I'm so upset right now, my little doggy that is 14 years old is really sick right now She had a infection in her mouth around a bad tooth, and I took her to the vet for it it and everything and he gave her some anitobotics to kill the infection off before pulling the tooth. Her tooth had been bleeding just a little for the paste week like a litte spot everyonce in awhile. The past two days have been her worse, I woke up this morning about 6 a.m. and I had only left the dog alone for 2 hours cause I had to get some sleep, and I woke up and found her at her food bowl covered in blood and laying in it (I'm still getting it out of the carpet). She looked like she had been hit by a car but she wasn't cause she's a inside doggy. I kicked ass to the animal hospital here come to find out they were closed and I had to kickass in the other direction to another vet place. She came so close to dying if I didn't wake up at 6 this morning. The docs said she had lost too much blood and that she was nearly too dangerous that if I would've woke up any later she might of had to have a blood transfusion (I didn't know that did that too dogs?) she's home now, I've been watching her, I can't sleep hardly, my mom and I have been taking turns resting and watching her. She can't walk cause of all the blood lose, everytime she gets up she wobbles like she is drunk and she can't take more than a couple of steps. I'm so afraid to go asleep and to find her again like did this morning.

thanks, she's doing better today. She can walk a little bit better without falling down. I'm still having to feed her through a surenge (sp?) she won't drink water on her own and I also have to put that in the surenge and feed it to her like that. I think we're out of the worse days with her. Her blood count is getting to a normal level again. She was very alert today, early I sat beside her in the floor to pet her and when I quit petting her she got up and crawled up on my lap and give me little puppy dog eyes to pet her some more like she use too.

Re: :( :( :( while I was at school tonight, my mom had to take her back to the animal hospital, her fever went back up She's gotta stay there overnight, I miss her already They said they are gonna run some more test on her cause her blood count is getting lower again I'm gonna get some pictures up on the web of her and put them on here.

Thanks, I'm hoping she'll get to come home tonight, I'm gonna go visit her in a few minutes. The vets called earlier and said they are still waiting for some test results to get back, but they said she did eat and drink a little bit on her own, they are still having to force fluids on her like I had too though. I'm so hoping her test results comeback good, cause if they come back bad, like if she has something wrong with her that can't be fixed and she's going to be in allot of pain over it, we're gonna put her to sleep

She still isn't home yet though she has one more test. Her enzyme levels are high in her liver, and it could be either caused by cancer or just inflamatory. I'm hoping inflamatory right now. The doggy docs are gonna do the test to her tomorrow morning and depending how she does, she might get to come home *crosses fingers*! I've been visiting her everyday now and this afternoon my mom and I visited her again, she seemed to be doing a whole lot better since they gave her a small blood transfusion. But she is so pissed at me and my mom she didn't start liking us again till she thought we were leaving. We took her outside to feed her and the first thing she did was walk over to my car. She made countless trips to my car thinking she was going home. My mom said she's coming home tomorrow no matter what, cause Katie hasn't been this pissed at us in a long long time not since we had her fixed.

thanks, she got to come hom tonight but they left her IV tube in her arm cause she'll have to go back tomorrow. We'll get test results back tomorrow on what is wrong with her liver.

She's doing allot better!!! She started following me around yesterday like a little kid again, like she use too. She even growled at this dalmation she hates that lives on our street, she hasn't growled at anything in the past three weeks. I still haven't got them test results back yet though and she still has an IV in her leg just incase if they have to give her another blood transfusion.
