Mary to hang up, he took her by the hand, and led her to the window. It was ocean view. As he put his arms around Mary, and held her, he said…”I have you all to myself, and I never want to let go!” He said as he kissed her on her neck. Mary turned and put her arms around Patrick, “finally we are ALONE!” she said. Patrick smiled and carried Mary over to the bed. Mary and Patrick were glad to have a little time to them selves. Finally some time to be together, and it was wonderful. All Patrick wanted to do was lay next to Mary, and hold her. He loved her and he was so happy to finally have that time with her. Honestly, since Anny was born, Mary and Patrick had not had time to really have that special time together. Either Mary was caring for Anny, or Patrick was. “You know, we haven’t been able to sleep together since Anny was born.” Patrick said. With a laugh Mary said…”You know, because we slept together, we got Anny. So, we need to be careful. I am not ready for another one, least not now.” Mary said. With a laugh, Patrick said...”It wasn’t all my fault.” with a grin. “Ok, whatever, Im gonna go lay out for a while. I need a tan, and I need some sun!” Mary said as she went in the bathroom to get her swimsuit. Mary went to lay on the beach. Patrick came out 10 min. later with his swim trunks. “Hey, lets get in the water, come on!” Patrick grabbed Mary’s arm and walked down to the water. Patrick and Mary swam, and played in the water. It felt like they were teenagers again. Even though they were both only 24. After playing and goofing around in the water, Mary went to lay out by the pool. As Mary laid out by the pool, Patrick swam and splashed Mary as he would swim by. After an hour of laying by the pool, Mary went in to get a shower and clean off. Patrick went in with her. He planned on taking advantage of his free time with Mary. After a week and a ½ of a great long vacation, Mary was beginning to miss Anny. She missed Anny all the time, but she has been away from her for over a week and a ½, and this was kinda getting to Mary. Patrick was missing Anny also, but after he thought about the free time that wasn’t there, he would think of the free time with Mary while on vacation. Patrick walked over to Mary, Mary was on the verge of tears. “What’s wrong? Are you ok? What happened?” Patrick worriedly asked. “I miss Anny. I want to see my baby.” Mary sighed. “Awwww…Mary, She is fine. You just talked to J and Katie. She is great, and they are taking very good care of her. Don’t worry, please be happy. Tomorrow is Valentines Day, and I have a special surprise for you.” Patrick said as he held Mary in his arms. Mary dried her eyes, and kissed Patrick. “I love you! You are the greatest, and Im so lucky to have you.” Mary said, as she hugged Patrick. The next day was Valentines Day. That morning Patrick had breakfast served to Mary in bed. “Morning my love” Patrick said as he handed Mary the tray. ”Awww…Patrick, you are so cute. Thank you!” Mary replied. That afternoon, she got a massage, and that night, Patrick made reservations for diner at a restaurant on the beach. “Oh Patrick, this is so wonderful! You are so sweet, and you made my Valentines Day!” Mary said as she leaned over to kiss Patrick. After diner, Patrick took Mary for a nice quiet walk on the beach, and they sat in the sand listening to the waves break on shore. Patrick held Mary as he kissed her and held her tightly. When they got back to the hotel, Mary and Patrick ended their night with love and romance. As the next couple days passed, Mary and Patrick made it worth while. They made every moment count.
Finally Feb. 20th arrived, and it was time to head back home. Patrick and Mary got their things together, and went to the airport. The flight home was again…3 ½ hours long. This time Mary and Patrick talked and thought about the wonderful vacation they had. “Patrick, thank you. I love you, and you made this the best vacation, and Valentines Day I ever had! Thank you.” Mary gave Patrick a kiss, and cuddled him as she dozed off to sleep. Patrick just said…”You’re very welcome, and I love you.” Patrick said as he laid his head on Mary’s and fell asleep. After 20 minutes Patrick woke up. Mary wasn’t there. “Geez…I know she didn’t leave the plane,” he thought with a little laugh. Mary returned after a couple minutes. “Where were you? You ok? You don’t look so well.” Patrick said in a concerned voice. “Im sick, and I feel awful.” Mary said. “How?” Patrick said worriedly. “My stomach hurts, and Im nauseous.” Mary replied. “You don’t think?” Patrick asked worriedly. “What? No! Not that, I hope not!” Mary said oddly. “Well, Im not sure, but if this keeps up, your going to the doctor!” Patrick said. “Well if I am, it’s all your fault!” Mary said with a laugh. But Patrick didn’t think that was to funny. Finally the plane landed, and they got their things in the car. The rest of the trip home, Patrick just sat in the car, drove, and thought to him self…”What if Mary is pregnant? What are we gonna do? Mary is gonna kill me.” When Patrick looked over at Mary, she was asleep, and he could tell she still wasn’t feeling to great.

