Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.
We have a guest book. Take a look. If you haven't taken a look yet, be sure and do so. ^_^

"Cool? Video games? Which ones? Do you like the really scary ones? My ex used to play this game Fatal Frame . . . it used to sacre the bejeesus out of me . . . "
Ryoko nodded. " I play whatever I can get my hands on. I've got a few scary ones, I'm pretty sure I've got Fatal Frame. But I can never keep track. I have so many that I haven't even played them all yet." She explained. Ryoko thought to her mass collection of video games. She remembered when Ayeka first saw her playing them, she didn't seem to like them too much. " My roommate will go crazy when she sees all the games I have hidden around." She commented, laughing to herself. Ayeka, Ryoko's roommate, was the total opposite of her.
I changed the way my character looks, again. This is the third time, and hopefully the last.
Re: Foray Into the Unfamiliar . . . ((OPEN)) " I play whatever I can get my hands on. I've got a few scary ones, I'm pretty sure I've got Fatal Frame. But I can never keep track. I have so many that I haven't even played them all yet."
"I couldn't even immagine a collection that big, Ryoko. That is incredible. How could you afford them all?"
Hawthorne laughed. She'd been laughing a lot lately, but that was okay. After all, it meant she was healing, right? She could laugh a little, it wasn't the end of the world.
" My roommate will go crazy when she sees all the games I have hidden around."
"Really? Wow. That's intense. My roommate is a guy, you should have seen my face when I first arrived, I couldn't believe it! It kinda looks like he's a bit of a neat freak too. We haven't really seen much of eachother though."
Re: Foray Into the Unfamiliar . . . ((OPEN))"I couldn't even immagine a collection that big, Ryoko. That is incredible. How could you afford them all?"
Ryoko initially wondered if she should answer that question truthfully. Usually, she didn't like to talk about herself that much, but if it meant getting a new friend, and one that was actually a girl, she would comply. " Well, people pay a lot of money for stolen goods." She commented, a little quietly. It's not like she wanted to the world to know she was a thief after all.
"Really? Wow. That's intense. My roommate is a guy, you should have seen my face when I first arrived, I couldn't believe it! It kinda looks like he's a bit of a neat freak too. We haven't really seen much of eachother though."
Laughing at Hawthorne's story, Ryoko remembered a few of her own with Ayeka. " Well, I first met my roommate in the quad. I ran her down on my skateboard by accident!" Ryoko explained, laughing as she had the picture of what happened in her head.

