We have added a few things to the requirements to power and ability upgrades. Be sure and read the details in the most recent update when you request a new power / upgrade.
Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.

The lake : silvergilt by the fall of moonlight and tranquil. Beneath the silvered reflection, darkness and weeds and fish and silence. The air has a particular quality to it tonight, full of static electricity -- a frisson which is hard to ignore, but harder still to interpret. The air feels thick at some places, and at others, full of holes.
Not too long ago, although long enough ago, the busty freshman and the calm sophomore had words.
And then one girl threw the other girl into the lake, and she didn't come up again. The shore shows the footprints, heavier at first (when another weight was lifted), deeper, and then ... The same footprints, smearing in haste ... Coming out of the lake, again. Going toward the school.

Sakura, thought about what she did as they raced back to the lake. Her eyes where dry but her face was salted by here tears. If they could save her maybe then she would only get in a little trouble. She thought V's family the reputation was not a good one.
As she stared at the two infront of her, she feared only Amber. She couldn't sleep with one eye open all of the time.
" I saw here by that huge tree on the north side of the lake."
She calls out to Akai, who seems to be leading this charade.

Between the dorms and heading towards the lake, Amber had little time to speak her mind or tell Akai to slow down. She did not want to at all, V's life was in danger and that was more important than her comrade's immense speed.
Mikun will be angry at me...I'll never forgive myself if V's not okay...Gabriel, protect her please...
"How did she simply fall into the lake?" The young girl whispered, mostly a muse to herself but maybe Akai was able to hear her.

Akai was there in mere moments -- Sakura had tried her best to keep up with his speed but it it simply wasn't enough -- not even close. The words spoken under Amber's breath were an echo to his own thoughts, the similar wave lengths they exist upon is starting to grow down right scary.
"If this is a ruse -- Sakura will pay."
Skipping foward to the facts that will happen this matter is attended to -- Akai isn't one to just run around MHS saving damsels in distress, no that was not his M.O. -- he wasn't a hero, but for V--
When he set Amber down and Sakura spoke to him through the distance -- he sped off towards the north shore of the lake, looking back to Amber. "You check around here, We'll check over there"We? Akai's phrase may come off as strange as he didn't wait for Sakura to catch up with him before taking off again -- but regardless, it took only the blink of Amber's eyes before he was over and wasted no time.
The bandages binding that right arm, consealing his power, restricting him from reaching his full potential glowed in the distance with -- golden embers ignited into ethereal flames that around that arm, his left arm pulled and ripped the restraints free -- the calm surface of the water was then disturbed as Akai leaped foward into a dive, his form, perfect.
Underneathe the surface of water -- eyes glow golden.
Underneathe the surface of water -- kanji symbols glow golden.
Underneathe the surface of water -- Akai was a source of light that radiated and pierced through the cold dark waters of the enigmatic spring time.
Scales of gold sliver through the water, serptine motions -- water, swimming, it all came as second nature to the creature, the same intense glow eyes shinning through the darkness, slice through the water as though it belonged -- while the boy moved in one directiong, the beast moved into the other direction.

And before she could say anything, Amber watched as Akai dove into the water. There was that part of her that wanted to warn him about the lake. Something was horribly wrong with it, things that had been occuring in her dreams. Instead, her voice had been caught in her throat as she watched Akai jump in to look for V without hesitation.
"Be careful." She said softly, starting a dash in an attempt to glide over and along the banks of the lake. A shining of golden hair, eyes, a body...anything. She had felt the need to cry since Akai had snatched her up and brought her here. V was her only close female friend in the school and she (useless) had not been able to prevent this.

Sakura came up to the right of Amber she frowned, maybe he would have a btter chance of saving her.
" I tried that already."
Her voice was distant, her hands tight against her own arms. She watchd the ripples of the water, they seemed to cascade against one another. She was so torn she could of easily ran the other way and hidden herself.
" As two people across a train track stop and stare. Does the train make them dissapear?"
She spoke to noone but herself, she had to keep her guilt hidden.

How could she have simply fallen in and yet not surface at all? Did she pass out? Was she sick?
A circle around the lake and Amber found nothing. It had only been a few minutes that Akai had been underwater, as long as she could see the air bubbles surface the lake, she wouldn't worry. Instead she glided back to Sakura, landing right next to her.

