Car Insurance!
:drive I'm starting to look around for car insurance as mine is up for renewal, looked every Ensleigh (student) Norwich Union etc etc. Most of them quote around £850 for the year.

Went to asda.com and got a quote of £648 :D

SO cheap for under 21's with only 2 years No Cliams!

Re: Car Insurance!
Different companies offer different quotes depending on your circumstances.

Asda may be cheap for you but won't be for everyone...

Car Insurance? Stupid, just stupid! (in-joke)

I checked Tesco, Norwich Union, Endsleigh, Churchill, Admiral, AA, Directline, Co-operative, Renault Insurance, More than, Esure and more i can't remember. Directline were cheapest. Quotes differed by up to £800! It really is stupid.

Re: Car Insurance!
Me being the lazy arse I am used www.confused.com to get mine done, you fill in your details once it searched about 90% of the insurers out there (but all the bigs ones). Its one hell of a big form to fill out cos I think they ask you anything that the insurers may ask but then after that its all searched in one go.

Mines up for renewal in June so its nearly 12 months since I used it but it was fast and easy and they even sent me an e-mail in 2 hours to tell me that they had x amount of quotes but wanted my permission for admiral to call me to see if they could get me a better deal. To cut along story slightly shorter they did and saved me about £400 off my original quote that I was gonna accept before I found the webpage.

Or even better just go and get a job with one of the big car insurance companies (like i did) and get BIG staff discounts.

That's the cheapest way. :D :D :D

Companies
I've found, as has been said here, that companies vary too much. I don't think I've once been recommended a company, or recommended a company to someone else, that has been good for the both of us.

For me though, More Th>n.

Re: Companies
How can anyone ever be happy with a ripoff insurance quote?

It's the stupidest thing ever. Our premiums are sky high.. because of all the people who don't have insurance. So basically we're paying for them too :shakes

Don't know about that, but my brother moved from where i live on Wirral to Manchester, and his insurance shot up. He pays what i do, and i've only been driving 6 months, and this is my first (extortionate!) policy

More than do it for me, as many claims as you like , premiums never go up and your no claims bonus stays in tact...now thats lucky.

Re: Companies
Theres an awful lot more youngsters chancing it and going without insurance because the policies are so high they cant afford them.

I`m with Esure and they were far cheaper than anyone else but you have to meet the criteria ie. they will only insure you if your not likely to claim. They arent daft these insurance companies.