Meanwhile (flash back in time !) Katie and Josh's stay with anny had been something else! After Mary and Patrick left Katie just went and laid on the couch. Josh picked up Anny and said, "Hi Anny, are you excited to have Josh and Katie watchin ya?" He said as he gave her a kiss on the cheek. She just cooed. Josh sat down on the couch by Katie's feet.
"This is so exicting! I havent really got to be around baby's ever." Josh said as he stared at Anny. It was pretty obvious how excited he was.
"Thats nice." Katie said as she closed her eyes. She was still tired.
"Are you okay?" Josh asked concerned.
"Yeah I'm..."and before she could finish her sentence Anny started crying.
"Oh what does she want?!" Josh asked as he held her and patted her back.
"Mary said she hadn't been fed yet...maybe she's hungry." Katie said.
"How do you make a bottle?" Josh asked. He honestly had no clue.
"Oh here...I'll get it!" Katie said as she got up, found the bottles and formula, and put it in the microwave for a few seconds. She tested it to make sure it wasnt to hot then squeezed the air out of the bottom and handed the bottle to Josh.
"Wow...your good at that honey!" Said Josh amazed, he just watched her mesmerized the whole time.
"Hey what can I say, I've had to sisters born since I was 8!" Katie said matter of factly.
"Well your good at it!" Josh said, he really was surprised and happy that Katie could do that.
Josh held anny and put the bottle straight up to her mouth.
"Oh no Josh thats not how you do it, here let me." Katie said as she took Anny and held the bottle at a slight angle for Anny. The baby was just happy to eat!
"Wow, you are good at this!" Josh was still excited and happy that Katie was so good with kids.
"Aww its nothing..."Katie said, she was modest.
"Well I'm glad that one of us knows what were doin....your gonna have to teach me." said Josh.
"Fine, as long as your the one getting up at nights for the baby!"
"fine." said Josh.
"alright then."
The rest of the night actually went pretty smooth. Katie showed Josh how to give Anny a bath, then she fell asleep as Josh rocked her. About 9 she was asleep in her crib. Katie and Josh watched TV together until about 11 then decided to go to bed.
"That actually wasnt to hard." said Josh as he climbed into bed next to Katie. "You made it out like it would be hard!" he laughed as he gave her a kiss
"I never said it was hard, I just said children annoy the living daylights out of me! At least from 4 to 12 years old!"
"Oh I doubt it," said Josh, "if we can handle a baby we can handle a 4 to 12 year old."
"Just wait tell then!" said Katie.
They both fell asleep pretty fast, since they'd stayed up late last night talking about everything
They were both dead asleep tell Anny decided to wake them up for her 3AM feeding.
"huh wha?" Josh said as he groggily woke up to her crys.
"Its Anny..."Katie said sleepily.
"Honey can you get her?" Josh asked.
"When hell freezes over and I like Avril Lavigne!" Katie said sarcastically.
"Fine I'll do it." said Josh as he picked up his glasses off the night stand and stumbled out of bed.
The next morning Katie woke up at noon to find Josh and Anny both sleeping in the rocking chair.
The next week passed actually pretty smoothly. Josh learned how to do most things with a baby, including getting up at 3AM to feed her! But then the 13th of Feburary came...
"Morning." Katie said as she walked into the living room, to the now common sight of Anny and Josh sleeping in the chair.
"Morning..." Josh said tiredly.
"You know if you keep sleeping like this you wont be awake for tommorow." Katie teased as she went to make some breakfast.
"Why do I have to be awake tommorow?" Josh asked, he really didnt know, he'd forgotten that their first Valentines Day was tommorow!
Katie froze, and figured he must be tired and have forgotten...
"Tommorow is our first Valentine's Day together..." Katie said hopeing he had remembered now, "did you find someone to watch Anny?"
"Oh no, I completly forgot I've been havin so much fun with Anny! Do we really need a break tommorow?" Josh said as he picked Anny up a little more.
"Well I thought you would want to spend some time alone with me..." Katie said a little sadly.
"I do its just, well when we have our baby, were not gonna have much time al..." he said as Katie interuptted him
"Yeah well obviously Josh if you cant hire a freakin baby sitter no wonder! Its okay I think I'll just take today and tommorow off...I havent stayed at my house since we got back from my familys..." Katie said as she walked up to the bedroom. Josh knew he had done something wrong, he honestly hadn't meant to, its just he had honestly been so busy.
Katie came out 5 minutes later dressed in a t shirt and jeans and carrying a few bags with her luggage in it.
"Honey wait, listen I'm..." Josh started, as she walked out the door.
'Dang it,' he thought to himself.
He got up and said, "Come on Anny, we gotta fix this." he went upstairs and got dressed and dressed Anny then called Marc.
"Hello?" Marc asked tiredly.