Sakura looks up at Amber, her eyes hidden by the tree's shadow. She has to word this carefully, or she might lose her roommate or her life.
" I was just trying to clear my head about Maevis, and so I came to the lake to think. As I was walking up I saw a figure by the water, I started to walk towards her. I saw the color of the hair and outfit and thought it was V. She feel in and i raced over to see if I could find her. I dove in and all I found was water. I was so scared so I came to find help. How do we save her?"
She turns her head as shte tears fall, she felt so bad about it. She tried to wipe the tears away, she watched the water.
The lake swallows Akai completely, and the dark waters silk smooth over his head; the disturbance his entrance causes sends out circular ripples. And then those ripples smooth out. And by then Amber has half-walked half-glided around the other half of the lake, Sakura in tow, but there's not the faintest glimmer of gold. The lake is deep, and it hasn't thrown anything ashore; placid waters.
... How long can Akai hold his breath? No doubt a long time - probably longer than V can. Could?
Djibril gives a little pulse against Amber's throat, a hot flash, small - and quickly gone.
Akai dives into the water. And it's cold. And it's cold. And it's knife-to-the-bone cold the deeper he swims. The water weeds wrap around him but he can easily disentangle. His eyes may be open; they may glow; but they do not shed enough light. His vision is limited.
And as he swims (and his lungs, eventually, begin to ache; but he is an athletic boy, and can hold his breath for a long time before he begins to become lightheaded) a sleekness of gold slithers and undulates through the deeps, his spirit beast: a sinuous presence, going in the opposite direction. There are catfish and other fish and tadpoles and frogs. Other things. But the dragon feels not the slightest sign of V's body, living or other.
But the lake is big. There's a lot of ground to cover. Where did Sakura say V fell in, again?

How long till Akai had to surface for a breath of air indeed. It was one of those rare limits that he never really got test, to see how much his body can take and go on without oxygen. Before the lightheadedness starts to warp to the already skewed vision, the lungs start to burn, they grow desperate for more of the precious life giving oxygen.
Akai was like a shark, he swam for more faster than any normal human could ever acheive with their own muscles - those streamline and sleek formed muscles move in a symphony of balance and grace that almost seemed too perfect.
The pain, it was the burn, the thirst for air that his lung yerned for -- that precious life giving air, just a breath more. The ascent was a quick one, the surface of the water was disturbed, air bubbles at then, the that inky black was matted to his face -- sharp gasp of breath were taken as those shining orbs looked towards the lake shore, watching the two figures talk.
Alsa, he was a boy of action and very little words - a quick moment to gather the senses and then, the center of the lake was his destination.
From the eastern shore, the beast snaked it's way through the water. The serpentine motions slipped deeper into the Lake, searching for a sign of the girl. The mental link shared with his master relayed back the images and thoughts of the beast. From the east it moved, lower and deeper towards the center, polar opposite sides from which they swim.
Time, it is an precious thing - and it was one thing that did not have very much of. Already, the pain started to set in, the riot of the mind was impending. . .and he needed outlet.

No mistake about it, Amber felt the hot flash of a pulse against her neck. Out of pure reaction, she clasped her hand around the crystalline companion. Waiting, feeling for another reaction, both were agonizing to feel.
Both of my friends are down there...please surface again you two...
A long time ago, back before the more cheerful and bright days at MHS, a being wrapped in shadows spoke to her. It had grabbed her arm with such force that in the morning she would find bruises where it had grabbed. Whispers, whispering in her mind about the curse of the nephilim...
"Not just eyes, wings but mere relationships. You will be robbed of what God gave to humans and to angels...all for the sin that lurks in you."
Amber's eyes misted over with oncoming tears as she watched the lake. Akai had not come up for air yet, V was nowhere in sight in that dark water...and her trembling hand waited, still clasped over Djibril in hope for another pulse.

Sakura looked over at Amber as she grabbed her pendulum. She knew this could be trouble, her eyes became round with fear. She moved away from Amber which brought her closer to the lake. She looked out over the water, her hands clenched tightly on the hem of her shirt.
" Please....."
She tried not to keep crying, but the tears feel down her cheeks.

The lake is still all silvered with the moon and there's no wind. Even the slight breeze before stills and stills until the air hangs motionless. Then there's a sound -- a crack -- and a tremble races across the surface of the lake. A dark ripple, shiver.
Akai feels it underwater. The water moves. Akai's spirit beast feels it, too. The water moves.
And after the water moves (and there, a flurry of fish swimming frantically toward shore, slimy against Akai's face) so does something else. The spirit beast will feel it [see it, in his bones] and be able to warn Akai. It comes from all sides except for directly up, and is closing fast. But what? A wall --
or a net.
The surface is still for another second, above. If Amber and Sakura missed the first ripple, they won't miss the second: it begins at the shore, then races back toward the center, a dark fin of water. Not quite natural, but not quite unnatural -- straddling the line. If there weren't such a derth of moonlight, it would be an invisible movement.

