Re: Chillaxing

Hawthorne delicately picked her way through the hot springs, coming in from the girl's room entrance. She had changed into a forest green one piece that hugged her newly thinned out curves. She knew some people came in here naked, but she just wasn't that comfortable with herself. After all, these things were co-ed.

She scanned the place, looking for people she knew, and then she noticed Kane. A small sigh escaped her lips. He was a beautiful man. She carefully made her way across the slippery stones, and was almost upon the boy's spring when she noticed his rather . . . involved neighbours.

"Shit! Are you two having sex in there or sommat? Manidoo, why don't the pair of you get a room. No one needs to see that!"

She turned her face full of piercings to the other spring where Kane was staring at the pair in bewilderment. He looked like a poor little deer caught in a set of headlights. She splashed in beside him and covered his eyes.

"Don't look! It's not PG-13!"

"Shit! Are you two having sex in there or sommat? Manidoo, why don't the pair of you get a room. No one needs to see that!"

Kane at first didn't listen to her yell to the teenagers. He was too busy staring at them. Why couldn't they get a room? Of all places to act that way, why would they choose a public one? Then a familiar person jumped into the same Spring as him and covered his eyes.

"Don't look! It's not PG-13!"

Taking a hold of her hands, Kane removed them from his eyes, and looked over at Hawthorne. " I know! Do people often act this way around 'ere? It doesn't make any sense!" He said to her, his French accent sounding strong in his words. He'd given up on trying to hide it. He looked back to them, the girl seemed to be showing off a little something.

Kane looked back to Hawthorne, a rather disgusted look on his face. " Now you tell me why she would just 'ave those things popping out like that? It just degrades 'er as a person." He said, the disgusted look on his face seeping into his voice a little. He moved to the side of the Springs that was facing them, his hands on the side of the Spring as he leaned over it a little.

" 'Ey! Could you possibly go and find yourselves a room? That is something me and 'Awthorne don't want to see! And 'ow can you do that to your lady, 'umiliate 'er in a public place like this!" He yelled, before turning back to Hawthorne again. " So 'ow are you? Sorry you 'ad to see any of that." Kane said to her.

Arion looked up at the two who had made seriously rude comments. Why would they want ruin this moment? She just experienced the best thing in the world and now...
Looking around, she saw a window opening and smiled to herself. She wanted to continue on being with Art...but she didn't want to be...interuptted. Leaning in, she whispered into his ear. "Hold on..." she whispered. She then turned back to the two. "Sorry, we didn't know anyone was in here...sorry, it just...well, my first kiss and all. Well, toodle-pip."
Then, clinging to Art, she jumped up and clung to him and speed off. Natural druidic speed took over and instantly, she found themselves out side the baths, and in seclusion. She looked down and to the side, almost in shame.
"I...I'm sorry we were..." she started but then she thought about what he might think, "I'm sorry our moment was interuptted, but I'm deffinitly not sorry I kissed you."
She almost couldn't believe what she was saying, but she believed it.

"I...I'm sorry we were..." she started but then she thought about what he might think, "I'm sorry our moment was interuptted, but I'm deffinitly not sorry I kissed you."

He smiled at her. "Yeah... there will be plenty of other moments, trust me." He stroked her cheek lightly. "Don't worry about it. I have a feeling you and me will see eachother quite a bit from now on."

He paused to consider his situation. He was wet, naked, outside, and in the arms of a beautiful girl. The last was nearly enough to make him forget everything else, but he had things to do.

"You just wait here. I'll get my stuff and meet you right back here." He kissed her briefly and departed with a smile.

He clambered back through the window, coming up on the two in the spring naked as the day he was born and seemingly completely unaware of that fact. "Hey, I just wanted to tell you..." he leaned down to bring his face to their level. "If you have anything to say, you'd better just say it to me." He smiled, far too widely, with a hint of madness in his eyes.

The girl with all the piercings looked back into the boy's eyes, her grey ones turning stormy. She recognized him, he had been the one to hit on her in the mall the other day when Ayeka was with her. It figured that he was a man-whore. She raised a metal-studded eyebrow at the boy.