"Hey Marc its Josh, I was wondering if you and Sarah would like to watch Anny tommorow," Josh started as Marc interuptted him with a laugh and said,
"Yeah right tommorow is Valentines Day! We're flying out to the Camen Islands for a week...." Josh interuptted him and said,
"Isn't Sarah 4 months pregnant?"
"Yeah so?"
"so isnt she not feeling up to going anywhere?"
"Shes pregnant, not sick you idiot!" Marc said matter of factly,
"Why do you have Anny anyways?"
"Oh because me and Katie are watching her for Pat and Mary while they took a trip to Jamacia...."
"How come? What are you and Katie doing tommorow?" Marc asked.
"Because I never had expierience with a baby. Anyways I dont know what were gonna do, but I need someone to watch Anny for tommorow..."
"Good luck. I gotta go bye." Marc said as he interuptted, then hung up.
Josh picked up the phone and called Billy.
"Hello?" Billy said.
"Hey Billy its me, listen I was wondering if you're doing anything tommorow..."
"Yeah I am, me and Lisa are gonna have the night together and go out and eat and all that great stuff, why?" Billy was wondering now.
"Because I needed someone to watch Anny...but if your busy I understand..." Josh said sadly as he just hung up.
"ma ma..." Anny said.
At first it didnt dawn on Josh but then he realized those were her first words.
"Aww your daddy and mommy are gonna wish they hadnt missed that." said Josh as he picked her up and hugged her. Then she said ma ma again. Then he got an idea.
"hello?" Mrs. Horn said as she picked up the phone
"Hi mommy I need some help....are you and daddy gonna be busy tomorrow?" Josh asked hopeingly.
"Well we were going to have dinner together...why?" Mrs. Horn asked suspiciously
"Because I need someone to watch Anny for me tommorow." Josh said pitifully
"Why Anny? Isnt that Mary and Patrick's kid?" Mrs. Horn asked.
"Because me and Katie are watching her until the 20th for them."
"Oh well I guess I could, she is such a sweet little girl." said Mrs. Horn
"Okay thanxs mom I'll bring her by about 3."
"Why 3? Its noon now."
"Because she has to help me shop." Josh said as he picked up Anny's little hand.
"Okay see you then. Bye sweety."
"Bye mommy."
"Come on Anny we gotta go get Katie a present." Josh said as he picked her up and they left.
When they got in the car Anny wouldnt shut up. She just kept saying 'ma ma' the whole time.
"Say da da." Josh said, he figured if Mary and Patrick missed her first word, at least she could say both ma ma and da da.
"da!" Screamed Anny.
Josh just laughed. He thought how good it would feel to hear his own baby say Da da.
When they got to the mall Josh went to Rock's jewlers and had Anny help him pick out a necklace. On it was a little heart pendant that was a sapphire (septembers birthstone) heart with diamons encasing it.
Then he went an bought a floral arrangement with Roses, babys breathe, lilacs (katies favriote), and some other flowers.
Then he dropped Anny off at his moms.

Josh drove to Katie's, he was really nervous. When he got there, one of Katie's servants answered the door.
She let Josh in and Katie walked into the living room to find Katie watching 'SpiceWorld' while eating 'Monstermash' ice cream. She didnt move when he entered.
"Hi honey." Josh said as he slowly walked in.
Katie swallowed her icecream and said, "hi...I thought you had Anny tonight."
Josh walked over and sat by her, "Well I called around and my mom offered to watch her for tonight, and tomorrow."
Katie put down her box of ice cream, "Josh why do you always do this? You always do something stupid, then do something to makeup for it, and let the cycle continue!"
"Honey I do stupid things, I'm sorry, and now that I'm gonna be a husband and a daddy I cant be so stupid! So consider this my last stupid act, and my last makeup." He smiled.
Katie thought about it a second and said, "Fine I guess...your lucky I love you so much!" and she gave him a kiss.
"Here I got you a Valentine's Day present," Josh said as he handed her the flowers.
"Oh their pretty Josh!" Katie said, she honestly wasn't expecting him to give her anything.
"I got you something else too," Josh said as he held out the necklace box. Katie opened it and said,
"Oh honey its pretty, but why sapphire?"
"Because," Josh said as he took it out and helped her put it on, "its our baby's birthstone..."
Katie hadnt even thought Josh knew what a birthstone was!
"Oh honey thats so sweet of you! Thank you." She said as she gave him a hug and a kiss.
"Thats not all, I'm going to make you dinner." Josh said. He wasn't much of a cook, but Katie did have a chef, so he figured he could help .
"Oh you dont have to do that, I've ate enough icecream already." she laughed.
"are you sure? Well what else do you want to do?"
"Well we could go upstairs...but thats what got us in trouble in the first place." She laughed.
"If you want to," he said with a kiss
"I do."