Re: Foray Into the Unfamiliar . . . ((OPEN)) " Well, people pay a lot of money for stolen goods."
She couldn't believe the other girl would trust her with information like that so quickly, it made Hawthorne smile. This could work out, this whole girl friends thing. That would be wicked.
"I hear ya. I made my way picking pockets for a long time. You do what you gotta do, and then you move on."
She liked Ryoko, but she tended to like open, honest people. No games, no tricks. Just simple enjoyment.
" Well, I first met my roommate in the quad. I ran her down on my skateboard by accident!"
That made Hawthorne laugh outright. She couldn't immagine Ryoko on a skateboard, but the picture made the girl seem so much more likeable, more Hawthorne's kinda person.
Re: Foray Into the Unfamiliar . . . ((OPEN))"I hear ya. I made my way picking pockets for a long time. You do what you gotta do, and then you move on."
Ryoko nodded at her statement. It seemed they had something in common. Ryoko didn't know that there were any other thieves in Manga High School. Well, maybe they just didn't voice it like she tended to do when it came to people she liked. Listening to her laugh about her short story with Ayeka and the running over of her, it made Ryoko smile. It seemed that they had the same sense of humor as well.
Ryoko noticed her shirt, the Cannibal Corpse shirt. They seemed to also have the same taste in general music. Ryoko figured she'd ask about it. " So, what kind of music do you like?" She asked.
I changed the way my character looks, again. This is the third time, and hopefully the last.
Re: Foray Into the Unfamiliar . . . ((OPEN)) " So, what kind of music do you like?"
Hawthorne thought about it, music questions were always very important to her. But she had been asked this question before, or at least, something like it anyways.
"I like anything rock, classic rock mainly. I listen to a lot of heavy metal and death metal, but I also listen to classical, when I'm really needing to cool off."
She shrugged, leaning back on the seat of the bike. She had forgotten that she was working out, she was having so much fun talking with Ryoko. This was great!
"I dunno if I can work out anymore. At least not on the bike. My legs are getting sore, aren't yours bothering you yet?"
Re: Foray Into the Unfamiliar . . . ((OPEN))"I like anything rock, classic rock mainly. I listen to a lot of heavy metal and death metal, but I also listen to classical, when I'm really needing to cool off."
Ryoko smiled. She should make a list of all the things they had in common, because music was another one of them. " Me too I love Rock. I'm not really into the mainstream kind of music. These days its just gotten so, slutty and dodge. I'm not a fan of it." She explained.
"I dunno if I can work out anymore. At least not on the bike. My legs are getting sore, aren't yours bothering you yet?"
Looking down, Ryoko saw the bike. She totally forgot they were even riding on them. She was too busy talking to remember. " No, my legs aren't sore yet." She said. She looked around the room for a moment before looking back to Hawthorne. " What are you going to to after this?" She asked. Lately, she hadn't had anything planned at all. She usually just went with whatever she could find to do.
I changed the way my character looks, again. This is the third time, and hopefully the last.
Re: Foray Into the Unfamiliar . . . ((OPEN)) " Me too I love Rock. I'm not really into the mainstream kind of music. These days its just gotten so, slutty and dodge. I'm not a fan of it."
Slutty and dodge . . . now there was a colourful expression. She stored that one away for further use. She really enjoyed spending time with intelligent, creative people, and it looked like Ryoko was gonna be one of them.
" No, my legs aren't sore yet What are you going to to after this?"
She laughed at Ryoko. "I have no idea what I'm gonna do next, I haven't made a single plan in advance since I got here, at least, not really. It's very . . . freeing."
Since they were being so honest and sharing with eachother, and getting along so well, Hawthorne decided to keep it up. Honesty built strong bonds, after all.
"You know Ryoko, you're pretty cool. When we started talking I though you were gonna be some dumb gym bunny, to be honest. I'm glad you proved me wrong."
Re: Foray Into the Unfamiliar . . . ((OPEN))"I have no idea what I'm gonna do next, I haven't made a single plan in advance since I got here, at least, not really. It's very . . . freeing."
Ryoko nodded. " I'm exactly the same way. I just started wandering around and I met really cool people and it led into some awesome stuff happening." She explained. Ryoko added this to her list of things they had in common. The gym trip for her, which before she was slightly reluctant about, was turning out pretty cool.
"You know Ryoko, you're pretty cool. When we started talking I though you were gonna be some dumb gym bunny, to be honest. I'm glad you proved me wrong."
Ryoko smiled at the comment. She was kinda weirded out that people would possibly see her a a gym bunny. She was just one of those people that liked working out, it was who she was. " That's cool. I thought you were gonna be one of those sad depressed people, but then I couldn't think why one of those people would be in a gym, so I scrapped that idea. You're pretty cool." She commented.

Re: Foray Into the Unfamiliar . . . ((OPEN)) " I'm exactly the same way. I just started wandering around and I met really cool people and it led into some awesome stuff happening."
That made Hawthorne laugh too, she was laughing a lot these days. It was a really nice change.
"You're telling me. It seems like you can't wander around this place without running into someone who wants to spend time with you. Some of them are just creepy though."
" That's cool. I thought you were gonna be one of those sad depressed people, but then I couldn't think why one of those people would be in a gym, so I scrapped that idea. You're pretty cool."
Hawthorne leaned over to Ryoko conspiratorily. She had a big smile on her face and she stage whispered "I really didn't want to come in here at all today."
"You're telling me. It seems like you can't wander around this place without running into someone who wants to spend time with you. Some of them are just creepy though."
Ryoko nodded. " I'm just glad all the people I've met so far are nice." she commented. Then she thought back to the time she was on the roof, and met that stupid bitch of a girl named Maddi. Just thinking of her made Ryoko's blood boil, but she kept the emotion off her face and looked to Hawthorne as she spoke.
"I really didn't want to come in here at all today."
Ryoko smirked as she stage whispered to Hawthorne. " Me neither." she said. Then she laughed about it. Looking down to the bike machine, she tapped the screen a couple of times before looking at Hawthorne again. " Why did you come here anyway, if you really didn't want to?" She asked.
I changed the way my character looks, again. This is the third time, and hopefully the last.
Re: Foray Into the Unfamiliar . . . ((OPEN)) " Why did you come here anyway, if you really didn't want to?"
Now this one had Hawthorne stumped. Why did she bother? Did she want to tell Ryoko? They had just met. Well, what they hey, maybe it would sound less stupid out loud then it sounded in her head.
"Well, I kinda like this guy . . . but I just can't keep up with him. He's too much for me. I thought that maybe, if I could get into shape . . . maybe he'd like me a little more?"
Nope. Sounded pathetic out loud as well. Just the sheer lack of self-confidence in that statement made her cringe. She had to take it back. Somehow. She shook her head. Sometimes she said the dumbest things.
"Wow, that sounded incredibly emo. Forget I said that. It was totally unnecessary."
Re: Foray Into the Unfamiliar . . . ((OPEN))"Well, I kinda like this guy . . . but I just can't keep up with him. He's too much for me. I thought that maybe, if I could get into shape . . . maybe he'd like me a little more?"
Bells were going off in Ryoko's head. She couldn't keep up with him. Duh, it was totally Jun. Inside, she was proud of herself for figuring that one out. But she listened to what Hawthorne had to say, and felt like she shouldn't feel like she had to keep up with him. It was Jun, the male fitness god who spent more time training than anything else.
"Wow, that sounded incredibly emo. Forget I said that. It was totally unnecessary."
Ryoko shook her head. It was understandable that someone would think Jun would like them more if she were more in shape like he was. " People shouldn't really look at whats on the outside. Isn't that what everyone says? Jun seems like the kinda guy who would like you for who you are." Ryoko explained, smiling at Hawthorne.
I changed the way my character looks, again. This is the third time, and hopefully the last.
Re: Foray Into the Unfamiliar . . . ((OPEN)) " People shouldn't really look at whats on the outside. Isn't that what everyone says? Jun seems like the kinda guy who would like you for who you are."
Hawthorne blushed. REALLY red. Right from her hairline down to the collar of her shirt. She nearly fell off the bike to boot. Apparently, she was clear as glass, and twice as easy to read.
"That obvious, eh?" She laughed, a little nervously this time, and chewed her lip ring. This was . . . embarassing, to say the least.
"Well . . . yeah. I guess its easy to tell. He's only the second guy I've liked, so I'm not very good at hiding it, I guess. It's just . . . well . . . you know . . ."
Great. Very articulate. Excellend verbosity. She was gonna go drown herself in a toilet if this kept up.
Re: Foray Into the Unfamiliar . . . ((OPEN))"Well . . . yeah. I guess its easy to tell. He's only the second guy I've liked, so I'm not very good at hiding it, I guess. It's just . . . well . . . you know . . ."
Ryoko smiled at her and laughed in her head as she got so embarrassed. " No, no I don't know." Ryoko said, reaching over and pinching Hawthorne's cheek like she was a little baby. " Hey, I've only been in love once y'know, so your one upping me right now." She said, still with a smile on her face. She thought it was cute that Hawthorne was blushing so much.