"I do, in fact have something to say to you."

She paused dramatically for a moment, letting both of the boys wonder exactly what she was going to say. Her face flushed red in pre-meditated embarassment.

"I can see your package, and I think that it must be cold outside."

"If you have anything to say, you'd better just say it to me."

Kane looked to the stranger. Maybe he didn't know he was standing in front of them naked. Whether he did or he didn't, the sight was enough to force Kane to look away from him. First he had no decency to cover his girl up, and now he was roaming around naked himself. Oh what a disfunctional relationship theres would turn out to be. He was about to say something, but then it seemed that Hawthorne beat him to the punch.

"I do, in fact have something to say to you."..."I can see your package, and I think that it must be cold outside."

Kane tried to contain his laughter, but his attempts failed miserably. When he was finally able to stop laughing, he held his hand up in the air for a moment before looking back to her. " No, it isn't cold out 'ere." He replied, carrying on with her joke.

It was then that he got more serious. Kane stood up, and he had shorts on by the way, and looked the naked man right in the eye. " I 'ave something to say, but it's a little more serious than jokes." He began. The look in his eyes changed to that of a slightly angry one. " I don't understand 'ow you can do that to some girl. Why any kind of girl would be interested in scum like you, I don't know." He added.

Kane got up out of the water and picked up a random towel. He threw it towards Art. " And I suggest that you cover up. I don't want my friend to 'ave to see your disability anymore." He said, before returning to the water. He smiled at Hawthorne, while still keeping his eyes on the man in front of them.

Re: Chillaxing
Art wasn't discomforted by his nudity. He had in fact barely even noticed it, and his affect didn't change in the slightlest at Hawthorne's slur. He was he was, and there wasn't any point of hiding that.

" I don't understand 'ow you can do that to some girl. Why any kind of girl would be interested in scum like you, I don't know."

Well, that was a bit of an extreme reaction. Art thought he recognized the blonde boy from somewhere, but was sure they hadn't met yet. He thought about it for a moment. Cute guy, blonde, in shape, French accent, didn't understand kissing girls... a closet case, or close enough to be played as one.

" And I suggest that you cover up. I don't want my friend to 'ave to see your disability anymore."

He grabbed the towel, reaching up and drying his long hair with it. He eyed Kane, responding, mimic his French accent and adding a small lisp. "Well, big boy, maybe you don't understand how a boy can like girls, but to some of us it's pretty obvious." He tilted his head, mock whispering. "Don't be jealous, it doesn't become you." He half hoped blonde boy would take a swing at him.

Hawthorne cocked an eyebrow as Kane tore into the fella too. He seemed very concerned for the honour of the girl that so willingly gave herself in the hot springs, jubblies hanging out and all.

" I don't understand 'ow you can do that to some girl. Why any kind of girl would be interested in scum like you, I don't know."

Okay . . . now THAT was funny. She giggled, a lot. She didnt giggle much, but this one totally deserved it. The boy was just too funny. Too bad Mr. Naked had to be such a pain in the butt about the whole situation.

"Well, big boy, maybe you don't understand how a boy can like girls, but to some of us it's pretty obvious."
"Don't be jealous, it doesn't become you."

"Jealous? Why would Kane need to be jealous about an ignorent little molestator like you? He's strong, manly, and I highly doubt he has any problem with the whole liking girls issue."

She had to defend Kane somehow, that boy was practically calling off the rooftops that the French boy was gay. And that was no good.

"Listen binoojiing, just because you feel the need to make out in public to prove that you are a nini, doesn't mean everyone does. Kane and I spent hours alone in his room just the other night."

Kane listened to the boy's rude comments. It didn't bother him, the only way he would get really angry is if the kid said something terrible about his friend. " You can 'ave your opinions about me, that's fine. But at least I 'ave the decency to respect a woman's 'onour and not do things to 'er in public." He explained.