The rest of Valentine's day went well for them. The next morning they picked up Anny. As Josh put her in her car seat he said, "Oh look Katie, look what Anny learned to say." He whispered to Anny to say ma ma. She squealed with a laugh, "da da!"
"Aww thats cute!" Katie said.
"Yeah, but she was supposed to say ma ma." Josh laughed.
The next 6 days went well. Then at midnight on the 21st, Patrick and Mary walked through the door.
Anny was sleeping, so Josh and Katie thought they could have a moment to themselves and were making out on the couch.
Patrick was helping Mary in, and when he seen them (they hadnt heard the door) he said, "So is this what you to have been doing all this time?" with a laugh.
Katie and Josh both stopped immediatly and sat up.
"No we just thought we had some alone time...whats wrong with Mary?" Josh said as he straightened his hair.
"I dont know..." Mary said, as she slowly walked into her bedroom.
"Shes not feeling well," said Patrick as he carried in some bags, "so how was this week?"
"It was good, guess what..." Josh said
"what?" Patrick asked
"Anny said her first words!"
"What she did?!? What were they?" Patrick asked excitedly
"Ma ma was her first, and then da da." Josh said.
"Oh I gotta hear that tommorow!" Patrick said as he shut the door, "thanks for watching her, it was a huge favor to us!"
"Your welcome, we better get going..." Josh said as him and Katie got up and went and got their bags.
On the ride home Katie said, "Josh do you think your ready for this baby now?"
"I've been ready." he laughed.
"I dont know if I am still...I mean theres nothing I can do about it.....I guess I just worry I wont be a good mommy anymore..."
Josh took Katie's hand and kissed it, "oh honey you'll be a great mommy, you were a great mommy to Anny these few weeks. You'll be fine..."
"You think?"
"Yes I do...you know we gotta have the baby room built into your house."
"yeah we do..."
The next day Patrick called Josh with some interesting news.

"Hey J, this is Patrick. What's up?" Patrick said. "Not much. Just waking up, and getting some breakfast. How is Mary feeling?" Josh asked. "Well, on the way home Mary was feeling sick and wasn't feeling to well. Josh, Mary and I had sex just about almost every couple night while we were in Jamaica. J, Im worried Mary might be pregnant…again. She isn't feeling well, and she just feels awful. Last time she was pregnant…she was sick like this. J, Im worried." Patrick told him. All J could say was…"Well, geez. I am sorry to hear that, but in a way...Im happy for you? What does Mary think? Does she think she might be also?" "Yea, she is afraid she might be. She was sick a little at the beginning of the trip, but it went away, and now…she is sick!" Patrick replied. "You better get her to a doctor Patrick. You want me to run over and keep Anny for you?" said J. "Would you mind? I will drop her off in 15 min. is that ok? Patrick said. "Sure…I will tell Katie. See you soon. Bye." J hung up. "Katie…come here! J yelled. "What? What's wrong?" Katie asked. "Patrick needs to bring Anny over for just an hour. Mary is sick, and he is afraid she might be pregnant. But we aren't sure. Do you mind if we watch her for just an hour?" J said. "No, it's fine. I understand. Ok, thank you. I hope Mary is ok. J replied. "Well if the poor girl is pregnant…I know she isn't ok!" Katie replied. After 19 min. Patrick brought Anny in. Mary was lying down in the car. "Thank you so much. I owe you two big time! Thank you!" Patrick said as he left.
Finally Patrick got Mary to the doctor. She was still feeling sick and nauseous. The doctor took Mary in right away. They ran test, and did some blood work on her as well. Patrick went in with her, to be with her. Finally after a long 20-minute wait the doctor came back in the room. "Well, you are pregnant, and you are about 2 ½ weeks, Im guessing. Sorry Mary, I wish I coulda told you different." Said her doctor. Mary was crying, she didn't want another baby least not now. Mary was also somewhat happy, but not very. Patrick felt bad, as well, he knew Mary didn't want another baby now, but he was secretly kinda excited. "Mary, Im sorry, I wish this didn't happen! Im truly very sorry! Please…don't be bad." Patrick said as he held Mary tightly. "It's ok. Things like this happen. It was an accident, it isn't your fault. I love you, and I have to admit Im kinda excited. Patrick…never be sorry. I love you, and having any baby I may have with you is never something to be sorry about. I love you" Mary said as she dried her eyes. Mary was kinda excited, and she did want another baby, just never expected it to be this soon. After making another appointment with her doctor, Mary and Patrick left to get Anny.
When they got there, Anny was laying on the floor playing with J and trying to talk. "Hey you two, how did it go?" Katie asked. "Well, Im 2 ½ weeks pregnant, and Im fine." Mary replied. Patrick walked over to Anny and picked her up. "Hey beautiful!" Patrick said. "Da da." Anny said. Patrick just held her and was delighted to her those words. :"Ma Ma" Anny squealed. Mary laughed and gave Anny a kiss. "Well, I think she missed you two," J said with a laugh. After a 30-minute visit, Mary, Anny, and Patrick went home. It was time for Annys nap, and Mary kinda wanted one also.

