How many MB's in a GB?
This is going to sound like a really stupid question....

I bought some hosting and it offers 2GB per month bandwidth.. but when I log onto the control pannel it only tells me how much I have used in Megabytes, so can anyone tell me... How many megabites are there in 1GB??

And where can I get hosting with a better bandwifth allowance.. as I have a feeling I have used all mine already.. (2015.4 megabytes used so far)

So yes, you've almost used this month's bandwidth :(

Two posts but lots of pictures :D

I have checked, and my bandwidth has run out.

Anyone know any hosts which give decent bandwidth - Or ISPS that give webspace free? lol.

I have had a look around, and it is well expensive to get decent bandwidth & it also comes tied in with like 4GB of space.. when I only need like 50mb of space and 20gb of bandwidth :(

Check your small print.
1Gb = 1024Mb = 1048576b

One of fm's old hosts claimed that 1Gb = 1000000b and tried to charge me for excess bandwidth.

I won that fight of course.

2G sounded like a lot until I posted 2 picture posts on here :b

I have found a host which offers ''Unlimited Data transfer'' and 300mb of disk webspace now... So I am going to give them a try... can't go wrong £37.99 /year.. can I?

Again, check the small print. There's no such thing as unlimited data transfer.
If it looks too good to be true... it IS too good to be true.
