me 3! these forums are great for minor problems and for help to build up confidence. You should go and getprofessional advice, go and see your GP. They can refer you to a specialist. Hope you get your problems sorted mate.

Personally I doubt it...but if you are that insecure that you feel you need to measure up to me then I will let you have those things because Striderface, perhaps after all is said and done maybe I really am not that insecure after all. Maybe your the one who is so insecure, so threatened, by someone you haven't even met you feel the need to shoot down my problem. If you really get that worked up over it I think you must be the insecure one.
I'm not that insecure that I need to measure up to something online - I don't need to be the better looking or wealthy of us to feel good about my life. After the first post this topic has had nothing really to do with my own securities and everything to do with everyone elses particularly your own since you were an avid replier.
Don't presume to know who does and doesn't like me - when you are relatively new here - because there are things about my history here you don't know.

Am i the only one who can see what the problem is? How would you all feel if someone stopped saying you looked good and just ignored how you look after commenting on your fiend? I would feel paranoid that i was putting on weight or wearing wrong clothes or something! dirrty i see your point, why not just say something bad to the people not admiring you like that colours not you or have you stopped going the gym, teach them a lesson!

I mean what's with all the rubbish about going to the doctors and being mentally ill? The original post said that he knows he isn't fat. It's not as if he is anorexic. It sounds more like a little healthy concern - there is nothing wrong with wanting to stay in shape.
I'd wonder why people weren't commenting, too. Its just like if a boss were to stop complimenting my work - I'd wonder if I started doing something wrong. That's not being insecure, that's being human.
Maybe just listen to what he actually said instead of stereotyping. This argument seems to be based on something that isn't actually there, and has just been assumed.

Fer fuck's sake this is pathetic - do people really need to be complimented every minute of every day just to feel better. If I lose weight and people comment on it, then great I'd be chuffed. If I then stayed the same weight without looking noticeably different why should I expect people to keep validating me? Once is enough, how big does an ego need to be?
Christ some people are so wet nowadays, can't you just go along in life without acclaim and praise ALL THE TIME! I cannot believe all these people defending the original poster, the argument is just abolutely pathetic. Fair enough, if you've made effort to lose weight then you deserve for it be noticed but nobody NEEDS compliments every day for the same thing. Learn to live by your own standards and recognise for yourself that you look better even if nobody else does!