The next few months went well. Patrick and Mary got over their initial shock, and were excited that a baby was on the way. Josh didnt screw up (which was a first !) and he moved into Katie's house. A baby room was also built and decorated and done by Katie's 18th birthday. That was also Anny's first birthday. Mary and Patrick had wanted to celebrate it with their friends (i.e. Natural) but their families insisted they went over to Georgia to celebrate it with them. So Anny had a birthday party on the 19th of May. On the way home from that party Josh asked Katie,
"So honey what do you want to do for your 18th birthday?" Katie thought he was psychotic! She was almost 6 months pregnant and not enjoying it either! The first day her pants didnt fit, she almost went psychotic herself.
"Nothing. I just want to lay down....my ankles hurt....and I hate being a size 18 again! What a terrible way to celebrate the birthday we can finally be together..." Katie said sadly.
"Honey your beautiful....it doesnt matter what size you are! Don't you want to do anything?" Josh said. He actually meant the first part, which was really sweet
"No and dont get any ideas....I'm sorry its just a normal day...."
"Well your no fun! You dont even want to go shopping?" Josh asked.
"No shoppings no fun anymore since none of those clothes fit me, and I dont have any reason to buy them if they did anyways!"
"Fine...oh and your family is flying in...." Josh said real quickly. They had really wanted to see Katie, and Flordia, so they called and spoke with Josh and Josh thought it was a great idea.
"Josh are you mad?!?!? The only people who know IM pregnant minus Marc and Sarah, Mary and Patrick, and your parents, is my Grandma Edi! And I know she didnt tell my family otherwise they would have mentioned it when they call...every other day....anyways I dont want them to come! Why did you do that?" Katie asked. She wasn't sure how her parents would take this. Sure they loved Josh, but she thought they'd be ashamed of her. She'd dropped out, and she chased a crazy dream. The only thing she did was prove them wrong, by making it and getting her GED.
"I thought you'd be excited to see them..." Josh said sadly...he knew Katie would have mood swings, but he was starting to let them get to him, though he knew she didnt mean it.
"Who all is coming?" Katie said even more hesistantly.
"Your mom and Jared, and all your sisters and your brother, and your dad."
Katie's eyes got huge, "Josh I hate my dad! He's the last person I want to come, let alone know that I screwed up..." she began to cry.
Josh took her hand (he was driving, he couldnt do much else ) and kissed it and said, "Honey I'm sorry....I'm sorry for everything....its all my fault just forgive me..."What he said he actually believed! Katie noticed that.
"No its not your fault....nothings anybodys fault....I just never wanted to have to tell my family.....and now I have to..." she started crying again
"Honey I'll tell them okay? Im sorry..." Josh said...he just wanted her not to upset.
"No we'll both tell them....I wish things would have gone the way we wanted, me NOT being pregnant, and we could have gotten married next month, then gone on our honey moon, and moved in together, and then maybe thought about kids...." Katie said dreamily
"I'm sorry it didnt...but you have to admit its not all bad...we're gonna have a baby, and thats pretty exciting, then we're going to get married, and do most of that stuff, then we'll come home and have our baby to play with and all, and then who knows..." Josh said trying to cheer her up.
"I wish the next 3 months would go by fast!!!" Katie said. She just wanted the pregnant part to end, she hated having mood swings!
"They will....we'll have fun with your family....then they'll leave in a week or 2, and then 2 months and a week and our baby will be due any time...." he said with a smile. He couldnt wait.
"Yeah that will be nice....I wonder what it is....but I dont wanna know tell he or she is born..." Katie said with a smile. That made Josh feel a little better.
"Well I'm happy whatever it is. If its a little girl then it will be like takeing care of Anny, and if its a boy that will be just as great!!! I hope you dont mind, but I plan on spoiling this kid rotten." Josh laughed.
"I dont mind, but I dont want a little brat! Just because we're rich we dont need our kids growing up like the Osbournes! I'd go crazy if that ever happend...."
Right then they pulled up to their house.
The next morning Katie woke up to a kiss on the cheek and the smell of pancakes (the one thing Josh could make with out setting something on fire lol!)
"Morning and Happy Birthday honey..." Josh said as he sat a breakfast tray down for her.
"Oh Josh your so sweet....but I told you todays just another day...besides dont my family come tomorrow?" Katie said as she sat up, and woke up.
"I know, and yeah they come tomorrow, but I figured we could have fun today and at least have me pamper you all day." He said as he gave her another kiss
"Aww how sweet." Katie said.
Just as he promised they spent all day together and at the end of it he took her down to where her empty basement had been to show her something.
