Howdy, ev'rybuddy!
It's me, Dirk. Yes, Dirk Amoeba. Dirk "become an admin and then disappear for a month and a half" Amoeba.
Believe me, I had reasons. Oh, did I have reasons. Reasonable reasons. For one thing, my computer's been having problems, so it for some reason won't allow me to use forms. Also, all November I was participating in National Novel Writing Month (my novel is terrible, you wouldn't like it). To top it all off, my school's drama production, a musical version of Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew, called just "Shrew" (or as I lke to call it, "Shrew Tales"), has been eating up my time.
Well, these problems have solved themselves. MY dad is allowing me to use his laptop, and November is over. Also, Shrew has been postponed until January because of our snowstorm.
So, I might not be "back," but for the moment I'm here. WHOOOSH!
To make things simple...we seem to be dead. Outright dead. The only posts made this month (other than the Halloween special) were made by 3 or 4 people, but mostly only 2. We REALLY gotta liven up this place. The idea of re-post polls are good, but dudes...this place is getting ghostly...maybe Gengy will come soon!

Eh...I talk to most of you on AOL, so hi to all those who I don't for some reason...I'm trying to get people to come back...but I'm busy, too, band has kicked up for our Florida trip and the Orchestra Christmas Concert is coming up...So...yeah.

Hey there everyone! I"m back, for the time being. I've gotta agree with masfman, this board is a-dyin'... *sniff sniff*
The question is, what do we do about it? I say we dedicate this discussion to figuring that out. Right now i'm outta ideas... but mebbe you guys have some?

I say we go merge with another board. I mean come on I don't think this board is going to come back to life anytime soon.
It's like what some of the other members said it was fun and strong at first getting this place but now it's just dead. I don't mean to be negative but that's just how it seems.
Yes, I have no life. Is there something wrong with that?

I know what you're thinking. You're thinking "when will Dirk stop making up excuses and post something?" well, too bad.
Truth is, I don't want to go into the excuses. Let's just say my computer and I are fighting. We finally dropped AOL and got Verizon DSL, but it won't work on the computer for some reason.
I HAVE finished another chapter of Shrew Tales, but it's on my computer (and this is my dad's laptop). And, Esscookie and I DID do a holiday crossover, or we atleast halfway did it. But for various reasons, it never got posted or even finished. So, that may be coming a few weeks late.
So, as soon as my comp stops being stupid, I'll post more.

*sob* I think this is the end, guys! We're all moving so slow! Even the Add-On!
Maybe we should consider moving to someplace else... or maybe it's time we all go our seperate ways. o_0;;;
*scowl in frustration* But where would we move to? Where would we all go together and stay alive?
Maybe I'll just jump off this ship before it sinks... This Way Up is falling worse then before... I barely even come here anymore! And I used to come ALOT!
I'll leave and come back in a while to see if this place is alive.

Contrary to popular belief, I haven't completely abandoned you guys...I still occassionally drop by to read discussion topics and a few fics silently (because I realize my opinion doesn't count for squat anymore)...but I think the problem is, there are too many people doing as I am, and too few active members like we all used to be back in the glory days =P
Well, if anyone can get this board back to where it once was, they deserve all the cookies and brownies in the world.
Well, I think things may be coming back soon. I'll be posting the last chapter of my fic here soon, but chapters don't come as often and neither does time to write them. I hate to see this board go away.
If we do merge with another board, don't go back to Pojo. Its a rather large mess over there, with no classifications and all. I really hope this place can still stay alive. Ill be hanging around here more often if it helps and replying (if I can remember any of these fics). See y'all around. BTW, if I'm on the internet, my AIM is TENNISCARDZ

Wow.
Sheepy, when I saw your name there, my jaw hit the floor. How ya been? Have you been writing? We'd all like to see more of Soar, I'm sure.
Anyway, I think this might be a good time to officially announce that as of this time, I officially have no plans to continue writing Shrew Tales or OPC. I also have no plans to post Teafop to this board any longer, although I will still work on it.
I may someday continue my "Saga of the Coming" fics, or I may just post an outline of what I had planned for the rest of the saga.

Soo... anybody play the new Sonic the Hedgehog games, Sonic Heroes and Sonci Battle? Both games are really awesome!

Can't play Sonic Battle... don't have a GBA. But, I will play Sonic Heroes as soon as it comes out! I hear the music lyrics are pretty sad for that game though...

That's too bad. Sonic Battle might just be the best Sonic Game in a long time, story-wise. And Sonic Heros's lyrics ARE pretty bad, but the music itself is pretty good.

GOOD NEWS!!!
Its possible we could make a quick move back over to Pojo and take the anime forum back over. They recently switched back to the vBulliten boards so there is all of one post in the Fan Fiction forum. If we would all move back and start over over there, we could jumpstart the community and give Pojo a great fic base for their forums. Im still not on the greatest terms with Pojo, but I think we could bring it back to life. So, is anyone with me? Or does someone else have a new idea.
