Re: Watching the Sunset (Ciara)
Ciara's eyes narrow as she watches Knives dart around behind her. There's no time to react, though, and she feels his claws slice her back between her wings, one claw catching the frame of one wing. She shrieks, the phenomenally high-pitched sound letting all wildlife within miles know of her pain. She collapses to her hands and knees for a moment, recovering slightly, then she lifts herself back to her feet and runs a few steps toward the lake before spreading her wings and launching herself back into the air.

Using her wings now that her back is injured was probably not the best of choices, but she has no other options until she can plan another move. Unfortunately, her body decides to disagree with her. Her back muscles, wounded from Knives' attack, spasm and make flying impossible. She shrieks again and plummets into the lake.

Re: Watching the Sunset (Ciara)
Knives watched as she fell from the sky, into the water. He stood there for a moment, breathing hard. The battle had not gotten as intense as the animal had hoped, and he'd only begun to tap the immense power of this new form....but even so, it had been a pretty good fight, and Ciara had proved herself as a powerful demon. She'd gained the animal's respect; and that, on top of the killing instinct he could smell within her, was enough to please the demon.

So, rather than continue the battle, he set out to save her. The dog leapt into the water, and swam out towards where he could smell her scent. There, he found her limp body floating on the water's surface, and he reached out with his muzzle to grasp her shirt between his teeth. Then, turning around, he swam back to shore, pulling her body behind him.

Once he reached the shoreline, Knives tugged Ciara out of the water, dragging her first across the sand, and then into the grassy area, where he let her lay on the ground. Being the animal, and not the human, Knives was unable to do anything to help her. So, he simply stood over her, and began licking her face, trying to get her to feel better.

Of course, the battle had been long, and night was now nearing its end...The sun would soon be out, and Knives would change back....

Re: Watching the Sunset (Ciara)
Ciara lay docile in Knives' grip as he hauled her to the shore. She wasn't unconscious, but she'd never mastered the art of swimming with wings and, therefore, would probably have drowned without the dog's help. She gasps as Knives drags her up the shore, sandy grit scratching at the wounds on her back.

Once Knives begins licking her face, she grimaces and raises a hand to wipe his saliva off. She looks up at the dog and gives him a faint smile, nodding her respect up at him. "Ye won, Knives. Fair an' square, ye beat me." She tries to push herself into a sitting position, grimacing as the movement pulls the muscles in her back. She's definitely going to be feeling this skirmish for a while.

After she manages to sit up, she watches Knives cautiously. Ciara wonders how much of this he'll remember once he returns to his normal self, if he'll remember any of it. Shrugging those thoughs aside, she begins to doctor herself as much as she's able right now. Ripping a strip of cloth from her shirt, she wraps it gently around her wounded tail. Tearing another strip of cloth from her shirt, she turns to Knives and offers with her actions to clean his wounded muzzle. It's very likely that he won't allow her to touch his injury, but it seems only fair to offer since he helped her once.

Re: Watching the Sunset (Ciara)
When Ciara sat up, Knives sat down beside her, facing her, his eyes on her. He watched and waited to see what she would do. His face held no emotion; his body didn't move much, and his tail didn't even wag. He didn't seem quite happy, though he definitely wasn't angry or ferocious any longer. He felt fulfilled for the night; the animal in him had gotten to battle a similarly powerful creature. But he was starting to get rather tired now....

And then, she reached forward, in an attempt to wipe his muzzle. At first, Knives didn't move, he didn't even give her an expression to let her know what he was thinking. He didn't mind whether she touched him, now that the animal was on better terms with her. But the moment the cloth came in contact with his wound, he flinched and growled slightly; any dog would do so, and it meant nothing to how he felt about her. It just hurt....and, being an animal with no human intelligence at the moment, he didn't know that it was for his own good.

And then, the sun started coming up. Light broke across the horizon, brightening up the area a little. It only took a little bit of light to break the spell, though; the night was now over. Knives started to change again; his muzzle disappeared into his face, his fur disappeared, and his body realigned itself into a humanoid form. This transformation took seconds, much shorter than the one at the beginning of the night.

Soon enough, Knives was sitting before Ciara, cross-legged, with his palms on the ground in front of him: much like the seated position he'd been in when he was still a beast. He blinked a few times, staring at Ciara; the past several hours were completely blank to him. He tilted his head to the side, looking at her curiously. It was obvious he didn't know what happened.

"What...just happened...?" He reached up to scratch his head. Now that he was sitting back, it was quite obvious that he was wearing nothing but a torn pair of boxers; for some reason, the rest of his clothes had simply torn away from his body during the growth stage, but the boxers seemingly transformed with him. He didn't even seem to notice his lack of clothes, though. He just grinned stupidly at Ciara, not quite sure what had just happened....he simply assumed he'd fallen asleep in the midst of their time together.

Re: Watching the Sunset (Ciara)
Ciara's hand drops back into her lap as Knives goes through his second change for the night. Her eyes widen as she watches his fur recede almost too quickly to see. His transformation was remarkable the first time, but this one was simply astounding. She'd heard of such things as werewolves and the like, but this was the first time she'd ever seen one in reverse. It was amazing.

"What...just happened...?"
Ciara quickly realizes that Knives has no idea what just happened. With that realization comes the knowledge that, even though she just spent the better part of the night battling with him while in her true form, he won't remember. Yet here she is, still in her full demonic glory, blood seeping down her back, a blood-soaked rag tied around her tail, every nuance of her true form easily visible to the naked eye.

She goes almost instantly from being a ruthless killer after a hard battle to being the little insecure girl she usually is once these realizations hit. The only difference becomes the fact that she doesn't quite look like that little insecure girl anymore...

Re: Watching the Sunset (Ciara)
It took several moments for the situation to register. Since it felt as if Knives had only just woken up, his mind hadn't wrapped around what was going on. He blinked a few times, before lifting his hand to his eyes to rub them. Finally, his vision and his mind focused, and he saw Ciara, sitting before him. The change in her appearance startled him for a moment, and he jumped.

"Whoa!" But the shock faded quickly. His mind was still slow, as if it was drowsy, and he'd completely forgotten her powers for a moment. But after that moment passed, he realized....she could change her form. A smile crept onto his face, as he crawled over to her on his hands and knees.

Slowly, he reached out with one hand, shifting his weight to the other. His fingers came to touch a horn on her head gently, brushing along it's surface. His eyes were wide, staring at it, and when he finished, he chuckled happily to himself, grinning at her.

"Cool!!!!"