"Can I look yet?" Katie asked. Josh had led her down the stairs and had his hand over her eyes.
"Okay....now!" Josh said as he took his hand off her eyes.
There was a beautiful brand new recording studio, everything was top notch and expensive.
"OMG Josh this is the best birthday present ever, thank you honey!" She said as she gave him a kiss.
She'd always wanted one, but never had the time to build one.
"Well I figured you could finish your CD after the baby is born, and this way you wont have to go away very long!"
The next day Katie and Josh woke up to their doorbell ringing like mad.
Josh got up to get it. "KATIE!" He screamed up to her, "Your family is here."
"Oh hi Josh!" said Pam as she gave him a hug, and the other people entered.
"Where's Kevin (Katie's dad)?" Josh asked.
"Oh he was being an ass, and he insisted that he would fly seperatly from us, which is fine with me..." Pam said. Kevin was always that way. He'd never found love after the divorce, and ever since Jared and Pam got married, he was even more jealous because he couldnt have a second chance!
"Oh well I hope he gets here soon." Josh said. Then he remebered that they didnt know about Katie.
"Ummm Katie's still sleeping but I'll show you guys around." He took them to the up up stairs (3rd floor) and showed Pam and Jared one guest room, Brittni and Tristan (because they got along) another one, and Jenslee and Chloe one. Abby and Kevin would share a room (Abby was his favriote daughter...) The kids were now older. Brittni had just turned 16, and Tristan had just turned 7, and Chloe was turning 7 on the 26th. He showed them where the kitchen and living room and bathrooms were and then said he had to go wake Katie up.
When he came back into him and Katie's room she was just pretending to sleep.
"Honey wake up....come on we gotta tell them sometime..." Josh said as he laid down next to her and gave her a kiss on the neck.
"I know..." Katie said hesitantly, "Let me get a shower and get dressed, then we'll tell them!"
"Okay...your dad's not here yet, so maybe he'll be here when your done."
"k." Katie said as she got up and went into the bathroom
After a 40 minute (she stalled as long as she could) shower, Katie came down stairs in a t shirt and jeans.
"Oh God your fat again!" said Abby. She had always been jealous of Katie's success.
"I'm not fat again...am i?" she looked at Josh, even though she knew they didnt know, she was still hurt by the comment.
"no your not..." Josh said as he sat down next to her at the table (they were all eating lunch.)
"Then what are you?" asked Jenslee suspiciously.
"Well....I guess I have to tell you all sometime...is dad here yet?" Katie asked trying to stall longer
"No hes not..." mom said
"Okay well then....I'm just turning 6 months pregnant....." Katie said as she looked away from her family.
"Oh god thats why your getting married!" said Pam (mom.)
"No thats not why I'm getting married!" said Katie definisivly.
"I'm not you! Me and Josh were engaged on Christmas Eve, it wasn't tell I was at Grandma Edi's that I found out I was pregnant!" said Katie trying to strike a nerve. Chloe's father and Katie's mother had married just because Pam was pregnant with Chloe.
"Well I hope not..." said Pam suspiciously
"So ya knocked her up?" said Brittni teasing Josh, "Good way to bind her to you for life!"
"Brittni..." Jared said warningly.
"Okay if everyone is going to insult me and my fiance` and my life, then they can leave my house and go home! And yes its my house today, I'm 18, its no longer yours..." she said pointing to Pam. Pam had had to buy it because Katie obviously needed somewhere to live, and wasnt 18.
"I know I know, listen we're sorry its just some kind of shock, you could barely handle having all your sisters and brother, I just find it odd that you kept a baby!" Pam said
"Its not odd, I'm responsible enough to do stuff, I'm responsible to have kids, anyways topic closed, so what do you guys want to do while your here?" Katie said in control. Josh had never seen her so bold before, he liked it !
"Well we thought we could go to DisneyWorld sometime while were here, and just enjoy you." Mom teased.
Right then Kevin rang the doorbell.
"I'll get it." said Josh.
"Hello?" Josh answered the door. There stood Kevin with a few bags.
"Hey who are you?" Kevin asked, he didnt know much on Katie's life, let alone the details!
"Oh hi you must be Kevin, I'm Josh come in!" Josh said as he opened the door.
"Josh who?" asked Kevin, he read the tabloids every now and then when he seen his baby girl on the front
"Josh Horn." Josh said with a smile, "Here come in here, we're all eating lunch."
Kevin followed and seen everyone, "hi pam...Jared....Jared's kids." Kevin said coldly, "Hi Brittni and hi Abby! Hows my girls?" he didnt even recognize Katie.
"Oh and wheres Katie?" Kevin asked.
"I'm right here..." Katie said...she didnt want him to see her 'condition.'
"Wow you've changed so much...since those pictures in the magazines..." he said.