Hawthorne defended Kane, he smiled about that. Obviously she didn't let what this person said about him get in her head. He liked people who didn't listen to other's judgments, it was far better to make your own. He laughed at her comments towards the boy, still looking at him as she spoke. Kane just waited to hear what he had to say next.

Kane nodded along with what she said until the last part. He stopped, but didn't let his confusion read on his face. He didn't really know what to say either. It would all depend on how this boy took her words.

Re: Chillaxing
Art noted with interest how quickly the girl leapt, positively jumped to defend the boy from any suggestion of being gay. Personally, Art had no problem with homosexuality or anything else a person chose to do that didn't harm anyone else. What he really couldn't stand was hypocrisy and liars.

"Listen binoojiing, just because you feel the need to make out in public to prove that you are a nini, doesn't mean everyone does. Kane and I spent hours alone in his room just the other night."

He affected a pout. "Well, if you can stand him being so embetant, then bonne for you." He didn't recognize the odd words the girl used, but she wasn't the only one who could drop a few words in another language.

" You can 'ave your opinions about me, that's fine. But at least I 'ave the decency to respect a woman's 'onour and not do things to 'er in public." He explained.

Ok, Art could respect that, now that blonde boy had the decency to state why he had been bothered instead of throwing insults. Still, he had hung himself with his own words. "Well, you could have had the decency to walk out on a private moment, but you didn't, did you?" He tutted at blonde boy.

"Well, I have to go take care of that girl who you chased off, but just think about it." He simpered lightly. "I'd accept you, whatever you happened to be. Do you think this girl here would?" Art gestured, an invisible finger tapping Kane's nose. "See you around sometime." He turned on his heel, heading for the lockers before finally putting the towel around his waist.

" You can 'ave your opinions about me, that's fine. But at least I 'ave the decency to respect a woman's 'onour and not do things to 'er in public."

She smiled at Kane. He was very noble. The only other person who had really ever leapt to defend her honour like that had been Jun-Bo, which made her smile. She could see some distinct similarities between the two of them.

"Well, if you can stand him being so embetant, then bonne for you."

She chuckled at his poor French. It wasn't her fault if she reverted to her primary language when angry. She hadn't been rude or anything. Just . . . frustrated.

"Well, you could have had the decency to walk out on a private moment, but you didn't, did you?"

"You could also have had the decency to keep your private, naked moment outside of a public place, quite frankly."

That was what had weirded Thorne out the most, was the blatant clothing-less aspect. After all, Kane without his shirt on had gotten her a little freaked and embarrassed the other day. It was just . . . icky.

"Well, I have to go take care of that girl who you chased off, but just think about it."
"I'd accept you, whatever you happened to be. Do you think this girl here would?"
"See you around sometime."

The boy was . . . odd. She turned to give Kane a curious look. Did he believe this guy? Some people had no clue how to read a situation at all. Obviously. Weirdo.

"Well, you could have had the decency to walk out on a private moment, but you didn't, did you?"..."You could also have had the decency to keep your private, naked moment outside of a public place, quite frankly."

Kane looked to him strangely. Now why did he have to walk out of the place, if it was a public place? " I don't understand. This is a public place, it was my right to be in 'ere as much as it was yours. Would it 'ave been so difficult to just go to your room or something like that?" He asked. This boys logic must have been pretty screwed up, it was a public place, he didn't have to leave.

"Well, I have to go take care of that girl who you chased off, but just think about it."..."I'd accept you, whatever you happened to be. Do you think this girl here would?"..."See you around sometime."

Kane grinned at the boy. " Then I'll let you go and take care of the girl you were so close to." He replied. Kane looked away after his nose was flicked. His eyes went a cloudy grey colour, which could only mean that he was using his powers. It was why he looked away. Art would have been able to hear voices all around him, but know two at a time. They were whispering 'I'm watching you' over and over from all different directions.

The voices then changed to saying three words: Honour, decency and respect. Finally, the voices both said 'I'm watching you', then there were footsteps that faded out into nothing. Kane blinked and his eyes were blue again. " 'Awthorne are there a lot of people at this school like that?" He asked.