Re: Foray Into the Unfamiliar . . . ((OPEN))
Hawthorne was startled when Ryoko pinched her cheek, but it certainly evaporated the tension of the moment. She laughed, this time a real laugh, and raised a hand to her cheek. Why did people do things like that?
" Hey, I've only been in love once y'know, so your one upping me right now."
"Honestly, it's not as great as everyone says it is. It's turmoil, and semi-nausia, and constant worry. The second one seems worse than the first. It's as if I'm less . . . secure this time around. I doubt myself a lot more. And, I'm more nervous about a lot of things."
She shrugged her shoulders. This was getting a lot deeper than she had expected it to get. Especially considering the public setting they were interacting in.

Ryoko shrugged. She felt like she didn't know much about this subject, because she had only ever been with Aoshi, until he died of course. But she could still try and give advise. Most of the time it turned out good. " Don't be. Because if you like someone and you want them to like you and be with you, its much better to be yourself. If you're nervous and watching what you do, they may not know who you truly are and either like the fake you or not be sure because your so unsure of yourself." She explained. Well, that turned out good. Ryoko thought to herself.

That was some of the best advice that Hawthorne had ever heard come from someone else's mouth. She was surprised, because the girl had just admitted to being inexperienced, but she seemed awfully wise.
"Wow Ryoko, that was pretty deep. I think I'm gonna have to take your advice. Thanks buddy."
Hawthorne smiled, and laughed. Then she had a thought. Though it was rather unrelated to the cdurrent goings-on.
"Hey Ryoko, what grade are you in? I mean, since classes are starting soon and all, wouldn't it be cool if we were in the same one?"
Re: Foray Into the Unfamiliar . . . ((OPEN))"Hey Ryoko, what grade are you in? I mean, since classes are starting soon and all, wouldn't it be cool if we were in the same one?"
" Ten. That is, when I finally remember to go to class." Ryoko replied, laughing a little at what she said. " What about you?" She asked. Finally, she was starting to feel a slight pain in her legs. But she had been moving them as fast as she had been when Hawthorne started. She remembered that they were exercising. It seemed that she'd forgotten again. She took another drink of water before looking over at Hawthorne. " Getting tired?" She asked, smirking.

Re: Foray Into the Unfamiliar . . . ((OPEN)) " Ten. That is, when I finally remember to go to class."
Hawthorne laughed along with her. It was a funny thought, someone forgetting to attend the first day of classes.
" What about you?"
"Well, I'll be starting the ninth grade, even though I'm sixteen. I was home schooled my whole life, so I just can't drop into the middle of highschool unprepared." She shrugged. "Whatever."
" Getting tired?"
Hawthorne looked down at her legs, propped idly on the handlebars of her exercise bike, and then back at her new friend.
"I'm gonna go out on a limb here, and guess . . . no?"