"I'm 6 months pregnant, sit down, eat." Katie said fastly
"WHAT?!? Oh so thats why that little queer is here!" Kevin said glaring at Josh.
"Dad dont call him that! He's my fiance`, and to answer your next comment, we got engaged on Christmas Eve, and I found out I was pregnant on Janurary 15th, so no, we're not engaged because I'm pregnant. End of topic. How was your flight?" Katie said matter of factly.
"I dont like this whole situation, anyways my flight was hell, I'm sure Pam enjoyed hers..." he said in his usual pissed off at the world tone
"I did..." Pam said back at him
The rest of lunch went like that. With the occasional mention of Katie's future.
"So since you dropped out, what are you going to do school wise?" Kevin asked katie half way through lunch
Josh hadn't known she'd dropped out.
"You dropped out?" Josh asked Katie.
Katie swallowed her noodles and said, "Yes, I did, but dad keeps forgetting that I have my GED! I was thinking of studying theology online at some college or other...if I ever have time."
"Why didnt you tell me?" Josh was a bit upset now. He'd graduated from college a little after he met her, and he'd just assumed she was home schooled like Ben and Michael had been.
"Didnt think it mattered. Anyways I'd like to make another CD and tour if I could after the baby is a little older." Katie said.
Josh was a little upset now, he wondered what else she hadn't told him.
That night after everyone had settled in and Katie and Josh we're laying in bed, Josh said, "Honey why did you drop out? Was it because of fame and such? when did you drop out?"
"I dropped out a little before I met you," she said turning around, "I dropped out because I hated school, it had nothing to do with independing fame! In fact Ruby was a retired school teacher, she wasn't all for the idea, thats why I got my GED."
Josh gave her a kiss and said, "honey why though? was school hard for you? why did you hate it?"
"I thought I told you this once...oh well..." Katie sighed, "I hated school because it was just so...terrible. You know how everyone said fat AGAIN today?" she asked, Josh nodded, "Well anyways when I was younger I was heavy and kids teased me about that...so i just didnt have many friends other then Kyelly. I had one named Linda too, but she got so depressed she ended up killing herself a little before I met you too. That was sad...anyways then I was at a school in a different town, so me and my only friends didnt go to the same one. I never had a social life, or a boyfriend, so thats why I worked so hard on music and all. I lost the weight, but I hated school still! Just so heartbreaking to know my sweet 16 was coming, and I probably would just sit at home and do nothing on it, nobody to celebrate it with. So I'd planned way back when I was younger to drop out. And I couldnt wait for the day tell I was 16! I faked being sick a lot, i didnt want to go, i used my bad back as an excuse, anyways that day finally came and it was a bittersweet day....not 2 days later was I shipped off to Grandma's to be with Jim and ruby and then work, and meet you." Katie said sadly as she reminicised.
"Honey I had no idea you had it to rough....I wish you would have stayed though...." Josh said sadly.
"Yeah well Josh I couldnt and Im sorry..." Katie said.
"Its okay...I love you..." Josh said as he kissed her.
"I love you too.."
The next week with Katie's family went pretty well. They managed not to kill each other, so that was good. Nothing really happend after they left...for awhile. Marc celebrated his 27th birthday and Sarah looked like she was going to burst! She was due anytime. 2 days after marc's birthday Katie and Josh got a call at 8am
"Hello?" Josh asked tiredly, Katie had been up all night not feeling well.
"Hey Josh guess what!" Marc said on the other end of the line
"What...?" Josh asked now curious
"Sarah had our babies last night about 1! Yeah thats right we had twins! I didnt think she would, the doctors were even suprised! Two little identical girls! Their so beautiful....they got their mommies eyes. Will you guys come see them sometime today?" Marc was ecstatic
"Sure we will." Josh said as he hung up.
"Who was that?" asked Katie wearily
"Marc, Sarah had identical twin girls last night." Josh said as he put his arm around her.
"Twins? I didnt know she was having twins!" Katie said.
"Nobody did..." That made Katie pray she was having one and one kid only!
They seen the baby girls that day. They had dark hair and eyes like Marc, and Sarah's face. Marc was just ecstatic, he was so proud. They were pretty cute !
August passed with Michael announcing that him and Kaylie had ran off a week before, and gotten married. He just turned 23. The end of August was hell for Katie and Josh.
It started on the 28th of August when Katie first had labor pains. The doctors stopped them though because the baby wasn't ready. Josh was awake almost every night just hopeing the baby would come soon!
Then on September 2nd Katie woke Josh up about midnight.
"Josh wake up!" she said urgently.
"What...?" he asked groggily.
"The babys coming I know it this time! My water just broke!" Katie said as she stifiled a moan of pain.
"Oh god okay ummmm...okay....I'm up I'm up!" Josh said as he put on his glasses and pants in record speed.