Re: Chillaxing
Shame was something that happened to other people. He had no reason to be ashamed of his body. Everyone had them, and all of them were the wonderous creations of God. Shame was the second sin of Eden, and belonged to those who desired to hide themselves from the divine.

" I don't understand. This is a public place, it was my right to be in 'ere as much as it was yours. Would it 'ave been so difficult to just go to your room or something like that?"

He had in fact been just about to suggest that before the moment had been completely ruined. This blonde boy had no problem at all making judgements for things he didn't fully know about, hmm? Ah well.

As the voices started around him, he simply ignored them Maybe he'd understand Art's words in time, maybe he wouldn't. Time would tell. As he walked away, he quoted the bible. "Say not to your brother that he has a mote in his eye..."

Quickly he went through the locker rooms, assiduously avoiding looking at anyone, grabbing his and Arion's things and hurrying back to where she had been left waiting.

" I don't understand. This is a public place, it was my right to be in 'ere as much as it was yours. Would it 'ave been so difficult to just go to your room or something like that?"

Apparently Kane wasn't so used to rude people as Hawthorne was. She'd seen jerks like this fella all the time, so sure that they had a right to use the entire world as their private playroom. She hated that, so she turned her back on the nasty boy and slid down into the hot spring. She was here to enjoy herself, and now she really needed to relax.

" Then I'll let you go and take care of the girl you were so close to."

Kane was prolly too mannerly for his own good, but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. He was being very respectful to someone whose behaviour didn't deserve it, but no matter.

All of a sudden little voices appeared everywhere, which freaked the crap out of Hawthorne. With a frightened squeak she jumped up and clung to Kane's strong, manly leg. She looked up at his face, obvious fear in her own, and noticed that his normally blue eyes were now almost the same shade as hers. That was unusual . . . could this be his power? Feeling embarassed, she peeled herself off his muscular limb and slid back into the water, face as red as a beet.

"Say not to your brother that he has a mote in his eye..."
" 'Awthorne are there a lot of people at this school like that?"

"There are a lot of people like that everywhere, Kane."

As for the boy's parting remark, whatever it meant. It sounded dumb and rather pretentious in Hawthorne's ear, so she ignored it.

Kane wasn't bother by if he affected Art or not. But when Hawthorne grabbed onto him, he simply rested a hand on her shoulder to try and not have her so freaked out. He'd forgotten that his power effected the people around him as well. He sat in the water afterwards, and she seemed very embarrassed.

"There are a lot of people like that everywhere, Kane."

Kane just laughed at her embarrassment. " Sorry for freaking you out. I guess you 'eard those voices too. I forgot they effected everyone around me, sorry." He explained, feeling a little bad about scaring her like that.

He wondered if he saw the colour of his eyes during the power, that was one of the strange things that happened during it. It usually took some time for the colour to fade. " 'Awthorne, this may be a strange question, but what colour are my eyes?" Kane asked.

Re: Chillaxing
She had heard it...everything.

"Oh how bitter sweet a poison love must be...the cause of all my misery..."

No! She didn't want to hear him! She just wanted...

"Nothing good could ever come from this love of which you speak...only shame and disloyalty"

Clasping her hands around her ears, she began to logically think about what she had just done and who had seen... She turned away in shame...like Even in the Garden of Eden. Without a word, silent tears began to fall from her eyes and onto her hands. Is this really what love was supposed to be like?! Ducking and hiding away from everyone who would disagree?! She didn't know...then again, how could she?
Turning into the girl's locker rooms, she saw no one there now and ran to the nearest shower and pulled the curtain round her.
'Arion...' came the soft voice.
"Go, away, Aislynn! I dinna wanna speak to you..."
The voice faded, obviously hurt...and was silent. Arion felt equally horrible.
"Aislynn, wait, I-"
But her friend was gone. Taking in a sharp breath, she took the clothes she had left in the locker room and dressed in silence, thinking about what had just happened.
After straightening the white peasant top she wore, she tried to pull her hair back but gave up. Letting out a deep sigh, she knew she had crossed a line, not quite a bridge, but a line.
Still, she had known, she must have known...and she didn't care. That's right, that's what it was. She was breaking through the barriers that had been set. Besides, in the history of her family, in the Druidic times, women had no shame with the ones they loved. At the same time, she was breaking free and justifying the chains that had held her for so long.
Blinking and looking at herself in the mirror, she then shut her eyes and felt a soft hand on her shoulder.
'That's my girl.'

