We have added a few things to the requirements to power and ability upgrades. Be sure and read the details in the most recent update when you request a new power / upgrade.
Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.

Kane fell back onto his bed. He didn't exactly have a way with words, but it never seemed to get him into this much trouble. He looked up at the roof. " 'Aving a way with words 'as never been my forte, unless of course it's in French." He replied. Girls seemed to love it when he spoke in French to them. He couldn't really understand why listening to a language they didn't even know made them so happy.

Hawthorne watched curiously as the boy laid back on his bed. He certainly was a very comfortable sort, which was cool. Herself, she would never feel quite right being that relaxed with someone of the opposite gender in her sleeping area.

It would be nice to hear something besides English every once and awhile. On the reservation you could hear different languages all over the place, and she missed the whole Tower of Babel effect. It was soothing.

Kane smiled, so she could speak some French. That was always a plus, she might be one of those girls who actually understands what he would say, but then he gave her a questioning look. What was the A word she just said? Anishi- what? He'd never heard of that before, and he was interested in learning what it was. " What is Anishinabe?" Kane asked, a little proud of himself for managing to get the word right, though he probably pronounced it wrong.

His pronounciation wasn't as bad as some of the missionaries that always managed to pass through the reservation in the summertime, and she smiled at him. Not a lot of people would bother to ask about something like that, and it warmed her insides to know that he actually was considerate enough to inquire.
"Anishinabe is the language of the Ojibwe people, my people. Like, my name is actually Miinensagaawanzh, but it roughly translates into Hawthorne, which is easier to most people. It's a beautiful language, in my opinion at least. It's very hard to master if you don't grow up with it though."
She grinned at Kane. He was such a nice fellow, and very forthright, which she appreciated. She'd had about enough of games and such, like so many other people seemed intent on playing. Why couldn't every interaction be as simple as this one?

Kane was stuck on what she said her name really was. He didn't want to try and say it himself, because he probably wouldn't be able to say it at all. He was still proud of himself about getting the language name right. " It's interesting that you can speak such a language. You will 'ave to let me 'ere it sometime." He replied. He'd obviously never heard of the Ojibwe thingy either, but at least he could try and say that word.

She watched the contortions of Kane's face as he tried to take in all the information she had just relayed to him. It was really cute how he got all confused. Oh well, intelligence never effected how nice a person was, and he had been nothing if not pleasant and personable.

"Migwetch. It isn't really that exciting though. Both my parents spoke it, and most of the tribal elders couldn't speak anything else, flat out refused."
He may be uninformed, but at least he was making an effort to educate himself. That was way more than other people did. Besides, it was a special kind of bravery that allowed people to ask questions and not feel stupid.

Kane did his best to take in all that information. So the young girl in front of him was a Native American. He wouldn't have guessed that. But with the names of things she was giving out, he might have caught it eventually. " Interesting." He commented. Kane stood up from his bed and looked over to his new friend. " Well 'Awthorne it was lovely chatting with you," Kane began.
He walked over to the open door. " I'm going to wander around for a bit. Would you like to come, or do you 'ave something planned?" Kane asked. It didn't really bother him if she had other plans already, but it would be nice to have some company and someone who could show him where to go.

Hawthorne shook her head, she had forgotten that she had originally intended to be elsewhere when she had stumbled into Kane's room. She really should get back to what she was originally up to. She grinned at him though, since he was being so nice.
"I actually had some studying I wanted to do before classes get up and running, but if you need a guide I can put them aside for a little."

Kane shook his head back to her. If she had other things to do then he didn't really want to pull her from them. He would be alright on his own, at least he hoped he would. " It's alright. If you 'ave to study then I won't pull you from it. I just 'ope I don't get lost and can't find my way back." He said, laughing at his own words.
Though inside he was a little worried about getting lost. He really didn't want that to happen.

He didn't manage to hide all of the concern, at least, Thorny thought she heard concern in his voice. Maybe it was wishful thinking, maybe it was her hoping that this boy wanted to spend more time with her. It couldn't be, she must be mistaken. After all, he was so good looking, it wasn't really that likely.
"If you get lost, I'm sure someone will help you out. The people here are mostly friendly, I promise."
She blushed. She had almost offered to help him one last time, but she didn't want to force herself on someone who didn't want her there.

Kane looked over to her. He wanted to spend more time with her. She was the first one at MHS to be nice to her. He scratched his unruly blonde hair lightly, then noticed her blushing. She didn't want to spend more time with him, did she? Kane sighed, of course not. He was a little too stupid, and had a habit of saying things he didn't mean.
There was a hint of sadness in his eyes. Kane hated that about himself. " Well... I guess I'll go then." He said, his voice a little sad. He turned and started walking slowly to the steps.

She paused a moment as she headed for the door, apparently Kane had something more to say. She waited, holding her breath as he spoke, barely believing it.
" Well... I guess I'll go then."
He sounded . . . disappointed. Did he really want her to go with him? That was . . . almost unbelievable to her. She took a few quick steps and laid a gentle hand on his arm.
"Tell you what. Let's drop my book off in my room, and then I'll give you a tour, then we don't have to worry about you getting lost anymore, eh?"
She gave him a shy smile, still blushing. She couldn't believe how forward she was being, but heck, you only lived once. Besides, this guy was cute enough to be worth it.

Well, that was surprising for Kane. Maybe she caught onto how he felt, or something like that. He turned back to her, flashing a full toothed smile, like all his sadness was gone. " Alright, I'll wait." He said. Kane closed his door and leaned up against it as he waited for her. It was kind of cool that she said what he was thinking. It saved him from having to open his mouth and ask her himself.

She was nearly blinded by the fabulous full-toothed smile cast her way. Manidoo but he was a beauty. Perhaps the intelligence part would come in time. After all, they were at a school, she could tutor him!
" Alright, I'll wait."
He was so non-challant, that it was hard for her to grasp just what he was thinking, but they were gonna have some fun wandering around campus she was sure. Even if she didn't know her way around that good, her map would lead the way!! It was her secret weapon, and made her rather usefull to have around. She flashed him a smile of her own and darted to her own door.
"I'll just be a sec!"
As soon as she entered her room she threw down her book and checked the mirror to make sure her hair was still all good. Nodding her silent approval, and blessing Ayeka for the tips, she dashed back out again to meet Kane.

The boy was certainly one of the happiest she had ever seen, always smiling at her. Which wasn't a problem really, for he had such a fabulously handsome smile. She wasn't sure what she was gonna do with a guy like that around all the time. Prolly go blind from all the beauty. At least no one would be looking at her as they were wandering around.
" Alright, that sounds good."
She grinned, so he'd like to start at the gym. Most boys did, she had noticed. Made them feel all manly. Then . . . the most startling thing yet. Kane reached out and grabbed ahold of her hand, sending warm shivers up her spine. She didn't get shivers very often, and it made her blush.
" 'Awthorne, lead the way!"
The tone of his voice made her feel that the geture held all the innocence of a small child reaching for a familiar hand to hold. She couldn't read into it anymore than that, even if she'd want to. He was too beautiful to make assumptions.