"come on honey...." he said as he led her out the door and into the car. He was ecstatic, he'd finally have a baby to hold, and that meant that the wedding was closer.
Josh hated seeing Katie in pain, he loved her and it near killed him. He was just so nervous! He sat silently and held her hand, because he'd seen from when Anny was born that women dont like to be bugged when they are in labor!
14 hours later Katie was taken into the delivery room. Their baby was finally coming.
Josh called Patrick ecstatically. He was so excited he could barely dial.
"Hello?" Patrick asked tired, him and Anny had been napping it was about 4pm.
"Hey Patrick guess what!!!" Josh said
"What?"
"I'm a daddy! We had a little girl! Her name is Maia Marie and shes so beautiful..." Josh said as he looked over at his baby. Katie was holding her.
"Thats great Josh, want me and Anny and Mary to come over and see her?" Patrick asked
"Yes!" Josh said as he gave Patrick directions to the hosipital.
Maia had brown kinda curly hair, and the biggest brown eyes. Josh was just thrilled he didnt even want Katie to hold her!
"How are you feeling?" Josh asked Katie a little before Patrick and his family got there.
"Better....its over! And shes so beautiful." Katie said worn out. She wanted to sleep!
Just then Mary and Patrick and Anny came in

"hi!" They said as they came in. Patrick was holding Annys hand, she had learned to walk over the summer and was still perfecting it .
"Hi..." Katie said worn out.
"Hi!" Josh said excited as could be.
"Oh lemme see!" said Mary as she ran over to Josh and see the little baby in the pink blanket in his arms.
"Oh Josh, Katie! She's so beautiful..." said Mary as she looked at Maia. Maia had been sleeping, she still was.
"Awww she looks just like you Katie." said Patrick as he looked at Maia.
"Thanks." Katie said.
Anny walked over to the baby and pointed and screamed 'dat?'
"Thats a baby." said Patrick as he held Anny up so she could see Maia.
"Hey Patrick why dont you take Anny and Josh and go get something to eat and bring me and Katie something back?" said Mary. She remembered being a new mom, she had wanted her rest, and she would when this baby came!
"Okay, Josh are you up for it?" Patrick asked as Anny squirmed in his hands.
"Oh I don't wanna/shouldn't leave Maia..." Josh said looking at his newborn reluctantly.
"Oh Josh you need to eat!" said Katie.
"I know...okay I'll go just so I can get you something, what do you want honey?" Josh said as he held his baby closer and looked up at Katie.
"Sleep!....actually I am kinda hungry.....i dont care just get me something." Katie said wearily.
"Okay I love you..." he said as he stood up, kissed his baby and handed her to Katie, "and I love you too." he said as he gave Katie a goodbye kiss.
Then him, Patrick, and Anny left. Josh looked really reluctant!
"So how you feeling?" Mary asked as she took Maia from Katie.
"Okay...God that hurt!" Katie said.
"I can sympathize....and I have to go through it again!" said Mary looking down at her tummy.
"Poor...poor, poor, poor, poor you! I'm thinking bout getting my tubes tied so no more of these," Katie said as she put her finger in Maia's tiny hand, "then again, I wouldn't mind a baby boy..."
"She looks just like you! Josh seems thrilled." Mary said as she looked at the baby
"Yeah he is...the whole drive here all he could say was 'OMG OMG OMG! BREATHE KATIE BREATHE!' If It hadn't hurt so much I would have laughed!" Katie laughed a little.
"Thats exactly how Patrick was....and will be again. He's a good daddy but I think he's getting stressed again, he needs a break from kids....this is our last one, we already decided!"
"Do you know if its a boy or girl yet?"
"Yeah I got it checked out, but didnt tell Patrick," Mary laughed, "its a boy they say! Patrick's gonna be thrilled."
"How come you never tell poor Patrick?" Katie laughed
"He needs something to be a suprise, he needs a break...he actually yelled at Anny yesterday! She got into his beatle's records and was chewing on them, and he was watching her, and he yelled at her thought they didnt get scracthed only drooled on! He cried all night because he felt so bad..."
Mary said sadly, "I know he loves her, he's just so tired and wore out!"
"Well why dont you have his mom watch Anny or sometin for a week then you two could both have time alone, and no chance of a baby this time!"
"Yeah thats a good idea...I just hope Josh can handle being a daddy!"
"He can...he's so excited...I think I can give him a break every now and then." Katie laughed.
"Yeah...I know the one thing that gets to all the guys is the fact that only Ben and Michael have toured since the breakup...and Patrick blames himself for the break up....he wants to reunite Natural but he has Anny and shes getting near those terrible twos, only they came early for her!" Mary laughed
Just then Patrick and Josh walked in, Josh was holding Anny and she had food all over her, and Patrick was doing his best not to looked pissed off and he was covered in choclate pudding.