In no time, she had come back out and found Art standing there, fully clothed this time. She was silent, her eyes doing the talking. He was something, something she probably could never be and she just smiled. It was a rather interesting first few events...the first kiss. How odd it must be...and she knew the people in there were concerned for her honour...and she knew she had to thank them later for their concern...at least it was concern.
"This...place...very confusing," she said softly, still thinking back on the somewhat scarring events that just happened.

She wasn't there when he came back for her. He had dressed quickly, now wearing dark pants and a grey t-shirt, still moist from the time in the springs. He wondered briefly if she had run off, if he had simply done too much and scared her away. The thought was deeply frightening, in a way he hadn't expected. He had only just met the girl, but somehow he felt a connection to her more then any other girl he had ever met. If she never saw him again... or worse, if she looked at him with shame and fear in her eyes... he didn't think that was something he could take.

But he wasn't waiting long before she came back. He saw the sadness in her eyes, but beneath that, something deeper, something new welling up within her. Rather then simply reject what had happened, it had allowed her to grow.

"This...place...very confusing,"

He put his arms around her shoulders and began to lead her away. "Yes, yes it is. Keep in mind, whatever else, that I'll be here for you. Keep to that, and you will be fine." He gave her a beautific smile. All was right with the world.

Re: Chillaxing
Helplessness...yes...this was this new emotion that had filled her. He gently put his arm around her shoulder and had pulled her in close. She still felt shame, but was beyond the hurt of it now. Clearly, this was a natural part of living, so why question that? Rather than the harsh feelings that normally filled her, this new one was soft and warm. It was as if she was depending on him...
Oh but that was silly, she never needed anyone before she came here. This was...

Sigh.

This was perfect. This was what she really wanted. This was the real reason she left Scotland, wasn't it? She could have lived in secrecy, away from her Clan and those that had wanted them dead. She could have easily hidden far enough away...but she didn't. She wanted to come here...to be with people. And now, more than anything else...even going home to Scotland, she wanted to be with Art.
Finally, she gave in. Her body had been tense up until now, even during her first kiss. She looked up at him, eyes filled with love and smiled. She then relaxed into him, leaning against him, molding her body to him, as if they were two puzzle pieces come together.
"Yeah...I want you near me. And I'll be here for you to...even if it means sending me to heaven," she said, repeating the words from a long forgotten lyric she knew. "Come on, let's get out of here...if you want."

Kane laughed at her, again reminding her of Jun-Bo. He always mocked her when she was embarrassed, good-naturedly though. There were so many similarities between the two, maybe that was why she liked Kane so much.

" Sorry for freaking you out. I guess you 'eard those voices too. I forgot they effected everyone around me, sorry."

"It's okay, I just wasn't expecting anything like that. Voice tend to make me jump. It's a pretty nifty power though."

She had managed to calm herself down a lot. After all, there was clearly no danger present here. Still, she wished that she hadn't turned into a quivering pile of frightened girl-flesh at the slightest little spook. That did not go in character with the tough persona she tried to display to the world.

" 'Awthorne, this may be a strange question, but what colour are my eyes?"

"I wondered about that. They were blue earlier, but now they're almost as grey as mine. Is that a side effect of your power? How long do they stay that way?"

" Yeah I guess you could call it a side effect. They stay this way for about a minute before they start to fade back into the blue colour." Kane explained. He always liked the colour they went when he used his other power. It was much more different. " And for my other power, my eyes go a very deep purple colour. It's a very weird side effect to 'ave, since it doesn't really do anything but make me look a little strange." He added.

Kane wondered if she'd ask about his other power. He couldn't show it to her because it only worked when he was attacked, but he could still tell her about it anyway.