Two ripples, Amber was sure of it as those dark eyes stared into the water waiting for gold or ice blue. Instead those single ripples...
Amber was now worried, it had been a long time since Akai had jumped into the water. The girl slipped easily out of her mary jane heels, clad in the black thigh high stockings now.
"Something's wrong Sakura...Maybe we should go in."
Does she mind those ripples in the water? Or maybe she was concerned with her friends to care what they were. Fish lived in the lake among other things...

Sakura looks up as Amber speaks, her thoughts on what she had done. She wonders was it a good idea to lick and then toss V into the lake. her eyes go wide as she ponders her downfall.
"Something's wrong Sakura...Maybe we should go in."
She lets got a gaso as those words slip from innocent Ambers mouth. She gets a glimpse of her fate as she thinks back to a battle she was never even a part off. Her fingers tear at the hem of her shirt in fear, hopefully Amber doesn't notice.
" Ummmmmmmm...............I have already thought of that. Akai has not come up either, i fear for both of them. "
She ponders her options.
One: she could go in first she might get pulled under also.
Two: She could let Amber go and if she gets pulled under she could run like hell. Then she would deffianlty be found guilty. What would a friend do she thought, what would redeem her torrid actions.
" I don't want to lose one more friend to this murky lake I will go in and try and find them. If I am lost to the waters grim deepths. Tell Maevis I love him and will miss him."
Swiftly she takes off her coat and shirt, her skin is exposed to the cool air. She lays them on a pile on the beach, she strips off her shoes and pants. Her tattoo whirls in her skin the moon giving it an eerie glow. She Smiles at Amber and moves closer to the edge.
" Amber, you were the best roommate I have ever had."
Her soft voice carries on the wind. She dives into thewater, she tosses her life to its doom.

It was a beast of instincts, those instincts told it to ascend -- flee the water and just give up on the search. Serpentine, like a snake - but it was a dragon, wings lay against the lenght of it's back as it sliced through the water - making a rush for the surface of the water.
Golden scales illuminate through the water, golden shine slightly through the suffocating darkness of the waters -- the unnatural sources of light being created were minor at best and the moonlight was the only natural source -- aiding those above to see something. . .

The signal, the telepathic communication rippled through his brain - the beast was moving and his master could feel it, surging through the water -- the eyes of the beast might as well have been Akai's very eyes -- the ehcoing color of gold shined, the markings on his arm glowed with an intense brightness.
Body. Mind. Spirit. Ryu. (cast in fire)
All were interconnected, all restricted his power.
Towards the beast he swam, ascending through the depths of the water, lungs pleading for air (.the.precious.) while he pleaded with himself to just find the girl (V(V)-- a silent vow to himself, to always protect , to always be there, he could not - he would not, fail her.
Whatever this thing was attempting to surround them, Akai was not going to allow it -- his ascension was a steady a swift one and besides there the desperate need for air, Akai had to surface.

Akai jack-knifes toward the surface and his sleek dragon [spirit familiar] is ahead and above him, an elegant creature of thin scales. All around him is a strange motion, as if a throat were flexing its wet walls; strangling closed By the time the water above him (IS he going up?) seems to lighten slightly (a good sign?) the feeling of a presence is all around him, panic-inducing in those who would be touched by claustrophobia, and it's beginning to close above him, too. The lighter surface begins a tinier and tinier thing.
Meanwhile, Sakura dives into the water. The water is as cold as ice, and it cuts with cold, and feels strangely lifeless and stagnant. As Sakura's eyes adjust, she'll notice pinpoints of gold light shine-dancing up ahead, coming from below and streaking for the top -- all else is too murky to see. Before her there's a great sense of movement, however, and she's almost grabbed and swept up by the current of that movement.

Like a bolt of lighting they shot up towards the surface of the water -- the chance for escaping dwindles with every passing second. Maybe it was the knife cold water, maybe it was the intense pain of those now frequent headaches, but when he broke the surface of the water, it was brief -- quick, that precious oxygen was snatched by his lungs before he was snatched.
Something pulling him down -- the last sign of Akai was the glowing arm breaking the surface only to be snatched away -- Its light faded away into the murky depths and whatever fate awaited him.
Ryu
The beast, at the falling behind of his master - was slowed down, it would protect his vessel at all cost, the chance for escape is lost -- Ryu stands at the ready, testing the boundries - talon swipes, fang bites, and tail whips.
